I am Rooster and my future hubby is Rabbit. Read that Year 2011 which is Rabbit Year clashes with Rooster and not advisable to get married. Does that mean my future hubby who is a Rabbit also clashes with me??

Here are the answers to your qns:

may I know if can't get our ideal date, is it true not to hold wedding during "ching ming"? any other time which is not auspicious?

>No, it is not true. Date selections is independent of chinese culture and traditions. As such, you can hold your wedding in Qing Ming or even 7th month. In fact, i have clients who specifically wanted these dates and their parents are ok with it. Most importantly is that your parents are ok with it coz as far as i know, 90% of the parents will object to it. So i will automatically omit these dates from my calculations, unless you specifically want dates in these months.

4)is it true also must choose to have wedding on the even numbers month in lunar calender? (eg. 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th month )what if we can't find the ideal date on even month? then when count BaZi what should we look at if we have no choice but to do it on other months?

>No this is not true again. This is just "pan-tang" or superstition. If that is the case, everyone will be fighting for the same months to get married in! don't forgot that you still have to ensure the date cannot clash to parents and both of you (and we haven't even take Bazi into account yet!). So i rest assure you that odd months is just as good for wedding. All you need is a good date

5)we have to hold the wedding twice, one in Singapore & one in Malaysia, does it makes any different? or should we count the BaZi the same way as how we count for Singapore wedding?

>This is common. The more important one will be the country the guy is born in. For selection of dates, we will apply the Bazi method for both. We want to ensure all those days are good.

Here are your answers:

1. What will happen if we get married on that day?

Since it clashes with the groom, it could affect your marriage. The level of intensity will depends on how good/bad your marriage life is in both your Bazi. It could mean more arguments, quarrels, and sometimes IF a person's Bazi has a very bad marriage and shows signs of divorce, this could add to it.

2. What does it means by clash with Dog?

14th Nov 2010 is a Dragon day. In Bazi and Chinese Metaphysics, Dragon and Dog clashes. These are opposing forces knows as 6 clashes, which is the most powerful form of clashes in all the Bazi formulas. You might want to check out my website at www.cmgconsulting.com.sg where in David's Blog section (Monthly Archives->2008->October), i've written a blog article on the 6 clashes.

3. Groom is a chirstian, so does it matter in this kind of suitation?

It does not matter. Date selection or Chinese Metaphysics is independent of religion. There is nothing religious in it. It is a science, a form of astrology.

4. If we really did to get married on that day, is there anyway to make it better?

All you can do is to ROM on a good timing

ROM is very important. I will still not advise you to use this date at all for ROM if possible. ROM is the date and time both of you officially become husband and wife. This is more inportant than your AD.

If you really have to do it, the timnig to sign the ROM papers will be 1500hrs - 1659hrs

For auspicious dates in Nov 2010, i won't be able to give you the Tong Shu auspicious dates now as the Tong Shu is not out yet (sometime next mth). You can post this again here next mth when it is out and i will help you with it. Right now, the only way to do it is using Bazi to calculate the dates.

As for your ROM, i can check for you if you want to, but i will normally advise against checking it since it is already over and you can't do anything about it and i don't want to make you paranoid in the case if it is not ideal

Hi Cyn,

This is more of a superstition. In Chinese Metaphysics, we don't have such a 'rule' in date selection, so strictly speaking, you can hold wedding on your birthday. Unless if your parents are against it, then just choose another date, coz you got 363 more days to choose from after minus off both your birthdays

I am not sure if temple allows you to do this. As you might or might not know, i don't mix religion with Feng Shui, coz there is nothing religious about Feng Shui. Normally under normal circumstances, you will choose a good day to shift the guanyin from your old place to your new home. In your case, you might have to ask around coz not sure if any temple allows you to do this

FYI, I don't need the siblings information.

So long as you are not born in Monkey yr, you can get married in year 2010. Elderly says that 2010 is not a good year for marriage but that is a superstition. there is no logic or basis in it. Maybe you would like to share their reason behind it and i will explain to you why it is not true.

For 2009 dec general tong shu dates, here they are:

- 5/12, 6/12, 17/12, 19/12, 23/12, 29/12, 31/12
