Grand Park City Hall

Hi Blur btb & weixiang,

Did you all take up the UOB offer for additional 6 bottles of wine? in that case, cannot use Manhattan card to pay for the deposit right?

Thanks.

Sorry for disappearing.. peak period at work.

Luckstar: I asked William, and he say if we want, can go in once every qtr to pay a bit first so that can get rebate.. but we are broke.. haha after the house and the deposits, so thinking about it...

So what it means is that when you pay with the manhattan card, you will get 5% off the 3000 deposit.. it will be a direct rebate off the amt you got to pay in bills. The rebate is max 5% for each qtr (ie 3k). So if you want to pay off a bit more, have to go back to GPCH in the next qtr to pay some more in the same way. Just have to tell william.

Mine is 10 July next year... 6 months + left... *shudders*

Luvyvel: I think the stairs refer the park palace restaurant in the lobby.. but if is the ballroom (only one big one), there is direct lift access. not to worry.

Check out some locations you like bah.. but if you are talking about budget, then within the same range will be HIPV, NCQ, Carlton... not sure when Orchard Grand Park opens but if its new, then the price will go UPPPPPP only...

Yup, i agree with Weixiang that L shape not very good.. if you have a big gown, its gg to be technically difficult to turn a corner... might mess it up at the back and nobody can reach to straigthen for u (or the person will be captured in camera and video)...

I look through it and if its a Y shape march in, you will go through about 3 tables before u meet HB and then 3 before stage...

I peresonally dun want too long cos i might trip.. hahaha... Just do something interesting and it doesnt matter how long or short it is...

For mine, i probably do a one door entrance each and then meet in centre.. PG and VG say they will have enough time to take pic of both of us even if 3 table distance...

Antz: Yup, I did, took up the UOB offer... (ask quietly) whether you can just show him the UOB card and pay with the Manhattan card! Oops.. just dun say you heard it from me...I almost forgot abt this.. hahaha.. now that you mentioned...

like to add on to blur btb, the cash rebate is capped at $300 per quarter... hence, the max you can pay at any quarter is 6k... Month 1 pay $3k, Month 3 pay $3k... Seems like a good deal.. I will try to work towards that.. but.. wor.. quite xiong wor.. my housing loan will be kicking next April le...

dont think they'll mind taking the money in advance. hahaha..

is the UOB 6 bottles wine promo back??
haiz.. it was just over when i signed up in sept. and now it's back?!
sad.gif

Hi all,

The UOB 6 bottle wine promo is back. But using the Manhattan Card can get alot of cash rebate.

If we pay the deposit for the wedding package? Anyone know how to gain benefits from both cards at one time?

weixiang, jiening, blur btb - If we are using Manhattan card to pay in advance , in order to get more cash rebate. Will we put ourselves in risk for paying more before our AD? Can anyone suggest, which way and how to pay the deposit to gain the maximum benefits from the Manhattan card. Heee, my AD is Dec 2010. Need to pay the first deposit soon......

Thanks in advance....
happy.gif

Every quarter you can choose to pay $6k. Month 1 pay $3k, Month another $3k.. In that quarter you will reap maximum cash rebate capped at $300.

Do it for 4 quarters, you will get $1200 cash rebate back. Problem is you need to fork out $24k up front.

Geez I signed up only less than 6 weeks ago... Sianz.. I missed 2 lobangs, one for the bridal show wedding promotion extra perk, one for this 6 bottle of wine. But nevermind,i got a good deal.. but would have been better if complimented with this.. blur btb would know..

jiening, dun be sad.. at least you got to secure your preferred date...

likewise for mine, i got it for my top and best date for me over the weekend :D

luckystar: Hey, what do you mean risk in paying more for AD? To me, it will just mean that you are paying a higher deposit than the other pple

But then again, please do it if it is within means. Cos if unable to pay back, the interest you have to fork out for the credit card company is likely to be higher than the rebate that you are getting.

