(2015) 2015 brides??

just wanted to warn fellow 2015 brides-to-be's mums/aunties.... Please avoid the Cheongsam Shoppe at all costs!!
the filipino staff that attended to me "sweet-talked" my mother in buying a cheongsam, and assured us that it did not require dry cleaning etc etc . She said it could just be shaken lightly in water and hung to dry. After doing just that, we realised that the bottom hem was now very wavy and crooked, and the black inner lining was now misshapen and could be seen peeking out from the side...

I brought it back to the Nex outlet and was served by a disinterested auntie who said she was a part-timer, did not know anything, asked me to come back again another day?! After I had taken time off work specially to go down to Nex. She did not even offer to ask a senior colleague for a solution to my query. I had to repeatedly suggest she call her boss or another outlet for help. She claimed her boss was uncontactable, the other colleague from other outlet did not want to speak to me, and that she will tell the full-time staff to call me the next day.

After getting nowhere with that auntie, i had to leave. The filipino staff who called me back claimed that "after inspection, they concluded the wavy hemline was due to ironing". It was not!! My mother doesn't even own a functioning iron currently!! Yet her tone was so emphatic and haughty, it really irritated me a lot. Like she was insinuating that my mother and i were LIARS. She outright refused to exchange or refund me for this defective product, and still insisted that there was nothing wrong with her cleaning instructions.

Worse still, she said she has "never had any problems" with any other customers. Even if I were believe that were true, when someone buys a can of expired food from the supermarket and complains, does the supermarket say that the customer is lying, cos no one else has returned the rotten canned food before??

The appalling customer service is really unbecoming on a shop that claims to sell "classy" modern cheongsam dresses and tops.

Now i have an extremely upset mum who has to find a solution to this before my AD in May 2015, cos the shop refuses to exchange or refund us the money for their crap. They do not realise how much potential business I could have brought them, with all my aunts and jiemeis, if they knew what "customer service" really is.

Please do not be fooled by their lousy staff who have no clue how to treat their customers right.

Xuelilove, you can try Crazy notes. It is a bilingual band that plays on Tuesdays at Shuffle bistro (Clarke Quay).
Their female lead singer is very very good, male one also very good. Also got a keyboardist and percussionist.
My HTB and I went to check them out at Shuffle and are signing them on! when is ur AD?

hi any btb here took a package from the louvre bridal. please PM me!! thank you!

Hihi, I initally was considering louvre bridal too, but I went down to their shop and had a pretty sour experience.. Not trying to smear their name or anything, but just to share with you, so that you can arm yourself with more information before making your decision.

I went down by myself to enquire abt their package last wk on a monday afternoon when there was only 1 other couple there. There were 3 staff in the shop and one was attending to the couple, so 2 free staff to serve me.. I had made an appointment with them but when I turned up they looked a bit confused to see me. Initally they ask me sit down and look thru their pre wedding photos and gown pictures, but after that they just left me there by myself for over 30mins while they chatted amongst themselves at their table. Even when they finish chatting and walked past me, they didn't stop to ask if I was done or needed help even though I tried to catch their attention.

After sitting there for a long time, one of the staff finally approached me. I asked her to share more about their packages and she asked me where my partner was.. He wasn't with me as he was having in camp reservist and I came down to the shop myself, and I told her as so.. She then told me "oh we can't tell u anything about our pricing and package if your partner is not around, both of you have to be here before we can share any information with you".. On top of that she asked me when was my actual day and "tsk the tsk" me when I told her it's in Oct.. She then proceed to give me a lecture on how I was very late already and should be worried about my wedding planning, and even told me not to bother to go down to other bridal shops if my partner was not able to accompany me.

I was pretty upset to say the least, because we are both working adults in demanding jobs. I don't get much time off so I'm saving it for the wedding as is my partner and because of conflicting schedules we can't always accompany each other everywhere.

And yes although I do admit that I am probably planning a lot later then maybe most brides, but I still have at least a good 7 months which I believe is sufficient especially when I'm planning a simple wedding.

I feel that when you select a bridal studio, you should have a rapport with them and they should be supporting you through your journey. Because ultimately their service is what they are selling to you - not just their gowns and photographer and MUA, but they are selling their services to you to ensure that you have a more stress free planning process so that you can focus on other things that are important to you.

So I was rather appalled at their condescending attitude, especially to someone who was a potential customer. In the end I wasted an hour of my time there, being ignored for the first half and lectured for the second half.

They may not have this type of attitude to every customer and I guess I was just an unfortunate one but still I wanted to share my experience with you all.

They want your partner to be there so tt they can hard sell you. Both me and my partner took 2hours plus to wriggle out of the shop and it was so stressful.

Thanks for sharing. I am so annoyed on your behalf. That is atrocious! How rude! What's wrong with asking details. They're not even doing anything anyway. Tsk! I can't believe she still lecture you about u being late in planning etc. Like is she your mother? Major rolls eyes.

ouchh~~ thats so hurtful. i actually went down to louvre bridal last sat before seeing your reply, at first when i arrive with my girl friend, the staff also gave a weird look. they also passed me an ipad to look thru and take down some of my details, thereafter they just leave us there alone for some time, after a while another staff attended to me. but maybe because i told them my htb is foreigner and that all decision will be made by me so they actually go thru their packages with me and etc. and i've decided to sign up with them. i also not very sure if the packages they offered are ok or i should had asked for more.

I am considering white link/ louvre bridal/ beautiful love. While reading through the many forums, I think most bridals got good and bad feed backs. Some said white link after service is poor, but gowns and photos are recommended. some said louvre bridal provide good planning service. I think I will be open to all the feed backs and visit them to experience for myself. I just made an appointment and also received their email inform indicating wedding planning will be conducted when both partners attending. I am curious about this point? and will ask them about it when i am there.

sweetish12: may i know which package you signed up?
I had a friend who took their package and I roughly know their package price. But don't know if their package is still the same now.
