Hi,
Well I'm just gg to do quick responses okay.
1)
Pros top load (presuming asian style washing)
Cheap to buy and maintain
Wash time-relatively short
Relatively simple to operate
Cons of top load
Wash quality less superior compared to continental wash
Fabric care less superior compared to continental wash
Uses more water typically about 100litres of water onwards
Only cold wash option
Washing agitation is relatively fixed
Customisation of wash options limited
Pros of continental wash style (front or top load)
Uses very little water
Choic of wash agitation available- according to cycle
Choice of wash cycle according to fabric
Hygiene wash possible - temperature adjustment
Gentle on fabric whilst delivering effective and efficient wash
Easier to pair and stack with dryer (note only for front loading continental washe for top loading continental washer either wall mount of top loading dryer
Cons of continental washing
Expensive to buy and maintain if spoil but is generally very reliable
Uses specific type of wash detergent - low suds (now not a problem a lot of brands offer)
2)Yes advisable to get seperate washer and dryer. Unless your wash load is very load like once a week. Even then a seperate machine will be more reliable and practical as washer-dryer typically can dry half its wash load at a time and it cost more to run.
3)Small household 7kg is more than sufficient but connsidering your one big piece item of king sized quilt then 8kg should be considered. Note asian brands offering continental style washing has a small drum size than similar rated continental brand. I.e. 7kg samsung is smaller than a 7kg bosch or electrolux.
4) Finalise your capacity etc and then we see. Between 1.2 to 1.5k is quite tight. Looking at probably 1.8k
