Hi Master Tong,

Remember you mentioned the wedding lamp to be switch on after an chuang? Then why is it now to switch on after tea ceremony instead? As I will be at hotel stay, thus will not b back to room to switch off the lamps, can someone else switch off for me?

So meaning the driver can be zodiac of monkey since he will see the groom even before he fetch the bride?

Hi Vivian,

There are 2 phases to the An Chuang. The first phrase will be done few days before wedding where the good fortune couple will shift the bed to the original intended direction from a slanted position (hard to explain in text as i normally show my clients visually). After that, the bed must be left untouched till wedding day.

On wedding day (after tea ceremony), you will do phrase 2, which is light the bedside lamps, put a plate of dried stuffs on the bed (you can get from GDL shops) and ask a little boy to roll on the bed. This is what i meant by phrase 2 of the an chuang. The lamps will be left switched on till after you come back from hotel stay (this is normal). If you stay 2 nights in hotel, then let it be for 2 nights. If the battery went off, it doesn't matter. Normally after 1st night, the battery should went off already.

The driver ideally should NOT be Monkey if he is your friend/siblings.

That is not a general tong shu good date for wedding. It can only be used if the date and your bazi are compatible, else cannot be used.

For example, a couple going to hold their customary in early Jan. Is it true that three months before and three months after the couple should not attend other people's weddings / baby first month celebrations.

What are the implications if the couple attends it? What are the implications if others attend our wedding. There are two scenarios here. Please kindly state them out.

Anyway, for your 2011 dates:

02 Jul clash Rat, cannot use

10 Jul clash Monkey, cannot use

30 Jul clash Dragon, cannot use

Hi Weixiang

Yes. 3 motnhs before and after your wedding, you are not suppose to attend other's wedding, funeral and child birth.

The person that goes to will get the bad luck. The wedding couple is immune. Eg if you are getting married and you go to your friend's, you get the bad luck. Your friend is ok. Same for vice versa. Hence so long as you don't go, you are safe. Others don't believe and want to come to yours, they are the ones getting the bad luck, you are safe.

This is a chinese superstition, really up to you if you choose to believe or not. Personally, i will ask you to follow, since you only hold wedding once in a lifetime, so better to be safe than sorry

Sheryl, actually for 2011 Rabbit Lunar year, the whole Rabbit year clashes with your husband who is a rooster. The lunar year itself is a bad year for him to get married. Please read David's reply carefully.

Sheryl: Bazi readings requires both you and your hubby's date and time of birth.. You did not even include them in. How can david even calculate them? By the way, when i engage david's services to do detailed reading in 2009, he did inform me that after 4th Feb 2011 (Rabbit Lunar Year arrives), everyday after in 2011 will be a bad day for Rooster. I am a rooster like your hubby, which David mentioned to me that I can't avoid it. Dun believe, open up a tong shu to check.

As David mentioned, date selection is a form of astrology, and refers to the movement of the planets in the solar system which in turn affects the Qi on earth. Hence you cannot do something (like wearing some jades or crystals etc) to avoid the impact. You can only avoid getting married in that year as the Qi of that year is against you (this is the ideal scenario).

I took note of this and decided to get marry in Jan 2011 (Lunar Tiger Year) according my Bazi reading with David. Since you dun believe in it, then its alright. Hope David can clear this up. I know because David explained in detail to me in person when I met up with him last year.

It is too short a time frame to choose a date for you. In fact, tomorrow 6th will be the best date (though not the best as no more dates left), 11am-1pm (clash Goat). 7th Oct will clash Monkey, 8th clash Rooster, hence both dates are out. and 9th is already your wedding!

17th Jul is a super bad date for wedding. Avoid at all costs. Most hotels by now (esp the popular ones) will left with only those bad dates for 2011 weekends dates. May have to look at weekends lunch or weekdays now for 2011. Else most people are choosing 2012 dates already.

Btw, 2011 is not a good yr for groom to get married in.

2nd Jul clash to Rat, hence cannot used as GDL date as your mum is born Rat yr. It refers to all those born in rat year, irregardless of which year.

My parent was divorced since I was a children and I have been staying with my grandma(deceased 3yrs ago)/aunt since they divorced. Was thinking should I use my parent bazi or my aunt & her husband bazi to calculate for wedding date? Thank you.
