Park Green

Hi all,
Something came to my mind and I have to share.. does any one out there feel that the balcony in the bedroom/living room on alternate flrs arrangement is a little dumb? What if we have an inconsiderate neighbour living upstairs (unless yours is a penthouse
lame.gif
) who throws litter from his/her unit and we will end up having litters in our balcony
sad.gif

hi carol, hopefully everyone will be considerate enuf not to litter downwards! Am more concerned abt the layout - the balconies are side by side for alot of the units - not much privacy for when we sit outside for a meal or with a book...

Hi Carol and Limay

The balcony in the living room is also bigger than those in the bedroom. Limay, the next time you are at the balcony, you can say hi to me, my unit is below yours....

Melodie,
Most prob not gg to the fair cos i have oredi decided on my ID and things like sofa, and bed are bought.

Carol,
I am not too concerned bout the balcony :p Think my hubb will the one gg out there to take a breather :p

Also, adding on to Carol's qtns -

We hv already gotten most of our furniture. What is the extent of flexibility to your package - ie. swap the carpentry works for wall features etc..?

Also, i understand that the computer graphic drawing ($90) is for the entire unit?
Cheers

For those who are interested, there will be a Philips Carnival Sale next weekend, 11-12 Sept, 9.30am-5pm.

You can find products ranging from TVs, Audio Systems, DVD Players, MP3 Players, Home Theatre Systems, PC Monitors, Light Bulbs, Shavers, Hairdryers, Iron, Vacuum Cleaners, Toasters, Juicers, Kettles, Blenders, Mobile Phones, Digital Cordless (DECT) Phones, Residential CCTVs at the sale.

What's more, for the first time, baby products such as Baby Monitor, Room & Bath Thermometer Set, Bottle Warmer, Magic Theatre & In Touch Address Recorder will be offered. To top it off, you can opt for the 0% interest free instalment plan for your purchases.

The prices shld be attractive, so I might pop down for a look. But I will be wary in my purchases there as I had bad experiences after buying from their carnival sale. Both my TV and VCR which I bought there some yrs back spoilt right after the expiry of 1-yr warranty

Oops! It's an oversight. Forgot to mention the venue.

It's at their factory/office area at Philips Electronics Singapore, 620A Lorong 1 Toa Payoh

hi soon to be neighbours, i m happy to find this forum on park green as i also bought a unit there.
any lastest news on the TOP yet?

Yo neighbours out there,
Anyone saw the Tangs promo today? A LG front-loading washer is selling only at $72 with a $488 purchase. Only 72 sets available, those interested pls go grab. I've got mine liao, though dunno if the washer is gd or not
lame.gif

For those who are interested to get WMF wok, pots and pans, Tangs also having great discounts on those items. I bought a wok with steamer tier and a set of pots at $129 and $99 respectively. Great buy!
biggrin.gif

Hey Carol,
u got a front load? was just thinking of a 6-7kg top load type...LG fuzzy logic or something...
happy.gif
If there are only 72 units, I am sure they are all abt sold off by now!

Wow Carol, you've got yourself many good deals
happy.gif
Do you know when will the sale ends?

Btw, haven't been to PG for sometime liao. Workers' quarters still there? Are they still working on the landscaping?

Hi Fanta and Limay,

When I went bought mine, there were still 20 sets left (at 2pm). But I just called Tangs up to check and they told me "no more already"
sad.gif

The washer is 5.5kg (though I find it a little too small for my mattress proctector). I called up LG showroom to check on that model and they told me this is a relatively new model (and Tangs selling it at $72?!!).

I have been using top-loading all this while but read that front loading is less harsh on clothes, more efficient, saves water, blah blah.. but the down side of it is that it uses only low-suds detergent (which is more ex) and you cannot "hasten" the washing cycle unlike top-loading one. So I was still struggling to decide which one to buy but now since I got it at such an attractive price, I can't say anything bad about that washer
lame.gif

Fanta,
If you asking about the WMF pots and pans, I think they should still have lots of stocks (all just came in today). You have Tangs card? Can get further 8% rebate for every $10 spent. Citibank cardholders get 6%
happy.gif

I dun think I saw the workers' quarters when I took the LRT just now... there's water sprouting into the pool
bounce.gif

fanta

I passed by last night and the workers' quarters are still there. The landscape is still the same.

