Hi master tong,can I check with you when is guo da LI and an chuang being done before the actual wedding date?how to go abt choosing an auspicious date for guo da LI and an chuang?an chuang done already means nobody can sit on the bed including the wedding couple themselves am I correct?

the 2012 tong shu is not out yet, hence i can't advise you on the general tong shu good dates till it is out in July/Aug period. Right now, the only way to select 2012 dates will be using bazi to select.
 
Hi master tong, can I check wif u: if both of us are born in the year of goat, would having a baby in e year of rabbit or dragon be better for us?

That is just our chinese superstition, not Feng Shui etc. Hence there is really no right or wrong answer as there is no way to measure a superstition

What do you mean parents clashes with your? I don't get what you mean. U mean to check if both your bazi and parents clashes OR parents bazi clash to the date selected?

If former, have to use the whole bazi to check (birthday and time of birth). If latter, 29/3 clash to Ox, none of them

However you are born in Rooster yr, hence 2011 Rabbit yr is a bad yr for you to hold wedding in as Rabbit and Rooster clashes.

It is normally done 2 wks to 1 mth before the wedding.

Once the new bed reach your home, you cannot sleep on it already. after an chuang, you cannot even touch the bed (no one can touch) till wedding day

- 27th Dec 2011

Only 1 date within that period.

** Note that these are general good dates only. It can be turn out to be inauspicious if the dates and both ur bazi are not compatible

As much as i want to help you in the area of general good dates for year 2012, the Tong Shu for 2012 is not out yet, so i will not know or be able to select general Tong Shu auspicious date for wedding for 2012 yet. Right now, the only way and also the right and accurate way of doing it will be using Bazi to select dates. FYI, a date reflected auspicious in the Tong Shu may still be bad for both of you if the date chosen is not compatible wtih both your Bazi.

As for Bazi wedding dates selection, it is part of my consultation service to my clients, hence i can't provide it here free in the forum or it will be unfair to my clients who paid for my service. Hope you understand.

If you have any particular date in mind, just post it here. I can advise you if it is a bad day as there are some days that are definitely bad and cannot be used for marriage; and some days that will clash to either of you or your parents, so cannot be used as well.

- 08/11, 09/11, 12/11, 20/11, 24/11, 02/12, 06/12, 15/12, 19/12, 07/01, 19/01

You mentioned that Yr2012 is not a good yr for Dog to get married. Is there other alternative as in see couple bazi or totally cant get married in Yr2012 as im born in d yr of dog?

Also, my frenz who is born in rooster yr went to count dates with other master whom i accompanied her, i did not recall him telling my frenz cannot get married this yr and she wil b holding her dinner in dec this yr. The master also used the couple bazi to count. So issit every master gt their own ways of counting?

I don't know how that master counts, hence i can't comment anything on him. But if you open the tong shu for 2012 next time, every single day in the tong shu will be listed as inauspicious for Dragon. For your friend, if you get this year's tong shu, every date will be listed as inauspicious for Rooster. If use Bazi to calculate, it is the same!

Hence it will be best to avoid that year for wedding. If really no choice, then we can only choose the best dates/months for wedding within that not so good yr. This is the best we can do. The dates will have to use bazi to select, not the tong shu.

Yes you can. But as i said, this is not a recommend solution. Best is still to avoid that yr as it is a bad year for wedding. If really no choice then choose a good date for wedding within the bad year (again..not recommended unless really no choice left...)

Hi Master Tong,

My bf and I are getting married this 22 Oct. I was advise to step out of the hse after 9am. However, my dad who is a taoist advised us that we should step out of the hse before 7am. According to him there are lesser "dirty" stuff on the road. And less likely to meet funerals (if not lucky).

Should I head his advice? Both of us are born in the year of dog.

Everyone, every family believes in these things differently. So best to follow whatever he believes in to make him happy!

Under normal circumstances, 7am or 9am is both ok, so long as that is a calculated auspicious hr,. If step out at 7am on an inauspicious hr, it is worse!

And no such thing as dirty things on the road. Only teochews believe in stepping out early before daybreak so that the bridal car/couple won't meet any funeral/casket car along the way, which is deemed to be inauspicious. Hokkien and Cantonese are ok. But again,it really depends on what your parents believes in, as this is not feng shui, but more of chinese beliefs and culture.

hi master tong,

i have a burning question... i know that brides aren't supposed to wear the veil twice. But I am having my church wedding on 29th oct and actual day wedding on 4th nov this year. Is it ok not to cover the veil on the actual day? Or is it better to choose 2 different wedding gowns with their own veils?

Reading through the entries here, you mentioned that it is not advisable for dogs to get married in 2012. May I know how bad it would be for the couple or the dog if he/she were to get married in 2012?

Yes chinese believe there will be a clash of luck, hence unlucky to hold wedding during that period. But also a more logical answer to me will be during CNY, if your relatives all meet up at your wedding, they not only need to give you ang baos, still have to give all the relatives andn children!!!

Normally you will wear on the acutal day during the fetch the bride session for the groom to unveil the veil. This is to represent the bride's willingness to enter into this marriage and marry the right man.

These 3 dates 30/9/12, 22/12/12, 29/12/12 don't clash to anyone.

However,the tong shu will only be out in July/Aug period to check if this will be a general good date or not.

For now, the only way and right way to calculate will be based on the bazi.

How bad really depends on individual's bazi. If a couples marriage have lots of arguments or marriage problems, then getting married on a bad date will aggravate these and have negative repercussions.

If a couple's bazi marriage is very good, then sometimes at most is some small arguments etc, not detrimental to marriage. However, if the selected date is bad, the wedding day itself may also have hiccups.

My bf and I are planning to get married. Initially we planned to get married this year end. But both of us are born in the Rooster Year, and we heard from alot of people that 2011 Rabbit Year is not a good year for us to get married. Is that true?

In addition, we wanted to consult a master to make sure, so far have only spoken to him on the phone and he told us that:

1) this year Roosters can still get married.
2) he will only use the zodiac signs to calculate the wedding dates and not ba zi because he says calculation by ba zi is Duo Ci Yi Ju. (sorry not sure how to translate in english)
2) he mention something abt can only calculate at most until dates of Jan 2012 next year.

Is what he mention true? I am really at a loss here..

Can i check with you, if my (hua ren) age 25, and my partner (hua ren) age 29 izzit not good to married on that year?

Cause according to my mum, she heard from my grandmum that if ladies (hua ren) age of 25 married is not good for the bride's family, and guy (hua ren) age 29 also not so good, izzit true?

And if my zodiac is Dragon and my partner zodiac is rat, will it be good to married on 2012?