Alternatively, Just use this card to pay for all wedding stuff that can be paid by the Manhattan card. Thus, you can also earn rebates over time without paying too much for the banquet. The 3k deposit is suggested to pay w this card cos it will max out the minimum amt you need to get the highest rebate for the qtr.

Am sure there are other things to pay for like jewellery, bands, caterers, albums etc.

blur btb, i have checked with the website.. unless there is a typo error online.. Each quarter, one is entitled to maximum cash rebate of $300, 5% of card spend if the monthly bill exceeds $3000.

Hence for each quarter, the maximum card spending allowed for maximum cash rebate is $6000.

$6000 x 4 quarters.. Its no joke.. If one decides to choose this mode of payment, be prepared to pay your bills in full. No point paying the minimum and snowballing on the interest which is WAY MORE than the cash rebate...

Luckystar, you may want to take note of that. Yeah, i will be finalising on my AD PG & VG by tomorrow..

Blur btb,

I mean if we pay so much up-front, if due to some other reasons (Touchwood), we are unable to hold the dinner that day. Then will all our deposit be forfeited? Guess, this is my only concern...is just like...paying an item first but you wont be able to use the item till the actual date.

I was thinking to apply the Manhattan card together with my hubby. Then, before two months from AD. Each of us pay S$6k (for 2 months $3k monthly). Total, we will pay $12k upfront and get $600/- cash rebate. Will this way be more safer?

sorry, i hope someone knows what i meant..cos im not good in using credit cards..

Weixiang, congrats....

Guess, you are very satisfied with your PG & VG package. Hee, i just get approval from both side parents..so will be asking GPCH to send us a draft contract for us to read through and sign.

Ya, you are right..i did call Standard Chart pertaining to the card..so quarterly, at most we can swipe the card for $6k, for us to get the maximum cash rebate of $300 per quarter.

But as what i had mentioned...isit advisable to do it ths way? hmm...i can still afford to pay this way from our savings...cos i be staying with my hubby's parent...so at least we dun need to spent more on housing..

Weixiang: haha.. i think i havent been very clear.. what i meant is that you need to spend at least S$3k each qtr to get the maximum % of rebate that is 5%.

What you meant is an additional point which is each card can get a maximum of S$300 rebate a quarter which is from spending of S$6k a qtr am i rite?

Who in the end did you get for your VG and PG. I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience. HOpe it does not affect you too much.... just go with what makes you happy. At the same time, i think just give the small businesses benefit of the doubt that they might not function the same way as the big names do.

Luckystar: Yup, unfortunately i think it might be. But if i m not wrong, base on contractual terms (u have to look at yours), the nearer the cancellation to the actual date, u have to compensate the hotel up to a certain % for their loss in revenue as well.

Yup the method your propose should be safer. at the same time, you get time to save up as well!

Congrats tat you will be one of us as well! You be a happy bride...

Have you gotten your PG and VG?

Blur btb,

I need to settle the contract with GPCH. After settle this issue, i will then look for PG and VG.

How abt u? have u gotten your PG and VG? heee....can intro me?

Luckstar78sg, I can pass you the contact... If you are looking for PG, can email

[email protected]

He has done quite a lot of weddings.. One thing it really comes across to me, he is really a good guy. He doesn't charge you by the hour, nor restrict it to just 10 hours.. No restrictions even to outdoor shoots for AD, as long as transport is provided where you can ask your xiong dis to drive...

The photos he shown me even includes those taken after the wedding dinner, where xiong di/ji mei and other well wishes actually gate crash the bridal suite after the whole event.. His photos can easily hit 1000-2000+ shots... He is a very hardworking man...

Best thing, his charges are super reasonable.. Way below $1000... you can email him, he is very prompt as well.. He will email his portfolios for you to consider and can meet up to share with you his entire collection...

something i like about him is his attention to details. He shoots in multiple bursts, where important scenes are captured like at least 6-7 shots and you can see the transition.. very nicely done..

