I saw in weddings, they have a two small ang bao' boxes placed on the two ends of the reception table. I think it looks nicer that way and not too tacky with a big box of ang bao. No offence, but that's just my personal view. I think such things must be a bit subtle and not too in-your-face to ask for ang-bao but that's just my point of view k?

Oh, my frd had a wooden chest, n her jiemeis just collect the angbaos and place inside the chest. No slot. The chest was stratigically placed behind the reception flower deco, so not obvious. It think its nice.

but oh no, another thing to think about. I trust my bridesmaid and family, of course. Cos usually, guests will place the ang bao in the bride and groom's hand personally who will in turn give them to the bridesmaid and bestman to place in a special container. I think my container will be a huge blue pail you see in the hardware store.
