Need help with parent expectation

Hi, just wondering is there any bride who feel unhappy when planning her wedding? I wanted to have a small intimate wedding but my parents and his parents wanted to invite everybody. What should i do? I totally dont look forward to my wedding because it is not what i expect and wants. Should i just give in to our parents?

If they are sponsoring for the event (dinner?) than perhaps you can consider to go " to give them face"

As for yourself, you can always host an intimate event by yourself and husband/ very close friends, maybe on the lunch?? Share thoughts with your partner to align with his view first before having "the talk" with parent / parent in law?
