Hi Annie

8th Oct 2011 is not a general good date for wedding. However, if that date is compatible with both your bazi, you still can use that day.

For your ROM, that day is not a general good date for ROM as well.

Hope this helps

Hi simplelife,

Both these 2 dates are not general tong shu good dates for wedding. Most of the weekends dates (fri-sun) for most hotels are already full. Not easy to find one now, except weekdays or weekends lunch

Hi Leo,

Within 3 months (or 4 months as some dialect/parents believe in 4 mths) before AND after your wedding, you cannot attend other's ROM or Wedding, funeral and child birth/baby shower. Hence both of you cannot attend each others' wedding.

Hi Master Tong,

I read that when one gets married, you cant attend ROM/Wedding/baby shower/funeral for 3 months before and after the wedding. I would like to know if you attend, is it bad for yourself or it will affect the other person getting married/the newborn child etc. Thanks!

Hi Gina,

Here are some general tong shu good dates:

- 30/10, 12/11, 09/12

Only 3 dates available as the rest clashes to your/your parents.

**Note that these are general dates only. Both your bazi are not taken into consideration yet as the general date can still be considered inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible

Hi alyssa_c

It will be bad for the person that goes to the wedding/funeral/baby shower. That is, if you and your best friend are getting married, and if you go to her wedding, you will get the bad luck, not her. And vice versa. Hence so long as you don't go, you are fine. If others don't believe want to come to yours, let them be and it affects them, not you.

Hope this helps

Hi Lala,

The Guo Da Li timing will be 9am-11am. An Chuang can be the same timing if you can make it, else the next good timing is pretty late at 5pm-7pm.

20th Nov 2011 is a general good date and don't clash any of you (clash Rooster).

**Note that these are general dates only. Both your bazi are not taken into consideration yet as the general date can still be considered inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible

Bride: 04.12.1980 (Monkey)

Groom's Father: Dog (1946)
Groom's Mother: Rat (1948)

Hi joedeene,

If Fetch the bride is from 7am-9am, it means the groom will have to step into the bride's house at 7am (or after), fetch her back to his home and complete tea ceremony to his parents by 9am. After which, going back to new home or to bride's home for tea ceremony is "free and easy", no timing required.

Hope this helps

Hi Annie,

April is Qing Ming, hence cannot be used

For March, you can use:

- 05/03, 13/03

Only these 2 dates. Rest clashes, hence cannot be used.

17th Nov is not an ideal date meant for wedding purpose. I don't recommend using this day. 24th Nov will be better if you looking at thur.

**Note that these are general dates only. Both your bazi are not taken into consideration yet as the general date can still be considered inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible

Hi Master Tong,

You mentioned that Sept 2011 is a bad month for wedding. That month clash with the yr, in Chinese, we call the Sui Po.
What does Sui Po means?

Do you have any good dates for Aug?
Thanks x

Hi Master Tong,

It's me again. We cant make it for the dates you have given me earlier on due to his grandma's funeral..

We are planning for a simple ROM reception next year as HDB needs our ROM cert for our new house.

Is it ok for us to have tea ceremony if we have to follow the rules of 3 yrs not having customary wedding? Then after 3 yrs then we have a simple praying session to the ancestors.

Could you advise the dates for 2011. We would prefer weekend if there's any.

Groom - Rooster (1969)
Groom's dad - rooster (1933)
Groom's mum - rabbit (1939)

Bride - Pig (1983)
Bride's dad - Rat (1948)
Bride's mum - Dragon (1952)

Many thanks

Hi Joey,

As both of you are born in Dog yr, 2012 is a bad yr for wedding as Dragon yr clashes to Dog.

For Dec 2011, here are the general dates:

- 01/12, 02/12, 13/12, 19/12

**Note that these are general dates only. Both your bazi are not taken into consideration yet as the general date can still be considered inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible

Hi pingsparkle,

As bride is born Rooster yr, 2011 is not a good yr for wedding as Rooster and Rabbit yr clashes.

Best to do it in 2012 if possible.

Hope this helps

Hi stardustzzz,

Sui Po is just a Chinese terminology to mean that the month clashes with the year. Year 2011 is Rabbit yr, and Sept is Rooster month, hence these 2 months clashes, which is why it is not a good month.

Aug 2011 is 7th lunar mth, hence out as well

Hi Alice Choo,

As the groom is born Rooster yr, 2011 is not a good year for ROM/Wedding as Rabbit yr clashes to Rooster, hence not sure if you still want to proceed.

If you want to follow the 3 yrs rule, then there should not be any customary wedding or ROM (either within 100 days or 3 yrs later) as these are all "red" events. However, 3 yrs is bit long, normally most people just avoid 1 year, as a mark of respect for the deceased.