He shoots in RAW and post processed everyone of them.

blur btb, eventually i also settled for small businesses which are home based. they have their full time day jobs.. their pre-services rendered are excellent.. ^^

at leas to me, they are able to hold the date and not "mercenary" compared to Forest productions...

The best thing is i have gotten an even better deal, where the photos and videography are not compromised.. ^^

one thing i like to share, my PG & VG were able to take my booking without price increase, despite going to raising their prices in 2010...

the other productions, despite having my perspective sister in law doing her VG with them refused to accede to my request of securing the current package. The date difference is about 4 months, and it will cost me about $300 more... i was still okie with it.. however when they told me no holding of dates, first come first served with $$$ wins... it really turned me off..

Weixiang,

I just email to you. Waiting for your reply.

I guess, you must be very pleased and satisfied with your current PG & VG. Isit in local? Cos some of my friends actually went to JB for wedding photos. I had seen the photos, very impressive.

Still considering whether to go there. But, it abit troublesome going all the way there.

Mayb, you can email me and tell me which productions so calculative...so tat i can avoid choosing them....
happy.gif
Thank you.

mmz.. forest productions is one of them... sorrie blur btb.. no doubt they are not bad but there is always a higher mountain out there.. ^^

they were telling me reason for surcharge was due to 2 impending price increase in 2010..

oops.. [email protected]

is the photographer... that's not my email.

nonetheless, no worries he will revert to you very fast..

PG/VG are for actual day right?

My BS is Bridal Concept.. actually after factoring the costs incurred and lack of support (no MUA and etc on actual day), i still think its more worth it to do it in singapore..

blur btb is paying alot to bring her make up artist over from JB for her AD... =(

My BS is Bridal Concept.

My PG/VG for AD are from local.

PG uses 2X 5D mark2 body along with
24mm-70mm f2.8L, 16mm-35mm f 2.8L, 85mm f1.8, 50mm f1.4, 15mm fisheye, EX580II

VG includes 10 hrs of shooting with FULL edit. He uses many equipments and my main camera is Sony XDCAM-EX1 (professional grade) and he also uses Canon 5D Mark2 and many lenses. To create all the cinematic effect, he uses Glidecam and Glidetrack and also do colour grading during editing.

hahaha...it okie..

so your photographer is oso from Bridal concept? where isit located?

Okie...i guess he/she will reply to my email.

Anyway, thanks for all the info....

nope my photographer is not from Bridal Concept. My advice is to get your own PG.. Try not to use those provided FOC by BS.. Btw, Bridal Concept does not provide PG for AD. It can be done at a cost.

However, i would very much prefer to source for my own. The most important thing is you must like what you see. =)

If you intend to consider BC as your BS, you can contact Stella, the manager at 6333 9411, 6837 2030... Its located at 16A & B Liang Seah Street.. She is very approachable one.. In fact, my perspective brother in law had his with them. My BTB and I are now engaging their services.. Really good
happy.gif

oh...so your photgrapher is not from Bridal Concept.

Okie, based on the informations you provided in this forum..i trust your taste and recommendations...
happy.gif

But, for Bridal suite and engaging a PG/VG..we need to spent how much? (I mean estimate)

PG/VG will be the same person rite? or it come wih a package?

errrrr.....sorry...realy know nuts abt it...hope u dun mind...

no worries... PG & VG can't be the same person. Do not be lured into very cheap packages... However, it does not equate that expensive must be good...

If you are on a budget, i would say [email protected] is very good in his PG.

PG can be as low as $300-$450, these are what some BS are charging if you are adding to your BS package... However do note that the PG who will be your AD might not be from the BS but rather some freelance PG that have some working relationship with the BS.

My advice is to look through what you like. If you were to ask blur btb, her PG are in the range of 2-3k... I nearly fainted.. heehee... Some of the really top end ones can easily charge 5-6k... Zzzz..... but do note that if you are engaging from those big establishments, they have a huge overhead cost. They got studio rental, advertising and etc.

