Hi MRC,
Yup, just tell the taxidriver to alight you at White Orchid Hotel then walk straight down. Because White Orchid hotel is already located at the end of Chinatown so if you are facing the streets with White Orchid Hotel at your back then turn right and walk straight down where you will see the restaurant after passing a few shops.
The restaurant you wont missed because that is one of the only one that showcase their char siew etc etc. Haaa...haaaa.....
Sorry as we were too excited by the food so i did not take note of the name of the restaurant.
Sampeng market is very very crowded so be careful with your wallet.
All shopping malls closed at 9.00pm. No..The clothes in Platinum mall is not cheap at all compared to pratunam market.
Both Pratunam market and complex are places to get good bargains. Even though most of the stalls dont have fitting rooms BUT rest assured because they are more than 100% accurate in getting your waist size, hip size right. And you can get jeans both ladies and guys at $199 baht to $350 baht.
Only places like MBK will quote a price of $600 baht for jeans. My younger brother got "conned" over at MBK for his jeans despite our warning so when he went to Pratunam market and saw the same pair selling at $300 baht, he nearly vomited blood. Haaa...haaaa.....
So to make sure you wont get conned, make Pratunam market your very first stop before venturing anywhere.
