Hi precious_momemnts, what's your email address? For me, i flipped through magazines to get a feel and showed Amanda what i liked. Then after some discussion, she designed my EG for me. I was quite apprehensive at first but it turned out beautifully!

Yep... my package with Amanda also has the MTM men's suit to keep, so should be the same as Jaslyn. Guess she probably changed her package...

When I visited her last week, i was introduced to photolanguage, Chris Ling, attitude and vivid shots. Do you know of others? Have to decide on PG now so that I can sign up with Amanda! hee...

I feel that you should select your PG according to the style that you like, see which PG you are more comfortable and can click with and the one that can meet your budget. Those PGs that Amanda offered to you are those that are popular and frequently selected by her brides. Anyway, you can sign up with Amanda first and confirm on your PG at the later stage also can. Hope it helps.

I was in the same Situation b4 but i chose Amanda LEE .

> I like both their Designs a lot & both Designers hv their Strong pts .

She spent abt more than 3 hours talking & Discuss my Gown Design wif me . Amanda listens to wat u want & wat u like and give advice & Design according .

> Nothing against Ted Wu, I didnt get to meet him . i only met up wif his Assistant . ( If i m not wrong,you only get to meet Ted Wu only after u sign up wif him ) .

So i m not veri sure if i can Click wif him . =(


> Personally i feel , we r spending lots of $$$ for the Wedding, so beside liking ths Designs , we must b able to click or get along with the Designer & other Service Providers .

Or i will b quite Stress. =) Paying so much $$$$ & get Lousy Service .
 
Hi Djoy, thks for sharing your thoughts..i totally agree with your take on AMLW service. She is very professional. I did not get to meet Ted Wu yet, so can't comment on his service.

I can't remember much about their packages as i didn't sign up for it, but they have OTR gowns too. I also got my OTR WG from AMLW, and MTM EG is for me to keep.

Hi everyone, is there any difference in getting Amanda Lee or Miah to design the gown? I mean, if I go to Amanda Lee Weddings, I would expect to Amanda herself to be designing my gown right? Is there any difference in their designs?

I think more or less, there's a difference. The most important thing is whose design do you like best. But you can request for Amanda to design for you if you want. For mine, i got Xyza to design for me.

Just wanted to share my absolutely wonderful experience with Amanda and Joe. The whole process was really easy and fun. And I really love the gown she made for me - it has the right kind of embellishements, not an overkill. I like it that she is able to understand what you will like, and not push you into a corner to accept certain designs. And she was really caring too. When I had a real bad work day on my trial makeup day she called the next day to ask if everything was alright. Have heard all the horror stories about designers forgetting to do this or that during the design process, so yup, am very happy with AMLW

I have heard very good reviews about Amanda Lee but am not sure what type of gowns she specialises in. Could you send me pictures of your gown too so that I can have an idea? Many thanks.

Amanda likes to work with lace and colour. Her gowns can be classy, yet with an edge. I think to get a more complete picture of the types of gowns she "specialises" in, why not make an appointment to visit her and see her range of gowns too?

I will definitely make an appt, just that I am currently working overseas so still doing some research at the moment. Need to speak to her about time constraints too if its MTM as I want to bring the gown overseas to have my photos taken . Also I may not be able to fly back and forth too many times for the fittings. Quite a headache.

Oh I see...yeah, it is indeed difficult to find out and sign a bridal package while overseas. well, just gotta keep an open mind and bear in mind that one bride's gown is just a part of ALW's whole collection and abilities...and certain gowns might appeal to some, but not to others...kinda thing.

my MUA is Freddie. For florist, it comes with my package..it's Redbox for me. Ching Yan was my point of contact..very nice lady

i popped by amanda lee weddin's outlet at cantonment rd recently, it was in the basement rite? the glass doors seem to b locked.. do i have to ring a bell or sth to get in? ;p
 
just slide it, and it shld open..when did u go? the outlet is not opened on sunday..i will usually make an appointment before going down