VG likewise, the cheapest i have seen so far was $988... However, the quality is lacking. Some freelancers are emailing me $1888 for PG & VG complete package... Its neither here nor there.

Its a very interesting process. My VG comes up to $2100++, which includes AD VG, Express Highlights & ROM VG on a separate day. At first glance, it might cost more than Forest Productions. But i do like what i see in their works and etc.. Take note that some PG/VG have hidden cost. Shall not dwell too much on that.

Forest Production has a package which you can consider. Think its $2000-3000.. There will be surcharge coz they going to revise their prices soon... The prices that they are charging, i might as well take ala carte and is still better. In terms of photos, videos and equipment used. Not mentioning pre-services rendered and looking through their portfolio, i am blown away..

BS package is ard $3++k
PG is way below 1k if you engage Shu Yen.
VG is like 1-2k at least..

hope it helps

just remember cheap does not mean good..
likwise expensive does not mean good either..

to take an unknown PG from BS, you might as well engage a freelance PG whom u like.. Such services start from $600 onwards...

Professional ones start from at least $1000 onwards.

Weixiang,

Do you think its needed to engage a VG? actually i hv a tight budget, so likely will just be taking PG no VG. Really dunno if its needed to hv a VG or not. Any advise?

Thanks.

Antz, if you have a tight budget... I would strongly recommend you to take [email protected]
as PG. For him, he is not particular about making as much money as possible from you. He operates on per assignment basis. I met up with him, saw his good portfolio, what amazes me was his willingness to go the extra mile. I meant he doesn't charge for early services, even at 6am or so. He is more than willing to cover the full session with you from start till end, even if the ending is after the wedding dinner... Between the morning and night, if you would like to have outdoor shoots, he would do his best to accommodate you. No issue as long as transport is provided..

For other PG, they operate on a block of 10hr basis, any combination. They would add surcharge for early service and extra hourly rate for over run.

VG is not a must. Shu Yen was telling me what makes him different, he is not stingy with his camera shots. For important moments, he actually shoots consecutively in multiple bursts, where you can see the expressions and motion... Something like VG

Hence, if you would not want to engage a VG. Get Shu Yen, he is highly recommended from me.

[email protected]

Just my 2 cents worth to Antz C and Luckystar78sg.

My BS is Printemps from JB City Square. So far, I have a very good package from them as I was recommended by another friend who took hers about 4 years ago. I was attracted due to the high standard of photography that they do for locations that are different from the usual ones in SG.

The service is very good and i top up 49 pictures and in all, my package is about S$4k. I know everyone in the shop well and they are always nice and friendly and go the extra mile as well. Not stuck up at all.

As the JB BS do not include MUA in their package, I went about finding one here myself. It is supposed to be an easy task with a lot of choices but because I am not keeping long hair (mine is rather short bob), it gets more difficult. The last alternative is to hire from JB but at the very last minute, I manage to find someone very comfortable working with short hair and shes Ophelia from Pretty Box.

As for my VG, I hired Forest Productions (the one that Weixiang is unhappy with) as I have already got my date confirmed and thus able to decide quickly. My HB is also comfortable with Jon's style and they nicely gave me their pre-increase price as well. Thus we decide to just go ahead with them. I wanted to meet up with another free lance guy but he is charging as high as the bigger names and fly aeroplane about an hour before i m due to meet him. As such, i decide to give him a miss in case he doesnt show up on my wedding day. My VG is about S$1.1

If budget allow, i tot that we should have a VG as moving images are never the same as pic. They capture emotions and real sounds of the day. And the bride gets to watch the gatecrashing portion afterwards as well.

