hi ladies...

was wondering how much it would cost me if I'm only looking for a package that has a MTM WG, OTR EG(opt), MTM suit and makeup?

cos I'm so blur with all the packages available.

i think you can try Allure Charix for OTR gowns i think they also have really nice gowns MTM suit i think you can get it from any tailor cheap and good
as for makeup i not very sure who are really good think only those boutique BS will offer items 'a la carte'

my gowns are also OTR, maybe go down for my first appointment then see how is the coordinator... the photographer i am also choosing vincent, for the MUA i chose Angela cos my friend also engaged her..

welcome. Marnie is right. QIngming is on 5th April next year. Thank you for recommending BS in JB. However, we decided to sign up JB Venus liao, just waiting to go in and sign the packages. My FH and I had decided to push our date to 22 Apr 06. Because 15th Apr is just a day after good friday, not suitable for us to get married in church lor.

personally i think a la carte will allow you more freedom to choose lor besides you already not getting quite a bit of things . to the BS, they cannot earn then so they prob wun charge you much cheaper you also dun need photo right? then might as well do a la carte coz normally signing up with a BS saves the trouble of sourcing for photography
I also might go down to allure to check out the EG coz i thinking of getting 2 EGs instead of just one. my BS told me i might have to top up around another 500, so maybe go allure and see see first

Glad to hear u find a BS liao... Actually, the geomancer said that 15th april is the best day for us to get married but I checked the internet and somehow it clashes with a few of our zodiac signs, so we chose another day which he selected for us too. We chosse 29th april also because it falls on a sat and the following monday is a public holiday.So we huess attendance won't be that bad.. 29th april is a week after ur wedding only ...ehhehe so have u bk ur venue yet? I am looking for a solemniser now cos we intend to solemnise our wedding during the dinner.

Me have oledi booked with Rasa Sentosa.I know Im very kiasu.. haha.. I booked during their fair last mth... Wanna enjoy their perks and discount during the fair..

Actually me tot of other places initially like carlton, rendezvous and le meridien.. Before I book Rasa, I really do lot of researches.. read all the messages posted in this forum, hope to find the cheapest and yet best hotel for my banquet. But realise that no where is perfect, no matter how good the repuation of the hotel is, definitely there will be ppl complaining. So end up choosing Rasa. Really likes that place, it's bit expensive, but thinking if I opt for somewhere cheaper, the ang pow $ I received might be lower too.. aiya.. dun tink will makes big difference. Most impt is choose wat you like since it's once in a lifetime(but of coz somewhere really affordable)

So envious of you.. got your own flat le... but muz be very stress initially.. got to calculate all your sums, and make sure everymth, need to set aside certain amt for paying the bills, loan.. you buy your hse so early. aren't you worried that it's harder to save after you get a flat? U dun live there that often but u gotta pay your monthly bills lei..

Just wondering if any of you gals are with Silhouette? Their package is kinda pricey, but i am totally impressed with their service and gowns. i am kinda lost, who to go with amor meus or silhouette...
 
so gd that u can get the venue u like...me and hubby like oriental very much... but think we arent going to hold our banquet there unless we strike toto or big sweep suddenly hehe :P

u solemnisation going to be at rasa as well? outdoor for ur banquet?

as for the bills can okie ... just give and take...
 
wow.. ur taste is realli expensive... somemore the place just had their reno.. now their price is almost comparable to 6stars hotel in singapore..then seems like you gotta find your sec ideal place le...unless you are confident that your ang pow can cover much

Me thinkin of just havin a simple solmnisation at MOM, not inviting any friends... wondering if it's too pathetic... but it's on a weekday, so very hard to ask ppl to come along..initially tot of havin solemnisation on the AD itself.. but due to housing prob, so muz have it earlier.

Min telling me which is ur bridal studio? how much you pay for it? and wat's inside
 
Hello, ladies! Is it too late for me to join in? I am also getting married next 08 apr. Think Apr is a Hot month, my hotel coordinator is already pressing us for the deposit, saying that there is a number of pple eyeing on that day. Strange, i thought pple would avoid apr since its qing ming. Has anyone started preparations yet? I.e. selected venues? Photographys? -
 
my rom was also on a weekday ... i didnt invite many frds coz dont want them to take leave... just those very close one to join me for dinner after their work... not pathetic lah coz got no. of guests constraints too. tell your frds, they will understand.

my bs is long story ... hahha .. initially i signed up with everbliss then heard so many neg comments so in the end i sogned up with WL. my package is $3788..

Yeah, I have selected both my venues, bridal shop and videographer. So now, I need to find a solemniser. So where will u be holding ur wedding and which BS did u go to? It seems alot of peole getting married next year especially March-April. In fact the geomancer we went to told us all the weekends in april is suitable for us...

