For the bridal suite , bingo i upgrade it from the normal executive room to a wedding suite. The flora stand is quite stand, they only allow u to chose the col for the stand and i have chose white and pink col.

ANYONE knows what's the colour theme at Club Chinois, the restaurant?? Am in the process of choosing my evening gown and don't wanna choose the same colour as their table cloth or what their waitresses are wearing...

tablecloth not that important IMO. they are using ivory but v close to white. another color to choose from is gold? and the carpet is brown. The waitress etc attire, i dont know. so i think the one color u must defintely avoid is BROWN. Cheers!

hello everyone! Just went thru the AD already. hehehee. anyway, i was slightly disappointed with Club Chinos. Why? I SPECIFICALLY said that the dish with the pork and brocoli is salty and actual day is EVEN WORSE. i asked guests for feedback, most are good, not bad. but there's comment that one or two dishes are too salty.

food portion is big too. few things i feel they shld be better= the noodles i've requested is no longer hot/warm. so the waiter actually bring it down to warm it up again. i still feel that its better to eat noodles than sandwiches. hehehe then after the banquet, they didnt give us any tea or offer DRINKS for us to eat with the dishes. really very lousy. no standard man.

Then one good news abt the suite. I'm those who always open mouth n ask qn hehehhe. so i manage to upgrade my suite room with the hotel. paid $20 more to get a bigger one, although its not the one i've posted at my website. its smaller but bigger than the one given. additional place to rest. and best part is when i request if i can check out later instead of 12pm, i was told that since we upgraded, we are given util 6pm to check out!!!!!!! give us coupon for free drinks/devils bar entry etc but we are too tired to go to those places. hehehee next day go to isetan scotts buy shoes (foot too pain from wearig new heels) and other household items. hehehe. v good

one thing to complain is that the room isnt too bright for makeup. so i asked my bro to bring over one of the standing lamp from the sofa area to the dressing table.called up n yet no one bother to bring in. tsktsk

another thing is safe box has a problem! and when the manager etc came to fix it, my HB saw a list of unit no. on their paper. hahaha. think they have plenty to fix

I guess this kind of food issue is very common in most hotels, regardless of how many stars that hotel has or famous their restaurants are. But good to hear that the general comment is that the food is good!

By the way, what's the name of the suite you were given, and which suite were you upgraded to? It sounds like a good deal for just extra $20!!

i m now in the midst of looking for my hotel venue next year..MAy 07.. i hv just called up Club Chinos and spoke to Eric (think his name is mentioned quite frequently in tis thread..wedding planner i suppose...) ANYWAY..i hv called him to email me the wedding packages and intend to meet him together with my hb for site recee.. he was kind enough to give me a few dates whereby there r wedding so tat i can see the actual ball room setup.. for tat i appreciate his effort..

however, most of the dates he gave was wkday and we hv to be there by 7pm which is rather impossible as we r working pple as well..so i suggested mtg nxt sat, 29 July & he requested us to be there not later by 2pm.. i was rather disturbed by the way he answer me as i told him tat our sat working hrs is till 1pm..sometimes hb hv to work slightly later...so can we meet at 2.30pm? Oh my gosh! u noe wat his answer is? i m sorry..i wont meet clients not later than 2pm and i dont hv the habit of stretching it over to even 2.30pm!!!! i tried to explain to him that we work on sat and only knock off at 1pm and u noe wat was his answer? OH! SAT ALSO MY WORKING DAY AND I M WORKING HALF DAY AS WELL!!!

oh pls!! is tat wat yr service attitude should be? its not as though i m meeting u at 6pm on a sat evening?!?!?

he reali left me with a bad impression! i hung up the phone...and nw dropping by this thread to hear comments abt this chap - Eric! how u ladies find him?

Eric still okay but i think they lack the professional standard in them. tsktsk. however i did manage to see him after like 7plus on wkday. think its 8plus. so maybe to him wkend is important. wkday still ok

When I told him the dish is VERY SALTY he told me impossible because he told the chef. I told him its really v salty and guests also give the same feedback for the dish. And i think they put sugar on some of the dishes also because during food tasting can taste some of the dishes weirdly sweet..... one of my guests who said the food not bad comment that some dishes like put too much sugar *faint*

i dont have any pics to share. too busy and no one took pics of the suites!!! gosh. whats the photographer doing ah? hmnnnnnnnnn

Anyway the usual/normal (think its junior) suite given is shown in my blog. the $20 top up room is bigger than the junior suite. same 1 toilet but a bigger space to put a round table and a side table with plenty walk ard space available.

i think i should write in to comment on their services and standards.

i ever wrote in to comments on their svs but the reply i got from the email is " Thxs for ur valuable feedbacks. And other issue i have complaint , he told me tt he will conduct some investigation and the result is since there are no complaints on tt day (my AD ), there's no evidence he can traced.

HI,
Basically, Club Chinois offer 2 types of venue, either in Club Chinois restaurant or Antica ballroom in Orchard parade hotel. I had took up Antica ballroom and was signed up with Club Chinois and not Orchard Parade Hotel.
orchard parade hotel dun handle any wedding planning , unlike most hotels do.
There is no theme unless some hotels offer, Jazz theme, Shanghao theme etc however there is a choice of colour of tabletop clothe to choose, think gold,red and green. Not to worry, club chinois decor is quite nice. I would say people whom take up CC is want a no-frill wedding. Most impt the food is nice and the banquet is affordable.

May i know how their wedding invitation cards look like? I hv not seen them b4 as when i booked CC in 05, Eric Tan told me they will be having new card designs and so no point showing us their current one.

Not sure by when they will send us samples of the wedding card for us to choose. Till today i still hv not seen them...my fren oredi received hers from her hotel 2 months back and our wedding is only 1 month difference.

And do u hv any pix tat can send to me to see their ballroom's deco & color?

firefire: i think the one he mentioned is a much bigger room. i have the pics in my blog. the one i have with a $20 top up has additional space. the bedroom look more spacious and the door can be closed but not locked to divide between the room & the resting area *with chair and tv. so its 2 tv in the room.

i think the basic one is just 1 tv. the one with $150 top up should be the one with additional toilet but no shower area. what i suggest is, dont go for any upgrade. check out whats available for u at the point of checking in. overall the $20 is well spend!

I only have 25 tables. still okay. 30 should be crap.
