My coordinator is not willing to give us the helpers room. The coordinator i met at Fullerton seems so much nicer! Was so tempted to have my wed there since we can click better with their coordinator but i just dont really fancy their ballroom shape. Most probably 40 tables +. Still not finalized on the numbers yet. How about yourself?

I just went for site inspection at Shang and is really considering to have my lunch banquet there.
Any btbs having a lunch banquet instead of dinner in Shang instead? If so, are you able to let me know what are the extra perks we can negotiate like extra night in the room etc?

I would be having my lunch banquet at Shang. They gave us only 1 extra night + a day stay room for helpers. They also had a function room available for tea ceremony with the traditional tea set plus tea from 10-12pm.
My coordinator is Nellie and I find her very good.
Does anyone had used the grand piano before or hired a band in before?
My band requested for a mixer but Shang said they did not have one. And also for the piano, need to pay tuning fee of about 140++.
Any suggestions anyone? Thanks.

I went for my food tasting , meeting the florist already .. next is the Big day coming .. so so excited .. anyway for those contemplating to use shang or nt .... PLS DO! haha ... i must say ... the service render by Stephanie is superb ... very thoughful , very sweet ... she would stand in your shoes to think for you .. excellent service...
Previously we sign with veronica .. she is nice ... then we got serena short while ..so next is stephanie ... so you can imagine how sianz to max when we hear gonna change coordinator again .. but after meeting up with her ... seriously ... i am super happy shang bride ...
In fact , i booked Swissotel Stamford with ex fiance ( long story ) , also went to different hotel , arranged banquet for many friends ( being a old bride) , yet Stephanie's service is really the best i must say ...
Florist wise , i choose Sing Soon lee... met up with gracelyn .. she is also very sweet .. so Ladies ... SHang is the right choice !!!!

Yay a.. She seems nice ... Just not sure if hubby willing to spend all extra $ into the flowers .. We used our own favors and invites so gt spare cash to use either in food , florist or drinks .. But really nt too sure if dumping so much $ into flowers is gd . From e look of grace, I am a bit worried tat hubby will nt approve the full fund allocated as she dun seems to be able to give any extra items cos hubby is like those who see tat u v nice then will be ok with anything u suggest but if he find she stingy , everything he also no wan kind .. But still ... Haven finalize the details wif her .. Just hope tat everything goes well....

To all those BTB , I had my Ad on 11th Sept , i must say , the coordinatiobn and service rendered was excwellent. Especially the coordinator stephanie , she is the best i ever met .. I was originally under vernoica , but really , stephanie is super nice . She made sure that every concern i have is also her concern .She even offeered to help me set up and refill the candy bar that i had ... Even my hubby was impress and told me that her service is superb . For thjose that tot shang is ex becos of the place , no , its worth every penny of what it deserved becos of the service from the waitress to the coordinator ... triple thumbs up !!

5. Conversion of day use to night stay for entourage room.
Please advise if my requests are reasonable or too much.

I have shortlisted Shangrila for my banquet in Oct 2013.
Will be going to do a site recce sometime next week! I see that some brides prevoiusly have complained that the floral decorations provided are basic. How basic is basic? Any pics to share?

Went for a wedding dinner at Shang last mth (Feb'12)....actually don't find the food that good....the shark's fin have a weird taste and most pple at my table din finish the food....and the food thereafter was eaten like 1/4....quite disappointing...

I see, I'd suggest that she emails them straight at [email protected] to ask if the pricing after March 31 2013 is out cos I know that as at late March / early April it wasnt out yet and the person in charge told me it may be in mid april but I have not recevied anything..Not that it really matters now cos I booked my banquet at another hotel le...Won't bother with waiting for them

Just wanna ask what was the payment policy for Shang? Like how much upon booking and thereafter when is the rest of the payment made?
I remember is pay 10k first. Then settle balance after r dinner. Not sure did they change e policy.
Anyway, during 2013, 1 table is only $1298++ , duno now how much le.. Haha

Just got informed by Shang's coordinator. Their price for 2015 is $1588++ and 2016 is $1688++ for Sat dinner.
Have to pay 30% upon booking. For 1588++ min 40 tables, 30% will be approx. 20k!
Pay another 30% 6 months before the actual day
and another 30% 3 months before actual day.
Rest of the 10% and any extras after the event.
Initially we were pretty fixed on Shang already but after hearing the payment policy and they were pretty strict on this, we decided to have a look at other alternatives.

Wow! Thats crazy.. That time i was choosing between intercontinental and shang. In e end i got shang cuz better parking facilities.
But the service was rly rly good. The ball room is rly nice.

Hi I'm holding my wedding in Pavilion. As both my partner and I are living overseas, we made the reservations without actually viewing the place. But based on the reviews and pictures, the place looks nice and we're really excited. 
The floral deco seems to be really basic. My sister does wedding decoration, so I'm wondering if Shangri-la will allow my sis to the deco? Is it a must to use their recommended florists? Is it possible to have shang's florist do the deco for the dinner reception area and my sis to do the deco for the outdoor rom area?

My bestie just got married at shang in May 2015.
Ms Ursula Rose Goh is her wedding event manager.
My bestie almost sign up shang instantly if she don't need to get green light from her in law. She went Down next day & of cos signed, her in law just loved the venue.
From the day she signed the package, Ursula had been keen & responsive on every updates and details. I was particularly impressed with her when she talk about Shangri-la in pride, I just love the way she always quoted this "Dont worry, this is Shangri-la". Instantly calm everyone. She really have the ability to convince us that Shangri-la is our best choice.
And this I must mention, On my bestie AD, she not only make sure that ballroom is all set up, she also helped us to ensure our check in to rooms are smooth. she keep visit to see everything if it in order, I really feel so touch to see her moving ard for us even her leg was so swollen.
I would definitely recommend Shang to everyone. We had been shopping venue since she is getting marry, be it St Regis, w hotel, or ritz carlton, none leave such impression except shangri-la.
AD duty banquet manager oso extend his professionalism, i love his his clear, straight forward briefing and he handled all the situations excellently. He is almost everywhere near to the couple as he promised. I like the way he ease everyone anxious hahaha!
Overall it is such a wonderful experience with Shangri-la wedding team. Not to mention delicious food with individual serving, instagram worth dessert bar & luxury bridal suite hehehe!
