hi all!
as i've mentioned, i'll share my food tasting exp with u all =)
i must say that i'm really impressed with the presentation, serving, taste and quality of the food. Although there were some changes to be made for our final menu, the overall exp was terrific
thumbs up for Park Palace (standard still very good although no longer SCDH)
hope this is informative for all of you. Take care and do consider GPPH!! =)

their wedding show is this Sat at the hotel.. GPPH itself...
the show would include a tour of the hotel, including its bridal suite, followed by the ballrm being decorated w different themes..
i understand it is something like tat... if u need a detail list of the programs for the day, let me go back n dig out the info from their invitation card..

honestly i'm not sure. The interior decor still the same, but the waitresses/waitors' uniform have changed, along with the name. What i heard from Vera is that the chefs have left, with exception of the master chef.
also, the restaurant has dropped the 'si cuan' style and is now a pure cantonese restaurant.
but rest assured the food is great!!!! i'm signing up this sat..anyone of u signing up too??? we can meet!! haha =)

i also sign up their package.. did any1 managed to hv the 10% rebate? Which rm is better? Oriental or Governor? Think i prefer the oriental suite more.
Did any1 try their dessert, mango pomelo? i din get to try at all as the queue is too long. Btw, will the AD sharksfin the same as wat we had on the bridal show? I personally feel tat their sharksfin is good! (Maybe too hungry?)

I managed to get the 10% rebate. Think i prefer the Governor suite cos of the jacuzzi.
The mango pomelo quite ok but i find some flour-like white dots on the surface. Don't know what is that. Agree that the sharkfin tastes yummy...hopefully the standard is the same on the AD.

i didnt manage to get extra perks, but they are quite flexi in 'swapping' the perks for other items.
i got the 10% too...hm..just wondering is it true that not everyone will get the 10% disc?
the food is good..at least similar to my food tasting (food tasting turn out better in my opinion)
Just to clarify, i'm very fussy with food, so went for a paid food tasting before i sign up during the wedding show.
On my food tasting, the mango pomelo doesnt have the white stuff floating..haha..i think they had on the wedding show that day as they left it there for too long.

I cant recall all that i swap, but one of which is that i have total of 2 superior rooms for helpers (1 night stay), i changed the menu of 3 dishes, and I exchanged another perk for food voucher at indulge.

Mine co-ordinator is Liping. hw abt yours? She onli told us to pay deposit first and she will arrange another meeting with us again to discuss more in details.
Did anyone ask can the stage be moved to another end? I personally feel that if the stage is to be at the centre, den the march-in will be short (*sob*). Had asked Liping, but she say the stage can onli be moved to the another end if you have 24 tables, more den that, you gt to place at the centre?!
So by the way, when is ure AD?

mabeleve, all their package does not include anniversary stay, just that we change the helper room stay for later use.

Hi, I'm new here! I've been to the fair and signed up for the package too. Getting the same perks as you all….. my coordinator is Michele, I find her very friendly.
However, we will only dicuss further in our next meeting. May I know what other things to ask them other than the normal package deals, anything I need to look out for like stage etc?

reference to the earlier post on changing the position of the stage to accomodate a longer march in...
i have made similar request to the hotel and note that such layout can only take up to 24 tables...
furthermore, with the change of position of the stage, the chinese calligraphy will become the backdrop if the hotel fail to cover it up completely with proper backdrop/organza...
If some of u have observed at the wedding show last sat, after putting up the backdrop, a portion of the chinese calligraphy can still be seen on both sides...
with that as the main basis, my hubby n i decided to opt out despite the attractive perks..
However, if u dun reali mind the chinese calligraphy, then GPPH is definitely a good choice.

i see, i only took 18 bottles of wine vs 1 bottle per confirmed table (i have 24 tables) thus the extra room. But it is subject to availability on that day itself. I did not try to glutinous rice ball that day, but heard from some that its quite nice =)

The other things you can ask is what you think you need (they are more likely to swap for u than give u more items). I swap some dishes due to pork and alcohol (I have muslim guests) so as long as yuo reason out with them they are ok =) Hope this helps! =)

thank goodness my missus is not the type who'd walk one long road. she just wanna do it short and sweet. so i'd keep the walkdown short.
gonna see michele soon to consider the decor and prob the food tastin as well. will update you all when i go thru my rounds by july.
