Hi David,

would like to check with you, if the FTB timing is stated as 0900 - 1059, does that means the groom has to step in bride's hse to reach back groom's house within the time fame?

what about tea ceremoney at groom's place? does it have to be done within this timing also?
 


My husband is monkey (1980) and I'm a rat (1972), ROM on 10 Nov 2010 no wedding ceremony. Was that a good date? How do we match?

Did your master gave you a range of timings? I not sure what he told you, but if he gave you eg 7am-9am for fetch the bride, it means the groom have to reach bride's home about 0630hrs, play games and gatecrashing session, and step into bride's home at 0700hrs (or after). Groom will fetch the bride to his home and complete tea ceremony with his parents by 0859hrs. After which, going back to your new home or to bride's parents home for tea ceremony is NOT within the auspicious timing. No timing is required for this.

To be frank, if he says using Bazi to calcuate wedding dates is Duo Ci Yi Qu, he is ignorant and not a real master. Sorry to say that, but if you do some research, you will know that all authentic date selections involved the use of Bazi. Using just zodiac signs is really as good as none and you can DIY by buying a tong shu from Popular Bookstore and it cost only $5. Why the need to see him? If he don't know how to calculate dates beyond Jan 2012, that means he use a tong shu to do it...coz the tong shu wont be out till July/Aug this year..and by then, most 2012 weekends dates for most hotels will be gone.

I don't want to go too far to explain more here, but you should get my answer (and i don't want to know who he is either

For 2012, it clashes only Dog, hence if you are not born Dog yr, it is ok. to check the best year to do so will have to use Bazi to tell

To see if that is a good date or not, will have to see both your bazi and parents zodiac signs. But since it is already over, i suggest not to find out as you will only get paranoid and nothing can be changed

By right she cannot attend.

The person that goes to get the bad luck. Meaning for eg, if you and your best friend getting married within 3 mths of each other wedding, if you go to her wedding, you get the bad luck, not her. If she comes to yours, she get the bad luck, not you. Hence so long as you don't go, you are safe. But you cannot force/control everyone not to come to yours and sometimes you may not even know (if they don't tell you and don't believe)

That is a very bad date and most hotels will have this date available. This is a "Po Ri".

That day clashes to ox, hence cannot be used.

The tong shu is not out yet, hence i can't advise you on general good dates for 2012 yet till it is out. The only way to do it now is using Bazi to calculate the dates

this is a general tong shu good date and don't clash to any of you (clash Ox)

** Note that this is a general tong shu good date only. A good date in the tong shu can still become inauspicious if the date and your bazi are not compatible. Tong shu is for mass consumption only.

Since both of u are born Dog yr, 2012 is not a good yr for marriage, no matter which date you choose. Best to do it 2011 or 2013 if possible.

I have a question regarding wedding date calculated by ba zi. Since tong shu is not out yet for 2012, what if a person has chosen a date (according to ba zi) before tong shu is out and that date turns out to be a general inauspicious date for marriage in tong shu? Will it then be an unsuitable date to get married?

Hi there,

I heard that it is considered inauspicious to get married within 100 days of a death in a family as it will cause harm to the bridegroom. Some say that will die young before 50 yrs old. Is it true? If yes, does this refer to ROM or chinese customary wedding? Thanks alot.

3. alot of my cousins (all maternal side) and my own sis getting married one after another. my sister's wedding is 15th oct 2011, my cousin's wedding is 26th november 2011, another cousin's wedding is 2nd december. and mine is 2nd january 2012. - my question is: i. is it bad luck/inauspicious for my sister and i to be married on those 2 respective dates, which are within <3months of each other? ii. is it bad luck for me to attend my cousins' and my sister's wedding if my wedding date is to be on 2nd jan 2012?
4. if it is not true that auspicious dates for 2012 can be calculated via ba zhi beyond CNY 2012, can i engage your services?

Bazi date selections override the tong shu dates. Tong Shu is in general only. If you do some research, tong shu A, B, C from country X, Y, Z all tell you different things.

Once the date is selected useable using Bazi, totally ignore the tong shu. Even if it is bad for wedding ,still can be used. Think of it...even on so call bad days, there are people in this world earning millions that day right? Coz everyday will be favourable to someone. Tong Shu assumes if a day is bad, everyone is bad! This is not logical

This is a superstition and it is more of a respect for the deceased.

Different people different dialects have different beliefs. Some believe (and most common belief) is to do it within 100 days or 1 (or 3) years later. BUT yes, some believe cannot be done within 100 days..so there is really no right or wrong answer..this is just a "belief". So whichever your family believe in, just follow it

That date clash to snake, hence none of you. But to check if it is a general good date or not will have to wait till tong shu is out in July/Aug period.

Normally siblings cannot be married within the same yr. If really no choice, it must be at least 3 mths apart. For your case, it is more than 3 mths apart, so it is ok.

Absolutely not true. I've already done over 400++ couples for 2012 dates...as you might have read from this forum, tong shu is only general date selection. Bazi is for individual only. It's like MTM vs Off The Rack gown

Coz whoever that counts for you only know how to use the tong shu to calculate dates! by the time tong shu is out, most popular weekend dates will be gone..you can do the maths

Yes, sibling's wedding must be at least 3 mths apart. And you cannot attend others wedding at least 3 mths (some parents believe 4 mths) before AND after your own wedding.

2 Dec 2011 clashes to Rooster (which is none of you) and is a general good date, hence can be used if u looking at general good dates.

9 Dec 2011 clashes to Dragon, hence cannot be used.
