CharRay, my wedding will also be in mid-2011. Guess the hike in price is unavoidable =( Wonder if there will be any discount off each table during their promotion.

Hi Luvyvel, Indulge is the buffet area at the lobby area.. The std setup is something u can see from their show room.. Alternatively, you acn add me in FB to see.. Not much pics on the setup though.. They provide the ring bearers but I diy my own.. They provide the recept table, our names.. We have it in Chinese.. hehe.. They let u choose the table cloth between beige and red only.. drinks not included in the buffet price.. Juz need to add a few more dollars... If any CC on promo now, it can be used.. A good place with good food..

Oh.. u have a buffet solemnization. I've been dere b4, saw a group of ppl having a xmas party, love the place as well. I'm waiting for the roadshow, past posts say it will be in April.

I should be going down to book it tmr, after bad experience at Marina Mandarin..
 
Hi all..i think i made a mistake...haha... the 2010 pricing for emerald package is $988 nett... the new pricing works out to be $1045 after the plus plus... so it's about a $60 increase.. i confused the price with another hotel's... paiseh...
 
Luvyvel: I heard that its during Qing Ming that time (mar or apr in calendar)... minor bah... to the ballroom lighting, carpeting...
 
Just confirmed with William, he said reno to the ballroom will be done in August this yr.. i suppose Aug this yr is the lunar calender Hungry Ghost Festival... that's y they choose to do their reno then... but i really hope they do the reno this yr, don't drag anymore.. the ballroom in its current state looks a tad rundown for my liking... so my decision to take up a package with GPCH will be based largely on the fact that they're gonna renovate the ballroom...
 
Nope.. its still the walls, carpet, the lightings and small items.. =)

"We will be renovate during the Ghost festive period from 2nd week to 1st week of Sept." direct from William's email. =)
 
Woah, at first was going to change the wedding date to after the reno to utilise the new place but went with friend yesterday to take a look at the place and she has ideas to help me spruce up the place so that people will not notice the current older bits...

Most importantly, get to have the calligraphy walls still (in case it gets taken out after the reno).... :D
 
Hi everybody. I am a GPCH BTB too! Just confirmed my booking with William and is waiting for his contract to be drafted. My AD will be 26 Dec 2010 and it will be a luncheon wedding.

The main decision factor is the price and the renovations. William told us that it will be done during the Hungry Ghost festival this year. My hub asked about the calligraphy wall and he said it will be removed after the renovations.

I hope that the newly renovated ballroom will bring out the best in their proposed themes.
 
huh?!? Any idea when the renovations will be completely done up? My AD is in Sep...

Gene: Have you made the booking? If so, I think they wun let you do that if their reno cannot be completed.

I heard that it is around 9th Sep that they will finish. Maybe you can confirm with the hotel again.
 
dear all, anyone got food reviews/ comments from relative and friends? i pretty like this hotel and the recept area, ballroom is not too bad but i am concerned about the food quality. any reviews appreciated.

btw, their march in is straight march in?
 
WX: i wrote to William and he sent me registration form. S$18 per couple with UOB card. I think wo UOB card is S$28. inclusive of tea reception.

It is on 24th April from 12 noon to 6pm ... I be doing gown selection in JB.. sigh...

btw, dear BTBs... i went for the previous wedding fair which GPCH offered it for free... (taking into consideration of the poor economy back then)...

the spread offered to us was fantastic... heehee.. think i will still go and look look this time, even though it cost $18 per couple... the food is good...

a good time to spend one's afternoon...
 
Most likely I will be going for the show too..they will showcase the themes, set up, banquet location n bridal suite?first time attending wedding fair. William says he is going off le and I think another staff taking over, can't rem the name..

really caymens. 20 tables on weekend? so good! i so sad when i know i mostly cant hit 25 tables cause i need to give up considering this hotel.

I just had my ROM done at GPCH... The level of detail which William has demonstrated is immaculate... My ROM went very smoothly.

All the best for his future endeavours... sad to say that GPCH is going to lose such a great banquet sales manager... haiz...

Oh, my coordinator is also William... wonder who's going to take over? Btw, I have done my food-tasting on Saturday & I would say the dishes are quite good.
 
from my verbal conversation with william, he mentioned it would be mr christopher lee taking over...

not sure whether it would apply to all.. since he further added that my WD will be in Jan 2011...

i have no idea who this christopher lee? apart from the one from mediacorp?

its a pity that GPCH is going to lose such a great banquet sales manager cum coordinator... pray christopher lee will be as good too.
 
prior to my solemnisation, william even came down and congratulated me in person... talking about customer service.. really thumbs up!

thanks, christopher lee... i never heard of him before... not sure either...

my ROM was held at the water fall area, enclosed within the hotel... we then had a buffet luncheon at Indulge @ The Park...

william was very attentive to details... in his email, he mentioned that he will be looking forward to a new challenge and to starting a new phase of my career.

all the best to his future endeavours! from the looks of it, william will still be in singapore. its a great loss to GPCH and i will miss William alot...

hope Christopher Lee is also like William
