snowy- Actually what i know 25% of what i order can be return. I am not so sure what is the min $ to have that.

The wine that i order is Kangaroo Ridge Shiraz 2003 (Australia) & cost me $16.20
 
newbbi i ordered 48 bottles (confirmed). for 28 tables. i may want to take in some consigment, but the bad thing is that pan pac only waive 48 bottles for me at the moment... but i will just order some consignment.

Ladies, I am also back from my trip.. I haven posted for a long time now.. haha.. cos I was trying to finish washing, folding and ironing all the stinky laundry and when I am finally done with it, I realised that I need to look for another job... cos... a lot of things happen at work.. In any case, I found a new job and am serving my notice liao..
Yes, honeymoon is really a nice collection of memories that I hope we can all keep with us for a long long time.
The gathering to be scheduled in December? Maybe can suggest a date?

Winnie- i think should be enough. I only have 40 bottles. Do you have free flow of beer? If yes, at least the guests can have that. Actually sometimes depends on the guests whether they are drinkers or not

ching, Newbbi, yeap have free flow beer, but seems like from recent wedding hardly anyone touches beer leh..

so you think it is enough? i was still worrying about it... sigh...

and then have to consult you gals on your opinion. was asking my hubby if we should get more on consignment, he says if like that we may pay alot for the corkage, is it better to pay for the corkage $20+++ per bottle from the 49th bottle, or should we just tell the guest no more red wine when we finish 48 bottles?

ya, i tink its enough lor... cos 1 bottle can fill up to 6 glasses ,so 48x6=288 glasses lor...

of cos it won't be nice to tell teh guest no more red wine lor...hmm...but hor, corkage charge is too ex leh...

hi ladies,

i just had my wedding on 10 Nov, last thursday.

everything went very well...99% of the guests turned up and we made quite a lot from the wedding due to really generous ang paos, had a radio DJ as our host etc....

BUT.....there was a gatecrasher to our wedding...a young gal in her early 20s.... she din create any trouble and even appeared to enjoyed herself. she even took table photos with us and congrats us...when asked her...she was like..."u dun remember me? hhmm...perhaps u guys mah bo"...

so ladies...be careful hor...there are really strange people out there...

i am amazed that she even stayed till the very end and shook all our hands....

today, hubby went bck to work, those 30% who did not turn up act like nothing happen, no regrets etc. one col of mine last min told me she can't turn up, give me ang pows while the other one has not come bck. see what she will do.

After i brought the proofing of my invite cards for my mum to see, then she complained that the background of the card is too pale and white though it was cream in color. now very stressed cos she insists on changing the background esp at the back of the cards. stressed......

daphne - oh dear.. wat colour are ur cards? i thought from the designs we saw, it's quite colourful? or maybe u ask her to use the red invite? the one with the chinese word?? then u print it on a red card? or she wants u to change all including the invites u gonna give ur frens?
 
caitlyn, she is actually ok with the front designs, it's the back that she's not happy cos it' just the map and the map is black in color and as the card is supposed to be ivory but somehow it's a bit more to the white side and hence my mum not happy with the black and white thingy lor.... but the cards with the invitation words, as the words is gold (not really hotstamp gold but at least gold) so i think she's quite okay with that... sigh.... very headache...... this also now got to stressed.... if got more changes, i sure early dec then get invites liao and i'll be stressed by FMIL why so late.... either way also stressed...... arrghhh.......

end up seminar at the same ballrm as where im holding mi dinner. furthermore, im the only one there fr skl and dunno anyone else. was juz staring into space and thking of how to plan mi dinner hahaha...
had mi discussion with coord for the decor n favors later on in the evening. haha, same venue! decided on the red and white theme.
doubt i have much time to log in this wk and prob will be talking to miself at nite! hee....

my wedding is ovr.. glad dat everythg went well on d day. i got enough slp d previous night and so was full of energy on d day. day events went smoothly and dinner was really memorable.. it was amazing to see all ur close friends and relatives all gathered to offer you their blessings. i'm sure all of u will enjoy ur wedding, so relax. and do rem.. get enough sleep the night before your wedding day. this is an impt factor of being a beautiful bride.. cos then you eyes will be bright.

last min absence from dinner really depends on the reason, i thk. my attendance was like 98%.. me and hubby were surprise at the turnout. but i guess you have to kp pressing your guests and confirming and reconfiming d attendance wif your guests before d actual day. dat's wat i did and only 2 of my guests told me last min they cnt make it and both are due to sickness. but one of them had already given me her ang pao beforehand so dat was fine. at least, can cvr her cost.

me and hubby nw resting at home.. and doing packing for our honeymoon in 2 days time. very last min packing! but we are looking fwd to our holiday in the States.

Afcai, where and when are u gog for your honeymoon?

Take care all nov brides. and perhaps we can organise a meetup after all our weddind is over.. maybe in dec. then we can start discussing abt married life etc. =)
