i signed up for the park godl card recently. From what i know there will be $150 F&B voucher, 1 free night stay and free wine during your birthday month. In my case, i don't have any free table for every 25 table confirmed and i dont think they have such perks???

The park gold card is $288...

In fact, i was enticed to sign up for it... seeing 1 night stay and $150 F&B voucher.. however, i had signed up with william in the past, meaning the perks can't be extended as christopher mentioned its only for new sign ups...

Cherie: have you signed for your wedding banquet already?

last time, william told me some of the perks cannot be stacked up one. to me, it makes sense.. imagine some credit card gives u 1 free table, park gold card gives you another 1 free table.. during wedding promotion, gives you another 5% discount, cannot be right? i dun know...

Sheryl: nope, i did not get the park gold card.. i did not get the perks. I signed up for my package at a promotional price in Dec 2009, hence william mentioned that the perks in the park gold card will not be extended.... cannot have double promotions in the package.. something of that nature..

however, william was very helpful and really helped me alot in my solemnisation.

Wondering whether to sign up since they are not offering me the one free table. Btw there's a wedding show coming up on 2nd Oct, can go check out the themes available..

Wud also like to share wif all GPCH BTBs & GTBs my good experience with the following wedding vendors:

1) The Wedding Present (Gowns)
If ur looking for princessy and pouffy gowns, can check them out! Really happy with my WG and my EG.. Look our for Ling, she's a very promising designer and my EG was highly commended by my friends, family and Taiwan PW PG

2) Tze Yong - Wedding Moments (SG PW PG and AD PG)
I first saw his photos from my friend's wedding which was 4 years ago. Since then I knew I wud engage him for my AD. His won some awards from the wedding photojournalist guild and his prices are reasonable. He did my sg prewedding shots for me and I'm amazed by his dedication & professionalism, even willing to get down and dirty on the floor just to capture that amazing shot..
His contact is 96770542 and you can check out his webby  http://wedding-moments.smallfolio.com/

Hope it helps!

This sun wedding is dinner? I was thinking of popping by to take a look at the new deco etc after a wedding setup but what is a good time to go without disturbing the new couple n the staff there?

w3n: Christopher said that before 12pm or before 6pm. So I think there's a lunch and a dinner.

There's no wedding this Saturday.

I hope the multi-coloured lightings before the banquet will match the new colours of the ballroom as well as the chandliers.

But of course, the designers should have taken this into consideration la.. just hope that it turns fine. =)

Not sure if I can really make it down on time as I have something on that day though...

Hi Btbs!

I just had my food tasting at GPCH. I can only say that we were very very very x 100 satisfied with the food!! hehe...my family and relatives had tons of praises for the dishes, with only 1 comment on the shark fins (too little shark fins)...All the others were fantastic in terms of quality and quantity, and presentation! My god-dad who is a someone who has been a chef for 30+ years said that the dishes are of 'very fine quality'...not those coarse type..hehe...hear already me and my hubby very happy =)))

Hihi does anyone know how far in advance the food tasting, card selection and theme selection must be done?
My wedding's abt 3 mths plus away, but not quite sure on what is to be arranged with Chris.. Can anyone please share? Thank you!!

Oh the card selection can be 3 months before actual and food testing also. Theme selection most likely will be later around 1 month before actual ba. For me I just proof my card waiting for printing collection and food testing is one month b4 the AD. Theme also have not select. Maybe during the food testing than select.

the perks with the park gold card is very tempting..

my date is on a sunday, so there's free flow beer~

Hi BTB & GTB,

Here is my food tasting remark n pictures.
Mine is a Sunday package with 8-course dinner.

1521404.jpg

This is the form provided with a box on the right for you to fill up.

1521414.jpg

1st Dish: Grand Park Suckling Pig Combination (Marinated Octopus, Suckling Pig, Marinated Jellyfish, Roast Duck, Chicken Gold Coin)

Remark:
We all love the Octopus, very crunchy.
Jellyfish is abit plain in seasoning but salty which we left mostly untouch.
Chicken gold coin is soft. some of us likes it. Suckling Pig, love the skin, so crispy.
Roast Duck, just normal

1521415.jpg

2nd Dish: Braised Four Treasures Soup
Actually this taste abit like sharks fin soup, but I still doesn't know what are the four treasures. I think my guests will think it is veg soup and hence think is cheapo. And since we do not have any Abalone in our menu, we decided not to let them feel it is not worth their Ang Bao, so we change it back to Sharks fin soup.

1521420.jpg

3rd Dish: Stir-fried Scallops, Fresh Mushroom and Broccoli with XO Sauce
Great serving with big portion, big scallops and taste great. Broccoli cooks nicely, not too soft or hard.

1521421.jpg

4th Dish: Deep Fried Prawns in Wasabi Sauce Topped with Sesame Seeds
This was my favorite dish two years ago when I attended my sis-in-law’s wedding, now it still is. Although it is all cover with the moist wasabi sauce, it is still crispy. Best part is, I don’t have to peal any shell.

1521426.jpg

5th Dish: Steamed Red Garoupa in Hong Kong Style
Fish is fresh. Good thing is, it doesn’t have the farm fish or soil taste. But is a little over cooked, meat is slightly tough.

1521427.jpg

6th Dish: Roast Crispy Whole Chicken Topped with Fragrand Minced Garlic
Crispy at the outside, tender inside. Even the chest meat doesn’t taste dry. Good. At this point, we are already starting to feel full. Haha, can’t really finish. Love the topping which is Fried-Mushroom which has a slight garlic taste to it. We love the topping more than the chicken.

1521435.jpg

7th Dish: Lotus Leaf Rice with Conpoy
I know we shouldn’t have go for rice as it is way too filling but there are many Chinese who are like me, can’t survive without rice, or else I will feel incomplete. I was looking forward to having Egg York inside but no. Despite that, the rice is actually very well fragrant.

1521436.jpg

8th Dish: Chilled Fresh Honeydew with Sago in Coconut Milk
With all the warm food in my stomach and full, I’m looking forward to dessert to end it. Here come Honeydew sago. My favorite is actually Mango Sago, but thinks it is too common, so decided to try Honeydew. I would say, it is as really tasty, not those artificial fragrant kind, you won’t be disappointed. Haha. I would rather it to serve in a cup with a straw to drink it. Haha.

Overall, food tasting is really great, I'm please with its food/portion. *Happy Bride-to-be

Jiening, thanks for sharing the photos. By the way u and your hb march in together from one door or separate march-in from both doors? That time you mentioned your reach max capacity rite? Is it cramped for the couple to walk side-by-side along the aisle?
