Sheraton Towers Singapore Hotel

Charlotte, I have bad encounter with their male coordinator as well.

so don't worry, you're not the only one.

I give up on this hotel, doesn't want to pay for such service.

With reference to the following post, the offer is not longer available:

Hi, I have wedding dinner package at sheraton to let go for 2012 and I am willing to let go part of the paid deposit. Interested please email me @[email protected]

hi all, i am new here.. i am planning my wedding in year 2013...been to Sheraton the last workshop n very interested in their package..but too bad they dun allow booking for 2013 3Q yet.. any one has attended their workshop previously in Aug or May 2011, mind sharing with me to see the.difference? Thanks..

Hi girls,
My coordinator is Lynnette. I think up to now, she is pretty professional in her replies although she is quite stingy with the perks. She also took a while to reply my initial email too but her follow up was not as long. I guess if you are not comfortable with the coordinator assigned to you, perhaps ask for another coordinator from the hotel, I am sure they could do something about it.

My coordinator is lynnette too.

i confirmed my package with sheraton pretty early, like one year ahead of my AD as it is a popular date. My initial query to the coordinator was slow too. She would probably take 2 to 3 days to reply. But as my AD draws nearer, she will start to drop reminders, initiate meetups and etc. it is to the extent that i wasnt even ready to provide her the info. Her reply would be faster too

So i believe, the coordintors will priotrise couples with AD which are nearer

i think sheraton is not v good unless u r taking the main big ballroom. do not take amber/opal/topaz room. the area outside reception is v small. imagine if there are two weddings, it will be super cramp. cos both staircase and lift lead to the smaller ballroom before the big one.

I'm holding my banquet with Sheraton on the 7 July. Sign up with them in the workshop. Lynnette have been very helpful with us so far. Now kinda regret cuz they can only hold max 11 tables in the topaz room if we wan the long aisle. Having difficulties on my invite list.

judest, sorry abt the late reply. don't login often. hve send u an email on the perks.

btw, lynnette have left. ryan will be taking over me and till date he have not contacted me! my food tasting is on 14 May, not yet confirm menu. yet he's not asking. sigh. it's gonna b bad

Hi Lynn, my food tasting is slightly before yours. Probably cos we booked early so Lynnette has confirmed my menu b4 she informed about someone else taking over her. Upon hearing that she's leaving, I'd arranged a meetup with her n e new coordinator to run through some questions and to take the chance to thank Lynnette and to meet the new coordinator. Im sure Lynnette wld have done a good handover for your case. You might like to arrange e meetup with e new coordinator to catch up on before ur food tasting? Jiayou ya!!

Hi girls! Now that my wedding is over, it's my turn to give a review on Sheraton Towers.

Coordinator - Lynnette then Sabrina. To start of, Lynnette was extremely flexible and responsive. A pity that she had to leave just before my wedding. I was introduced to Sabrina only after food tasting and we finalised a number of issues for AD. Sabrina was too quick in replies.

Banquet Manager - Jason. He was introduced to us on the same week of AD when we returned to the hotel for AV testing. He was very assuring and patient.

Bridal Suite and Helpers Room - We were given a suite on the 18th floor with both rooms side by side which was very convenient for us. The view was great though we don't have much chance to enjoy it. Room service was great! As expected, food was good but expensive. The complimentary cake delivered to my suite was fantastic! Guys whom do not have a sweet tooth too finish the entire cake!

Dinner Food - Remember to choose the PiPa Duck! It is one of the highlights from Li Bai. Guests love the fish as well. Basically, guests were very happy with food and servers.

Wedding invites selection - The range of invites was huge! My hubby and I had a tough time selecting cos everything looks so good and adorable. Frens and families too said the cards were unique as our names were customised to be printed on the cards cover.

Wedding favors - This should be the last thing you should worry. Sheraton has 2 suppliers with a range of gifts. My package allowed me to have 2 types of favors (alternate gifts each seat). The down side is, I've got to choose 2 from the same supplier. Friends commented that the salt and pepper cups were very delicate and cute and they even requested to have one more! Luggage tag was a good and useful choice too.