As for PG, this one is one of the most important priority for me. In fact, I view a good AD PG more important than my gown or the pre wedding. Reason because the pics taken on this day represents memories of the most important day of my life and I want to be able to pass it on to the next generation (i still have those of my mum and aunts' weddings)

Thus I found Jonathan from The Moving Frame. In terms of cost, he is definitely not cheap to hire (quotes about S$2.5k) compared to some you can find on the market but i love the way the pic are framed and the vibrancy of colours. He takes pictures like an artist. I signed him on the spot as well. He is the 3rd PG i met and i really look forward to having him cover my wedding.

But again, to each his own as we shouldnt compare PG and VGs like packages for BS and banquets as the output varies by the individual style of each person as well. So pick what you like!

Here's feedback for my wedding in end Nov:

Food: Generally was ok guests overall felt that serving is quite generous and taste quite alright and what you will expect in a wedding banquet. Guests commented that the fish and prawns were big and fresh. Most of them like it. Our families however felt that the standard of food varied from the food tasting. The chicken was very cold and hard and the shark’s fin diluted.

Banquet team: Overall professional and they know what they are doing. Quite satisfied with them.

Coordinator: We were quite disappointed with her service, probably because she took over our case from her colleague who left so her service was very slow. We had to send several emails to followup with her before she will reply. At times when she didn’t reply, we had to call her. After feedback to her to be more prompt, she did improve a little but subsequently standard drop again.

Hiccups during the dinner which we emailed to coordinator but did not receive any replies... We had to email again and call again to get replies..........

1) Vegetarian guest -
We had informed GPCH in advance of the table number that our vegetarian guest will be seated, it was however highlighted to our attention (by our friends) that the vegetarian dishes were not served promptly and often overlooked. My guests had to constantly highlight to the waiters to serve the vegetarian food to our guest. Out of all the dishes, only 2-3 came in time, some dishes were even served 15 mins after the normal food was served. It really did not reflect well on the host, which is us.......

2) Birthday cake MIA -
As it’s my birthday as well, my sisters had specially prepared a birthday cake for me as a surprise. Everything went well and following the banquet, I did not see my birthday cake anymore. I had initially thought that the cake was cut and distributed to my VIP tables. During the next day when I checked with my families did I realise that no one ate the cake and no one saw it thereafter. I checked with my coordinator and she said that the banquet manager told us to collect it during checkout from the hotel, but it was not the case... Anyway she went to investigate and realise that indeed is an oversight from their end and promise to return another cake to me as a compensation.

However, she later wrote to use to offer buffet dinner for 2 as a compensation instead which we are ok. So we replied to suggest a date and we did not hear anything from her since. No confirmation whatever. Today we tried to contact her again and she’s in the office working (coz I called the office num), she replied that she is checking with Reservations on the dinner. But I guess the minimum is to reply to say you are checking....... This is really bad service!

3) OHP -
My photographer also commented that the OHPs were not displaying the color correctly. He feedback to us there is something wrong with the color displayed by the OHP and they thought it can be fixed by some color adjustment but upon further observation it seems like the "Replace Bulb" is flashing at the screen instead. So we told our coordinator that perhaps the OHP requires calibration for future use.

dear pudding, may i check with you on what was the chicken which you had ordered? was it crispy chicken or ginseng chicken?

agree with blur btb, we should not compare packages on PG and VGs like packages for BS and banquets as the output varies by the individual style of each person as well. So pick what you like! What irks me was the pre-services rendered by FP. Seems like even if you engage them one year in advance, they will find ways to upz their prices... If I were to take the exact package with my perspective sister in law, I have to top up a difference of 300, where its just a few months difference. Hence, very unprofessional, despite there is no mentioning on their latest price package.

Regards PG, in the end I did not pick Shu Yen due our preference for another style for AD PG.

To break down my PG is around 1+k, my VG is around 2+k. Note that these are promotional offers, due to early bird bookings.. They are going to revise their prices in 2010... In all, what I have spent is appromixately to what blur btb had spent.

My PG and VG are separate people.

