Hi

I had my dinner there in Sep and its really great! We took the restaurant and was glad we did that cause the decor did wonders to add on to the ambience. The ballroom is a bit dull in comparision. But the ballroom hold more tables, and in the restaurant itself, some of the tables will be in the private rooms. Food was excellent, we received great reviews from our guests. Eric helped us but he was not ard on the day itself. But his staff were professional in assisting us.

I had booked CC (the restaurant) for my AD as well. Possible to share some pics of the deco cos the past few times I went down, it was either way too early (before the deco is up) or too late (after the wedding has started).

I think the whole suckling pig, duck and sea cucumber with abalone were on the top of the list. The sea cucumber is very thickly sliced. Wats your email add? My pictures are posted online. CC can fit 17 tables in the hall without blockage. However, the remaining tables will be in private rooms which is partially blocked. Hope this helps

my wedding just over.. held it in the ballroom... overall was ok juz that till the ending of the whole course, the waitress dun seem to be willingly to serve my guest red wine. simply told them no more red wine but in actual fact, i still have 16 bottles remaining.. guess they are rushing to clear up their stuff rather than serving...

food wise, thumb up for them.. esp the sharkfin soup.. every scoop was full of sharkfin, esp for the VIP tables.. my guests commented that the fish, scallop and their signature beancurd spinach were excellent.. so those who are having banquet there can rest assure..

chris, banquet manager, who helped and guide us thru the whole event is very attentive to our needs.. really thanks him for all the help..

I went to have a site survey at Antica. overall I think its quite ok, just that its really small.. it fits about 25 tables nicely, more than that it will be too packed. My bf commented that the restaurant looked nicer though with its higher ceiling. Overall, Antica exudes a cozy setting and atmosphere.. so if you are looking for a grand wedding, Antica is not the ideal venue.
Does anyone of having comments on the Bliss menu? Thinking of taking that... =)

I guess all the menus offered are pretty good. I chose the Valentine as my parents wanted roasted pig in the cold dish and I heard the tofu dish is really good

you can get the wedding package on www.tunglok.com The lunch packages starts from 578+ and dinner packages from 638+ if I am not wrong. The + is for GST. They do not impose service charge and CESS. Hope this helps

from what i've heard, the food is great. jus that the decor will be quite plain lor. for the price they are offering i guess it's the best we can get.

The reviews on the food has so far been great. With regard to the deco, I guess its really the basics. One thing to note, if you take CC, as they are closed after lunch hours which is around 2pm, you can have the entire place to yourself, so you have like a good 3 hours to deco it if you want to. But for the ballroom, it might not be possible if they are functions which last till mid afternoon.

I guess other than $$, you would require manpower to help you with the deco also. Pardon me for being blunt, but if you are concerned about the deco, maybe you wanna look at other locations, I guess majority of CC BTBs placed higher emphasis on the quality of food.

I went to view the place. To be frank, I dont really like the rest. but my hub like it. The rest. is abit dull and some of the guest will be hidden inside the VIP room which I dont really like it. And they cant see the projector also. The march is a short one, maybe less than 2 mins.

As for the ballroom, I quite like it. It bright and my co-ordinator say that they will arrange the tables so that the ppl seating near the pillar would nt be block by it. The March in is a L-shaped, longer then the resturant. But the ceiling is abit low, that why it makes the room cozy feel. I agree that the ballroom deco is abit simple, but for those who wa a simple yet cosy ballroom... CC Antica ballroom can be consider.

As for the price @ Orchard area, I think it a great great deal...

Like you, I prefer the ballroom, nice and cozy.

the deposit is $2K + 7%GST which is the deferred payment scheme and $2k + GST to be paid 6 months before the wedding. option b is to place deposit of 4k + GST.

Yap I agree that we choose club chinois as we emphasis more on food quality. The ballroom is nice and cozy, nothing to elaborate to feel un-comfy..

Anyway, just to check, do you plan to get wine from them? Or buy your own? How is the quality of wine serve by the restaurant? Anyone can comment? Or can we get better wine with the same price outside?

The house wine is SANTA HELENA from Chile. It is priced specially at $25.00+ per bottle. It depends on whether you have corkage waiver for wine that you are bringing in.

For myself, I took up the free flow of beer and corkage waiver, so will just get wine from outside. I tink it could be as low as less than 15 bucks per bottle

On a separate note, I frequently see forum-mers here selling per bottle for less than 15 bucks.

I haven had my food tasting yet, apparently reviews have been great so far. I believe they offer complimentary parking for all, it works like they give you a stack of them, if you need extra, juz approach the banquet manager

I am thinking of holding my banquet in Antica ballroom, but I am very concerned about the crampness of the room.

i think its the ceiling tat make the ballroom looks cramp..it does not have high ceiling like other ballrooms.. me wanted the ballroom too, but in the end i choose the rest.

and just when i decided to expand and take the ballroom, the coordinator told me tat its taken

The ceiling height for the ballroom seems slightly taller or at least the deco makes it so... generally the restaurant gives u a very romantic and cosy feel. If you wanna haf some pics of the restaurant and ballroom can email me at [email protected]

Hi, I dropped by the ballroom to have a look. Just a question. Is the projector which is located on the stage a temporary kind? Cos it just seems to be placed there.
 
Oh, so that means that it is a movable type on the stage area. It kind of resembles those old school projector screens.

I wonder if the hotel has any intention to fix a permanent projector there. It will definitely make the ballroom look nicer.
