Hikers Shi Yun and Darren shot their session in Coney Island to capture their love for adventure and the outdoors. A couple who enjoy art and artefacts, Stefani and Kevin decided on the 1920s, travel, and time for key concepts behind their wedding. Onboard The Orient Express Singapore, with glamorous outfits and dramatic shots, their cinematic shoot travels back in time. To create a 1980s in Hong Kong vibe, Pei Wen and Rayson headed to Geylang at night to capture the neon signs on the heritage buildings.

3. Express Your Style

Traditional pre-wedding shoots may have been all about big ballgowns with long trains, but you don’t have to wear that if that’s not your style! Your engagement session is your chance to dress up and express your personal style, whether it’s a tailored jumpsuit or a gown or even casual wear. Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. Stay true to your personal style and wear clothing that reflects who you are as individuals and as a couple.

Choose colours that flatter your skin tones and coordinate well together, instead of opting for matching outfits. Consider the backdrop of your location and choose colours that will complement it. Bold and vibrant colours can make a statement, while softer and neutral tones can create a more timeless and classic look.

4. Pack Essentials

When preparing for a pre-wedding photography shoot in Singapore, especially if it’s outdoors, it’s important to have a few essential items to ensure an enjoyable experience. Singapore’s weather can be humid, so having a touch-up kit is essential if your makeup artist is not following you around on the shoot. Pack items like facial tissues, blotting paper, powder, lip balm, and any other makeup or grooming products you may need to freshen up during the shoot.

Pack another pair of sneakers or slippers to change into when you’re not posing for photos in your heels.
