i took the invitation cards from my coordinator already and now in the mist of printing the insert, gonna rush out to give it to relative during CNY.

Hi mashi,

Really loved to share the photo but I would need sometime to resize it. Cos' now when I load the DVD, my computer will hang. Anyway, I noticed my PG never take photos of the ballroom and settings leh... all are with human... hehehe..

my wedding is in april.. when should i meet my coordinator to select theme and favors.. how bout food tasting?

3 months to my wedding but i feel so lost.. dunno wad else need to be done..
 
soulsista, my wedding also in April.. i am planning to start contacting my co-ordinator after CNY, maybe early Feb.. should be ok..

My coordinator offered me $250++ for deluxe room inclusive of 2 paxs breakfast...but I think quite expensive...u can try booking online at their website...seemed cheaper

janice, yup... last May we also paid the deposit then they give us the contact..

But you negotiate the terms with them first.. when you get the contract make sure everything is stated in it.. else can ask your coordinator to amend..

The food is up to standard. Service not bad.
tat time i at the Mercury ballroom. the ambience is nice....
but tink as the rm is nt the biggest. tats y nt say very grand ba..
 
hi can i ask how long in advance u all get to chose the wedding favours, theme, and confirmation of the stuffs table lay out? Will your coordinator call u up to prompt you on the time frame? My AD is abt a month away, i have not heard anything from the coordinator yet. I remember very clearly that on that day when i went to collect my invitation card he told us that we can go dwn to chose the theme n wedding favours 1 mth - 3weeks in adv then when closer date then confirm with him the no of tables. But when my hubby called him he say otherwise.
 
my AD is on Oct 09. I went to confirm my venue and signed the contract 2 days back.

food tasting will be 2-3 months before AD. wedding favours, my coordinator say i can choose it 1 month before AD. Confirming your no. of tables can be ard 7 days in advance i suppose.

I think its better you call your coordinator up, they should be really busy dealing with his work.. Remind him better than you get nothing at all yea? Later they try to say you choose too late, then there's limited stock left or so.

Choose earlier to confirm your stock is ready on the safe side. =)
 
hi dottie.. e coordinator actually gif me a list of the pple u can contact for wedding favor deco etc.. he said he is actually if we go direct to the pple doing e favor though.may b u can try

you need to confirm your number of table first before approaching your coordinator for the favour cos like that then he will know how many to order.

I only contact omy coordinator 2 week before my wedding and there are long holidays for christmas and new year, but everything done on time. so dun worry too much. get your guest list finalize first.

i agree with ryan, guest list very impt, confirmed that as on the last meeting, they will need confirm ur no of tables le..other things not as taxing as guest list haha...

It was a great wedding! i had no complains haha
but now i missed it hehe...

some snapshots of my wedding in mercury ballroom.
our theme was Spring Bliss..special request of lilac sage for the stage...the stage was set up for our solemnisation right b4 dinner
 
some advise...the lights at the ceiling of mercury ballroom will keep changing colors...though it looks nice but my guest complain of headache thus we have ask the banquet mgr to stick to 1 lighting..for those taking mercury ballroom, do take note of this...

I didnt have emcee speech as i ask my emcee to use their imaginative n say whatever they like...it was a informal n casual event so they create their dialogue in hokkien, singlish etc haha

the whole dinner was gd...i started march in at 8pm then straight away solemnisation, then take some pics then start 1st course...must really start early if u r planning same as me, solemnisation in ballroom b4 dinner....
ur solemnisation is 6.30pm or 8pm one?
 


by the way,,,u can request for dancing chef one leh hehe...they will actually get 1 of their staff to dress up as chef and dance ard in very funny hehe...i got to know from 1 of their helpful AV guy haha