AD service - I've chose the Topaz Room (total 11 tables) so it was not as grand as the grand ballroom but service was prompt and good. As I have a several guests with special menu needs, another banquet manager was dedicated to serving them.

However, they was slightly slow in preparing the dry ice for march in. I've reached the stage and staff was still preparing in the dry ice. But it's a just small hiccup which it not important to me.

I'm just amused and even whispered to the staff that it's alright and not to hurry.

Payment - Jason was flexible with us paying up only upon check out and not straight after dinner. He informed me the outstanding balance, bottles of wines, and even sent a set of dinner to our suite.

Sheraton brides, not to worry! You are in great hands! :D

Chloegirl:- thanks! Maybe Ryan was busy taking over from Lynnette. I finally met him during my food tasting and so far so good! Having headache on the layout plan as topaz room is kinda small for any major arrangement.

Missyyee:- thanks for the review! Very assuring now. I'm also taking topaz room. Can I check how many tables do y'all hve what's the floor plan like?

MissyYee.. Thanks for the positive review!
My coordinator is also Lynnette & now Danielle. So far, they have been v responsive & flexible in my rqst too! M glad everything went so well for u. My wedding is in Aug & I'm using the Grand Ballroom. I am keep ing my fingers crossed that everything will turn out well. From your positive review, I'm much more relieved now!
Food-tasting: I am so gg to choose Pi Pa Duck.. my future in-law also wanted that dish so I guess it is meant to be!

)

Thanks again!

Lynn, how many tables do you have? I have 11 tables and had the longer (L-shaped) march in and it was a teeny weeny cramp.

I can forward u the layout I opt if you want.
happy.gif

JC, I had the wasabi prawns during food tasting and was kinda blah so I opt for the live drunken prawns which was good according to my guests.
happy.gif

Missyyee: I have 11 tables too! And I am not in favor of taking the middle short walk way and prefer the long walk way where I'll walk from last door to the other end where the stage is. But I'm concern that those sitting at the far back can't see as Ryan told me there's no projector anywhere near there as its not possible. Did u have any issue?

Lynn,

My march in was from the middle door (not last door) to the stage on extreme right, forming a L-shape march in.

I've got 2 projectors; one at the stage, and one in the middle of the room facing the middle door. Those sitting at far back are able to see the projectors. Maybe you want to ask Ryan if you can use both projectors.
happy.gif

missyyee:- oh, i know which layout u take already! tried PM u but then ur PM is off. Ryan told me there's 2 projectors. 1 is at the stage while the other 1 is at the screen between table 2-3. isit the same as urs?

Lynn,

Oops! Just changed my settings.
happy.gif
Yup, you're right on the locations of projectors. Don't worry, guests at far end will be able to see.

went to a friend's wedding last year and was totally impressed by the ballroom, food n server. This year, i brought my htb to their wedding show. and he too was so impressed by their ballroom, their theme and their food.. after sheraton, we went to lias with wedding coordinators of fullerton, mbs, rws, intercontinental, goodwood, marriot, mandarin orchard, look at their packages, suites and ballroom... and finally we decided to go back to sheraton. It has set such high standard that we felt others were not as good. We have book the grand ball room with them.. we lias with Irene Tan whom i think is the director of catering.very nice lady. Im hoping that their standard will not drop as my wedding is only gg to be in dec 2013. hah

Jaslyn, I am nov 2013 bride!
going to confirm with Sheraton soon~
i just went to site sheraton last week. very happy with the ballroom and Sabrina was very nice lady too!