Understand that you held yr ROM at Furama, may I know is City Centre or Riverfront? Now shortlisting the hotels for the banquet. I would like to know how's the service &amp; the food.

Went to holiday inn yesterday, quite disappointed with the manageress service. very inflexible. dunno how to sell. especially when I told her if I can chg the breakfast to lunch..cos we would be waking up late..she kept insisting their breakfast ends very late at 10:30am. Very late already. Then I told her we would be getting up at ard 11:30 or 12noon. She opens her mouth wide for quite sometime before shutting it. Then she said cannot change to lunch as its in the pkg.
She suggest I can have it deliver to my rm. I havent even wake up yet. Even if we ans the dr, I would just leave it on the table and becomes cold. The only way is I top up for the lunch lor.

I remember seeing one setup for Fullerton. They made a ramp/platform that stretched from the entrance all the way to the stage. You can try asking the coorodinators about it. Tawt it was a good alternative to walking down the stairs

just came back from TWP show today. they actually offer the ROM/ tea dress with some of their packages. I think you have to go down and take a look coz there are many alternative pacakges to choose from. Photography you can choose from several eg Andrew CHoi, Chris Ling, Imagegarden, Utopia etc
if you sign up the MTM pacakge, you get to keep the EG and tea dress
for MUA you can choose i think from a few namely Kenneth , Leon this i also not very sure yet coz i havent got to that point of discussion yet

for andrew choi the pics are 20 pages never state size, for chris ling is 20 8R abit selective in their giving of pics and all that
if you looking for solely ROM package, maybe you can consider EMpire (inside TWP) they specialise in ROM and bridesmaids package
Jordan's the PIC and Patrick's the designer. They are simply the best pair to work with .Even my FH adores them! they are really nice, can ask them anything!

Went for TWP Miracles Show today at the Regent! Ten times better than the Pan pac show and they have so many themes to choose from unfortunately they couldnt fit our table number so we din consider them. But you gals can consider!!
the ballroom's quite nice and the themes are fabulous. Most importantly for weekday their pacakge only 758nett

I will be planning to book my venue by next month... it will be held at the Bliss Garden restaurant at the Expo..

the restaurant is so much better than most hotel ballrooms that i've seen and i'm rather impress with the place.. think it's going to be quite hot once more people know about it so booking by next month..

Welcome. From what I know, Apr should be quite quiet. However, next year, the hungry month will last for 2 months. Thus, some couples may decide to bring their wedding forward.

We are booking our venue with Conrad, for high tea reception. Yeah, talk about the hungry ghost mth! I had a hard time convincing my future-in-laws on settling the date. I got that date cos tats the earliest availble my church could offer.
Wah Jean, u seem to have settled almost everything!! You are making me anxious. Except for the venue, i have done nothing! :P I have not visited any BS-though have shorlisted some. There's so much to do!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

no worries, you din really miss much coz wedding present believe in not lowering their prices Jordan says its unfair to other brides who have signed up. But no worries gal, you have until Oct coz they reviewing pricing only in Oct
Pacakge price with ROM and photography 4988 but they got occasional promotion with the vairous photographers , you gotta check with them

I booked with Pan Pacific, eh then I very kiasu leh hahah..but I think you have to start sourcing for your venue, as I know that this year,most ppl think that its not a good year to get married, then 2006 will be quite full.
 
Hi Lilac, the wedding show is on 30th April, on Sunday. From 1.30 to 4.30pm. I've heard good reviews abt the food as its the famous Li Bai restaurant.
But I guess I don't want to go and take a look anymore, else wait I *heart itchy*

hi! i'm also a may 2006 bride! currently scouting around for banquet venues, but all the prices are increasing for 2006 weddings! have shortlisted a few but still rather indecisive about making final decision.

went for the frederick lee show at RH on sunday. the show was v good n the weddin coordinator told me tt TH onli have a weddin fair once every 2 yrs. They started out with drinks at the reception area followed by a drama by Annabelle Francis n another guy (forgot name)..show was hosted by Beatrice Chia and followed by fashion show by frederick lee...lucky draw then followed by hi-tea..feel tt the show was way better than pan pac..more generous with the Hi-tea (buffet style) and champagne...fiance like RH ballroom v much but too bad they can onli hold 25 tables...so did not book..anyone else went? missed out on TWP show! how was it??

Hazel > My ROM will be the one in Furama Riverfront because both of us kinda of like the relax ambience and waterfall. Moreover they are very flexible too... can use the lounge up to 4 hours. Did try the buffet at the cafe... not bad.
