With all eyes on her, it is no wonder that brides put in plenty of thought into the dress she’ll be wearing as she walks down the aisle to the love of her life. Even as the world battles the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrations are forced to be smaller than ever, finding that perfect dress for her wedding remains the utmost important for brides.

Despite weddings getting smaller, we see some brides going big for their once-in-a-lifetime with a grand ballgown, while some turn to more unique wedding outfits such as bridal jumpsuits and modern cheongsams. Traditional wedding attires are also making a comeback in weddings in 2021, and we think that adds an extra meaningful (and colourful!) touch to this milestone celebration. For a peek at what 2021 brides wore for their weddings, here’s a round-up of the best wedding dresses this year.

First of all, these aren’t your traditional wedding gowns, but that doesn’t make these bridal outfits any less beautiful! Blush coloured wedding dresses boomed in popularity a few years back and its easy to see why! This sweet and feminine shade stands out from the pristine white gowns and adds a touch of romance and whimsy that makes all the girly brides squeal ‘Ooh!’.

We’ve been seeing quite a number of brides in beautiful modern cheongsams for their weddings or pre-wedding shoots this year, some with elegant and intricate embroidery designs, and some fashioned in a contemporary, minimalist look, and they are too beautiful not make it to our roundup of best wedding dresses of 2021!

6. Traditional Wedding Outfits

Traditional wedding outfits such as the Qun Kua for Chinese, the Lehenga for Indian brides and the bridal songket for Malay brides, are making a comeback for weddings in 2021. Beautiful, colourful and meaningful, these traditional wedding outfits tell a story about our ancestors and culture.