To share on what my VG is using

"My ADW starts from $xxxx for 10 hrs of shooting with FULL edit, express highlights and couple story. I use many equipments and my main camera is Sony XDCAM-EX1 (professional grade) and I also use Canon 5D Mark2 and many lenses, including L lenses. To create all the cinematic effect, I use Glidecam and Glidetrack and also do colour grading during editing."

My PG is using 2X 5D mark2 bodies with lens already attached, where he can simply capture the essence of the mooments without having to change lens. His arsenal of lens include

24mm-70mm f2.8L, 16mm-35mm f 2.8L, 85mm f1.8, 50mm f1.4, 15mm fisheye, EX580II

Those who are into PG and VG will appreciate their works and arsenal of tools, which really aren't cheap at all. Their arsenal of tools' cost are in couple of tens of thousands. Of coz, their quality of the works are good too.

pudding, possible to email me who is your wedding coordinator?

william, the banquet sales manager is handling my case, where i can possibly highlight your concerns to him. its saddening to know that things did not go that well for your wedding.
sad.gif

weixiang, since the sales manager is handling your case should be safer coz you will not be encountering the same coordinator as me. I will just name her J. Anyway i'm not sure if her service is like that to other couples, but we're quite disappointed with her follow-up skills coz we being the customers have to keep chasing her. Funny thing is when you meet up with her during discussion, she seems pretty ok...

We felt that the overall experience with GPCH is quite alright, and you will be in safe hands during your wedding coz the banquet team is quite good. I think we're just very disappointed with J's service and her replies to our feedback email. She is very defensive and in certain ways not quite receptive to our suggestions. She also takes forever to reply and when you call her she can tell you that oh she's waiting for reply from her colleagues whether what we request is approved. But i think at least what she can do is to let us know that she's checking and will revert back.

Did you encounter such problems with the manager?

I hope your wedding will go well, don't worry so much. Our chicken dish is the crispy chicken. Actually it tastes quite nice during food tasting, but during the banquet it seemed that the chicken was placed aside for awhile thus cold and hard.

The buffet dinner compensation that J offered to give us, we had to follow up at least 5 times to settle it. She didn't even bother to confirm with us.

pudding:

You must be quite relieved that the wedding is finally over. Dont get too upset about it because at least everything gone well during the dinner and your guests are overall happy.

As for the coordinator, I guess service levels and passion also vary from person to person, so dont get too upset about it alright.

I hope you get your buffet dinner soon!

My coordinator is William, the sales manager, overall a very nice and helpful guy too!

Weixiang:

Confuesd, so in the end, who did you go for PG and VG? I keep thinking you went with Shu Yen.

Pudding, thanks.. I always thought cripsy chicken is one of the most liked dishes... zzz... seems like i will think twice again about selecting that dish... wondering how the ginseng chicken will taste like...

I think I know who you are referring to, with the initial being spelt out... will take note and highlight to William. Have you tried contacting William instead? William is the Banquet Sales Manager.

For William, i will say he is very prompt with his replies. We had some requests which he said that he would check with the management. The next day afternoon, he had already replied back to us through email. He is efficient and service oriented. I do note that his preferred mode of correspondence would be through email. Safer and better for both parties, as there would be black and white. ^^ Maybe i am just too long winded, my fiance always said i am extremely long winded for a guy.. Haha!!!

Like blur btb, William the banquet sales manager is a very nice and helpful guy.. I entrust him to do a good job for my wedding. In fact, I have a cousin and three colleagues who held their wedding in GPCH.

Heng i din select J, coz when i emailed for packages using the standard email address. J replied... I got to know William in the wedding show in Sept 09.. However, i did not make my booking as i was not certain of my wedding date.

blur btb, actually when i was seriously considering Forest Productions, my date has been fixed. The main issue with them was they were very inflexible, stating that the date cannnot be held, even for 5 days. It would be on date secured once deposit is received. In short and to be blunt, first to come with $$$$ first served.. Duhz... I dun recall GPCH having such practice. Likewise the PG and VG i eventually selected also din have this practice, they are able to hold for me.

