hi all, just wondering if the solemnisers reply you quite fast? cos so far 1 contacted 2, both replied like 3wks later that they can solemnise my wedding. but after I reply asking for a good day for me to hand them the consent form, no replies again!! Panic now!! =(

Heard that both are quite nice. :-)

I am quite confused of the e-filling thing, got an impression of can be register 3months prior to my ROM date. But realised it can be done any date within the 3months. Can anyone enlighten me, thanks.
 
I try to engage Professor Yu for my ROM in Dec. He told me that he cant confirm at this point in time and ask me to get back to him in 3 months time =(

I engaged Mr Koh Kok Weng as my Solemnisor on 27th Sept 2008. He was very cheerful and kept smiling.. Very punctual. He made us and our guests relax, and had contact with our guests as well during his introduction. He gave each of us a heart-shaped note with meaningful phrases and made us read out the vows to each other, hand in hand. However, as he had another appointment, he could not join us for our lunch celebration. Believe he was rushing off to another solemnization.. I'm glad I managed to engage his service and will definitely recommend him to all couples intending to engage a solemnisor. Thank you very much to MR Koh once again for his excellent service!
 
Jen> Best if you can secure one 4mths before your ROM date... I got mine 3.5mths before the ROM date... I have tried 6mths before but kana rejected. Hahah

I am in the midst of selecting the JP for my solemmnisation in June 2009. I understand from the forum that there are a few JPs mentioned. Could you all share with me your experience and enlighten me the procedure of selecting the following JPs:-

- Yeo Woon Soo
- Yu Shi Ming
- Lim Huan Chiang

it depends on the individual, some only accept 'booking's 3 months prior, unless it's for popular dates. but no harm contacting them earlier and asking them if they are available =)
 
Hi all,
Just want to voice my frustration over Yu Shi Ming. I invite him to be my JP in Jun'08 (wedding held in March 09 on a Saturday evening) but he said it's too early for him to decide. So I invite him again in Sep'08 and he said still too early and 3 months before the date should be fine. So I invite him again this month and he said Saturday is a day where he reserve for his family dinner.

What a waste of time??? I have already told him in my very fisrt invitation the date and day and now he come back telling me all these. *angry*
 
Hi all, i would like to ask whether e JP will post "sensitive" questions or sentences if its not my 1st marriage?Coz will be doing e solemnisation before wedding lunch..thanks!~

Just met Dr. Ling Ai Mee on Sat for marriage interview. Not the super-friendly type. But seems dignified and serious about the whole affair. Think we're okay with that, since solemnization is meant to be solemn, isnt it? :p

Will let you know how the event turns out. My ROM is on 21 Dec 09!
