Not really, i just go to a shop in people's park complex selling CS fabric and chose the fabric myself. Must say it isn't easy when i was choosing the material :P

but i bought it in a shop at people's park complex which is mainly selling cheongsum/chinese traditional looking cushion cover material...

Thanks! I got it. Just wondering when do you think is a good time for me to tailor the cheongsam. My AD will be next year mar 10, if i do it now, afraid that the dress might not be able to fit that well by next year...

Joy, u still have lots of time from now to Mar, u can look around for the materials and design that u prefer.
minor alterations can still be done near to the date.

like rapidwonder mentioned, you can source around for design and where to get yr materials first.
if u want to have ample time maybe like 1 mth plus to 2 months before can start making? Of cos need to check with the seamstress
schedule whether she can deliver on time. Some if too packed schedule will take longer than normal to complete yr dress.
Nearer the wedding date, alteration is possible.

thanks! cos i will be "DIYing" the wedding package. Therefore need to know roughly how long i need to plan for the cheongsam and the wedding gown and kwa.

i made my CS in a seamstress shop at people's park complex but the building is now under construction

I have a stunning red CS gown to let go at $400.
Worn for wedding and it's too outstanding to wear it again. if you are keen, just PM me.
