Hi Tarotaro, thanx for the link! I called in and I wd be going for the wedding show (oops sorry Shang!!)
I am looking between 30-35 tables though so I do have to watch my guestlist as Four Seasons maximum cap. is for 32 tables, but I love the high ceiling and pillarless ballroom. Plus they just changed the carpet too! Coolness... And Harry Winston's jewellry is just awesome, definitely need to go check it out!!
How abt yourself? Have you booked your dinner already??

I had mine at Shang in Feb this year. Totally enjoyed the wedding. Mel was our coordinator and she is really fabulous. Maybe you can take a look at Shang's Tower Ballroom and do a comparison. Enjoy the wedding planning and preparation

Hihi,

Need some advice here for guys and gals who have experienced the service for a Shang wedding. I tried contacting my Wedding Coordinator from the hotel through email and did not get a response for over a week and am still waiting.

Should i panic or is this the normal standards?

Does anyone pay $ for the song u used on ur montage.The copyright for the song.Need to pay meh?This is the first time I heard of this rule.
But Shang don't provide background music,we provide ourselves.

go edit the song abit, of course every song got copyright, it's common but can close one eye lar as long as dun get caught. lol. I edited jason mraz's song for my friend. but it's not enough if they wanna catch still possible. anyway, it's not a big issue lar, it just the person who made the montage for u scared of being caught coz the fine is huge.

This is my very first post in SGBrides. =D

My wife and I had our solemnisation @ Shangri-La's Garden Terrace on Christmas, 25 Dec. =)

The place is super ideal for us as it is an air-conditioned enclosure with an outdoor feel. If you are looking for an outdoor venue, yet concerned about the weather, this is the place to go for. We had visited 6 to 7 other venues before choosing this one. It's really a very nice place to hold your solemnisation. (",)

The food, especially their pastries, is nice too.

Our coordinator is Veronica Ng, Event Manager. U can trust her to ensure that things will go smoothly as planned. She is very patient and accomodating to our requests. =)

I brought in 32 russ bears to decorate the place and Veronica appeared a little surprise when I mentioned it during one of the meet-ups. On that day, she actually helped me with the placement of the bears.

The 1-night stay at their Tower Wing's Horizon Club Premier Room was enjoyable. =)

Everything, from our arrival to checking-out, was fantastic. Shangri-La is truly a six-star hotel. =D

We are really really pleased to have chosen Shangri-La for our solemnisation. It has made this important occasion of ours a very memorable one! =D
