I understand that you have to pay another 25% 2 months before the wedding. Is this true?

I'll be holding my dinner there too.

We have negotiated for canapes before the commencement of dinner, food savouring (I did not have that as part of my package), upgrading of my room.

We are currently negotiating for free flow or apple/orange juices and additional and changes of dishes in our menu (these are not free).

Hmmm...I'm not too sure about that. I will be meeting Melanie on Thursday. I will ask her about that and I will get back to you about it.
 
oh yours is melanie. I emailed them and mine is under Nelly.

I have not met up with them to negotiate on the freebies yet.

BTW which menu you took?
 
Just signed up with Shangri-la hotel for our soleminsation + AD last Sat with them.My co-ordinator is Melanie.She is a super nice & friendly co-ordinator.We like her very much.
We are taking their private collection at Azealea room.

Oh they allow you to book so early ah.Coz some hotels only allow you to book one year in advance.
Mine will be 23 January 2010.

Ya i met her once. A pretty nice person and will explain the package to you. But i think in terms of negotiation, Melaine gives a better package

ya, I heard from my friend who wanted to hold their wedding at Shangri la but due to Nellie replied them by taking a long time plus she seems not very initiative on the package negotiation, so in the end they rather take fullerton.

I am deciding between Shang & FS(4seasons).

As i have only 25 tables. I would need to take either wedding lunch @ Shang or Wedding Dinner @ FS.

Has anyone holds wedding lunch @ Shang?
How was it? Can someone please kindly share your experience with me?

Private Collection $138.00++ or $168.00++ per person

Weekday $1008.00++ per table of 10 guests

Weekend $1138.00++

Gold $1488.00++

Platinum $1888.00++

Simpleme> the food at Shang wedding banquet is decent. Service is fine as well. At least that was how I felt when I attended the wedding banquet at Shang

I haven't met other coordinators at Shang so there's no basis for comparison with other coordinators.

All i was told/understand is that earlier on, Nellie was busy with the weddings (since it near year-end) and clearing the work on hand before she goes on maternity leave.
As for the rest I'm not too sure liao cos I'll only liaise with her again mid next year.

maushroom: havent signed their contract yet. But i asked who would be assigned to be my WC and Jen told me Nellie, but on maternity leave.

I've met her a few times.

I would say whatever I have requested for, is the usual "standard" requests, e.g. increase in parking & invitations, (free flow beer not incl. cos i was told not their hotel policy, i think it was stated in some of the earlier posts in this thread so I didn't try to pursue any further on this) and she did it for me.

I suppose they are prepared to give u all these since it's quite "standard" other hotels would accommodate to when requested upon.

As for other requests, like anniversary stay, I haven't tried it yet. My sister is encouraging me to ask for this. Let me know if you managed to get it yea~ (via PM also can, if u are more comfortable that way).
