Hi Gals...i have met my MUA. She said she will not stay with me for 2nd march in to change hair style, remove veil and touch up make up. If I want her to stay, I have to pay more. My package included 2 times make up which I will be using one in the morning and one at noon before my lunch banquet. Do you have any idea? I believe normally MUA will wait till 2nd march in time. I feel a bit wired with this MUA...
It's usually the case. They charge for a change of hair or makeup (usually just touching up). It's not necessary. You can ask your MUA to design a hairstyle that can be easily tweeked (eg, just changing sides of where your hair flows - right or left - by using bobby pins). I helped my friend 'change' her hairstyle for the 2nd march-in that way.

It's not just your MUA - this is actually very common with many MUAs. But like what @Jehvy mentioned, it is recommended that you find a make-up and hairstyle that suits both your march-in attires. There really isn't too much time for much of a change anyway. There was only one wedding that I attended so far where the hairstyles and make-up were different for both march-ins - in that wedding, many people secretly complaint as to why it took the couple so long for the second march-in and even the emcee and coordinator had to switch around the order of events just so the guests don't get bored and tired of waiting... If your MUA does a good job at your hair and make-up, most will stay in place and you may only need minor touch-up... =)

since your package consist of 2 times make up (morning & before lunch), then it's normal then she won't be staying till 2nd march in because to them it counts as another make up :/

usually the 2nd march in is just a touch up and a slight change in hairstyle.. as @Jehvy mentions, you won't have time to change a whole new look..

Better check if Ur MUA will charge you a fee for you doing that. Read that some MUA may charge like $20 for u to have your own ampoule and help u put on the false lashes

What I heard from the bridal studio is that the MUA will not wait till the 2nd March in before she leave, we have to pay her extra if we want her to stay till the 2nd march in.

The bridal studio recommended us to have a hairstyle and make-up that will fit both the wedding gown and 2nd march in evening gown. There is probably not much time to change a whole new make-up and hairstyle anyway for the 2nd march in
Thanks!

I think it all depends on the package price.. mine includes 2nd march in with change of new hairstyle and make up.. no extra charge for ampoules and fake eyelash.. my mua was extremely helpful.. everytime my bridesmaid follow me up to change.. my mua will touch up for her as well.. even help a fren to set a simple hairstyle at no charge..

Hi gals! I would like to ask one more question. I am not Chinese but my fiance is Chinese so we will be doing tea ceremony. We both are youngest in our family so we have elder siblings who are married and also elder sibling single. Do we serve tea to all elder sibling and bro-in-law and sis-in-law? or only can serve to parents and grandaunts etc.

I think it depends on your families? If they're more traditional they might want you 2 to serve tea to all who are older, and be served tea from all who are younger. We decided to just serve to those at least 1 generation older, so we didn't serve to older cousins in the same generation as us, and we didn't get served tea from younger siblings or cousins. We checked with our parents and my grandparents, they were ok with it so we did it our way.

For me, we served our siblings and elders like aunts and grandparents .. we didn't serve cousins as I have a lot of cousins to begin with.. probably you want to check with Both sides on their preference too

Hi gals, I have a question:

I have natural black hair and have not dye it before. I am always afraid that dyed hair requires a lot of maintenance (constant dyeing and follow up hair care). Initially have no intention to dye it for my pre-wedding photo-shoot. However, during my gown fitting the bridal studio coordinator keep stressing that it would be good for me and my SO to dye our hair at least into a shade of dark brown. She claims that it will make us look much “nicer” in the photographs and keep showing us their model photos with couples with dyed hair. I am just wondering is there any truth in it since it made us torn between dyeing or not.
This happened to me and my bf. But the MUA at taiwan just use those spray that is temporary dye colour which will wash off at the end of the day. No extra charge on that and you can see your hairdo clearer. Like there are "layers". The MUA just joked that I had used 7 bottles of her hair spray dye and by the 8th bottle, it will be chargeable. You can consider that option if you do not want to dye your hair.

Hmm that's a good idea, I have natural black hair too, but my friend said dying hair gives one a different look. i'm still contemplating. Didn't dye my hair for my ROM and my MUA said that its not so nice to style.

Hi there, any of your SO taliored made their suits and pants? My fiance barely fit into the suits provided by the bridal studio and we are on a tight budget. Any Singaporean taliors that have good workmanship and afforable prices to recommand? Budget about $300 for a set of suit and pants. Bridal studio suggested that we can go to Bangkok to make the suits at a cheaper price but it is too much a hassle to us.

Is it ok for younger siblings to not serve tea to married couples? Htb mum said his younger brothers also no need to serve us tea.

my condolences to ur jiemeis' families. In my opinion, I'm sad to say this but preferably not. If I'm the jiemei, I won't be attending weddings too till one year later. U may wish to check with your parents and htb's parents. I know some dialects are very particular over 红白事。

Sorry to hear about this happening to your friends :/

I'm not superstitious so if it's me I'll say, if they don't mind, and if you and your htb don't mind, go ahead. If you pantang, then it depends on how long your family believes they should avoid "happy occasions". If you wanna follow this then better check with both your families to be safe.

if you don't mind, G2000 has decent suits, and there's sale sometimes too.. or Marks and Spencer.

My MUA sprayed my hair brown...so that saved me from all the trouble of dying it. But she told me my hair will look better on AD if i colour it. Effect of Spraying is different

anyone have any idea how to redeem the air miles thru kris flyer?
As in how to use krisflyer miles when buying air tickets? Just log in to your krisflyer account. Next select the departure and destination followed by the dates. There should be a checkbox "redeem krisflyer miles" somewhere where you can click.

Oic,I also just shortlisted one,but still looking around if see any review.
Hi Xuelilove,I just meet KOR from RIC KOR PHOTOGRAPHY last week, my fiance and I signup on the spot. My experience during the consultation is awesome as I have shortlist few PGs,but when come to KOR, he actually share something different than others and many options and advises given to us. The most important things we like is he not hard sell the package but he draft us an outline for the whole wedding so that we can see what actually we needs and what I can say is...it totally value of money.

you can read through their review in their website. Anyway, just to share my experience but not to hard sell him, haha. BTBs who interest, can give a try for the consultation:)

My budget is abt $4k for both PG & VG. Pixioo so far only never appear on the the actual day for one of the gals right? Any more bad review? I only manage to find one bad review. Can share more?

Vanessa Sng package rate is the same as my Zwedding AD package so I thought if she is same as z wedding then I might as well get from Zwedding. Any advise?