I had my wedding on the 7th July at their topaz room(11tables only) and I was very impressd with their service and especially the banquet manager, mr sithu. I'll definitely recommend them to my friends and relatives who will be holding their banquet there (:

Has anyone gotten a waiver of fees for usage of a function room / waterfall for your Solemnisation Ceremony at Sheraton when you book your wedding dinner/lunch with them?

shrooms, i took lunch with sheraton. i need the function room for my tea ceremony, didn't need to do any solemnization as i did mine last year.

if you take their wedding package, you can actually do your solemnization at the waterfall for $500 including all the floral deco, basic chair covers, drinks, etc..

just email sheraton for the packages

rabbit girl, i am also considering to book wedding lunch with them and need a function room for solemnization and tea ceremony. did you manage get the function room cost of $500 waived off?

Hi girls,

Just wanna share my experience w Sheraton Towers (ST) since my wedding is just over on 2nd August. My hub fell in love w ST d 1st time we went there last dec & we signed up w Lynette shortly after the visit. The service provided by Lynette has been wonderful & prompt with her putting up with the many changes on our side. With only 8 months to prep our wedding, plus both my hub & I are hardly in Sin due to work, every month just passed with a blink of an eye!

When Lynette told us she was leaving in April & was handing our wedding to another coordinator, Danielle. We almost flipped! We are so worried that Danielle cannot be bothered with us as we are like 'passed-on goods' & she might not know what we wanted & d discussion we had so far. However, our anxieties were unnecessary. Danielle quickly followed up with us after Lynette broke the news on her departure to us & has done an even better coordination from then on.

5 days before my wedding, my total no. of tables has increased from the initial 20 tables to 22 tables! You cld imagine my stress at that point of time after all my relatives have finalized their attendance with my parents. I only booked the Grand Ballroom 1+2 that cld hold a max of 21 tables! I msg Danielle & she assured me everything wld be fine & she wld sort it out for me when she get bk to the office d nxt day. The next day, she quickly called me & told me she wld open up Ballroom 3 for me but all the table no. wld have to change. You can imagine how relieved I was to hear from her. She is definitely my saviour!

On the actual day, we are supposed to have our solemnization before our dinner at the waterfall pavilion & Danielle came up to me & asked why I did not select a song for the march in to the pavilion. I told her I din know I cld do so as it is outdoors & she immediately got my banquet manager in-charge Tommy to prepare a song for my march-in (happening in 10mins).

D banquet manager for my dinner reception, Tommy is another wonderful help! He is patient & professional to all our needs. My hub told me Tommy is always prompting him on the next course of action but never pushy. He also ensures the special meals requested are properly served to correct guests & also check on our well-being through-out the night. He is a GEM!

The food is awesome & everyone loves the PI PA DUCK, PAN FRIED COD FISH & d JAPANESE SYTLE FRIED NOODLES.

As it was a 15th, quite a few of my relatives had vegetarian meals. They also commented the food was great & they enjoyed it alot!

I probably have only 1 complaint which is their bridal suite. It is pretty old n nothing to look forward to! Perhaps cos' my hub & I travelled so often, we had a higher expectation of their suites. Instead, it was a letdown.

Overall, we would still give Sheraton a THUMBS UP for the wonderful experience we had!

(Unfortunately, Danielle has also left ST for better prospects as well after our wedding.)

For all that are asking about waiver of rental for their waterfall pavilion... I don't think they do any waiver cos' I also paid $500 for the usage for the waterfall pavilion.

thanks jc for the updates and review. felt good after your assurance! i signed up last week during the workshop and was happy!
i booked 20 tables too and had a chance of increasing, ryan was kind enough to reserve ballroom 3 for me to.

can you share your invitation card printing? price and address?

Hi Garagling, I used American Treasures as recommended by ST & I paid approximately $200+ for 168 cards. It's alittle ex cos I had additional accessories for my wedding invitations. The svc is pretty good n prompt from American Treasures. I would recommend just taking their printing svcs if you are getting the invitations from them. We don't see a huge diff in pricing as we did approach other vendors for their printing quotation.

Hi everyone...

Im deciding between sheraton and pan pacific for wedding lunch. Can anyone share the additional perks given during wedding show held in aug? I missed it