Did i mention that they were more than willing to come down to meet me to showcase their portfolio, instead of Forest Productions that will cordially invite you to their home office in Redhill area. Even for delivery of final products are to be done in their home office, elsewhere there will be a surcharge of $50... $ here $ there.. No holding of dates, poor pre-services rendered. Its best I looked elsewhere.

They tot i had no budget for them, coz i wanted to nego with them about the price increase despite their promotion stating one price. They quoted me another price, reason being they going to upz their price.. sorrie, i am not thinking straight here.. but the thought of it really made my blood boil..

In the end, what i had paid for my PG & VG even exceeded what Forest Productions had quoted after their various surcharges but that is not the important point.

Too bad, they din get my business. You can imagine how appalled i felt when i told them hey my perspective sister to be is having their AD VG with you. They simply refused to burge, and added some $300 surcharge coz my date was 3-4 months after my perspective sister's wedding. I was okay with that, till one of the partner told me $ comes, date secured...

diaoz...

Generally was ok guests overall felt that serving is quite generous and taste quite alright and what you will expect in a wedding banquet. Guests commented that the fish and prawns were big and fresh. Most of them like it. Our families however felt that the standard of food varied from the food tasting. The chicken was very cold and hard and the shark’s fin diluted.

This itself is reassuring. I guessed we can't expect the same quality compared to AD, where they had to rush some 25 to 30 similar dishes out at the same time.

Hi weixiang,

Yes i tik you noe who my coordinator is :P
Actually i was hesistant on making the feedback here so we actually waited a few weeks to see her service and respond to our feedback but it was disappointing and hence we decided to post here so those who sign up with them can take note to prevent unhappy incidents from happening.

Seems like William is quite responsive and responsible as well. Indeed i did not get the same service level as most of our emails were not replied to.

The crispy chicken during food tasting is really quite good and i tik its also one of their "signature" dish, i'm not sure why the standard dropped that day...

Hi blur_btb,

Yes finally confirmed our buffet. We had to make at least 3 calls each today to finally be able to talk to her. My hb even sms her but no replies. I finally got hold of her and there were some problems with her phone and it got cut off halfway through the conversation, but yet she didn't bother to call me back when her phone problem was resolved. I had to call back again. I have nothing to say....

Well i heard some people say after your banquet and you paid for the fees, they usually won't bother much about you. Seems true for my case.

Yes, you are really right. We are really relieved and happy that our wedding is over. So funny feeling, after such a long preparation, it all just finish in a day. Really tiring but a great experience though. Now planning for our honeymoon
happy.gif

weixiang,

No we didn't feedback to William as we felt that nothing much could be done. After all the correspondence with J, we can't help but feel that they will defend their own people. I'm not sure if i'm right but that's the feeling i got after working with J. Anyway our wedding is over, think they will not entertain us much also haha

the person who served u all previously was a V right?

sorry to hear about it. but its good that you highlighted what had happened so that future BTBs and GTBs can take note...

i think i am one of the most active GTBs in SGBrides.. ^^ For me, the reason i chose GPCH was the generous portion of food, where they are fresh and big.

Been to some 5 star hotels, the portion served was pathetic, ended up i left the wedding banquet a hungry man.. still need to cook noodles to fill my hunger. =x

i guess every hotel have some areas of weakness... most important, they must be receptive to feedback and improve

Dear BTBs & GTBs, if you are wondering what arsenal of tools they are using..

My PG is using
- 2X 5D mark2 body

I will take note of this, in future if any of my friends considering GPCH again, i will refer them directly to William ^^

luckystar, you might want to take note of pudding's incident.. its best not to pay in full, be it over installments.. i feel sorry for pudding.. but happy for her that she can look forward to her honeymoon!