Looks like project has not been completed if workers' quarters still around. Dunno can obtain TOP in Sept or not. Saw in Nuovo thread that they just obtained TOP after such a long wait. Juz pray that we dun have to wait that long.

Carol, you know I'm interested in pots & pans dun you? It's definitely worth buying with further rebate but I've got no time to shop these few days. Hope the sale won't end so soon
biggrin.gif

Hi all,

Yesterday I received a letter from my lawyer that stage 2F have completed & now going to Stage 3A. Did most of u recevie it from your lawyer?

Hey Fanta,
The WMF sale is out in the papers today. The set of pots I bought is shown in the papers. Check them out before popping to Tangs. There should be plenty of stocks unless every household in PG is rushing there to buy!
lol.gif

Did anyone see the full-page ad on the Four Stars mattress? 50%+20% off?? I wonder how much the mattress cost..

Hi Fanta & Alvin

They are targeting end of this month. Worst case scenario is that the first tranche of keys should be releasing mid to end Oct.

I have received notice that my bank has just disbursed the payment for stage 2E & 2F.

Hi Carol

What is WMF?

I dun care... I want to spend my X'mas in my new nest this yr!!
sad.gif
They better give us our keys asap!

KaRo,
WMF is a German brand (I think) carrying pots and pans, cutleries, knives etc. They are VERY expensive (I realised ALL German brand stuffs are EX!)

But I was telling Fanta that there are some irresistible offers from WMF that we have to buy (since many of us out there need pots and pans). The only complaint I have about WMF is that their handles are made of stainless steel. They shld make the handles with insulating material so we dun get burnt accidentally
sad.gif

Hey Carol,
Dont think the handles will get hot - if you examine the pots closely, u will see that there is gap btwn the handle and the pot, also the handles are hollow and air is a bad conductor - so shdnt get too hot unless u have it on the stove for ages!

Yah, am praying that we get the keys soon...our wedding is on the 18th Dec, so we are hoping to get it all ready & furnished before that - then frens attending the wedding from overseas can come visit...wont be seeing them for abit after that! **fingers crossed**
sad.gif

Oh, btw - we just booked our honeymoon!
happy.gif

Going to NZ - north & south islands for 16 days...people who have been there - do u hv any suggestions on what are must sees/do?
happy.gif

Hi Roooller,
You mean there's one w/o handles?! I hope I've got the one with handles (blur me!!) cos I didn't take a very good look as I was shopping in a rush yesterday!

Limay,
NZ is a wonderfully nice country with scenic views! I haven't been there yet but hope to go one of these days! My sil went there 2 wks for honeymoon too. You're on F&E trip? Self-drive?

the WMF sales are definitely attractive. But my mum oredi got a set of Zebra pots and pans. So i guess i can save the $$ too.

Yday, i went to see the Osim Iecologi...wah the functions seem so wonderful!!

Limay

I have only been to South Island. Very scenic route if you travel by car/coach from Christchurch to Queenstown. Queenstown is full of activities and so you may not want to miss the fun...bungee etc.

Hi Ah Eng,

I saw a set of Zebra pots on sale too, selling at $72. I was deciding between WMF and that Zebra set but bought WMF becos the covers come in glass (can see through)and it's at such a ridiculously low price!

I was making enquiries about the Osim vacuum cleaner yesterday too! It was sooo expensive that it's out of my budget. Sometimes I think Osim stuffs are highly priced. I will read up more (reviews) on that i-Ecologi before deciding if I should consider further in getting it. Dun trust what the staff told me... they can tell you anything just to make you buy
sad.gif

Ka Ro, hubb saw some workers painting the fence overall again just now. Why huh? Need so many coats of paint? Or workers nothing to do liao?

Yeah Carol, we all hope to spend our Christmas at PG, can even plan for a Christmas party to celebrate!

Hopefully Tangs carry enough WMF stocks. Demand will surge after we talked so much about it
bounce.gif

Hi Everyone

For those who are on a spending spree this month (for honeymoon, furnitures and appliances etc) and happen to hold a HSBC credit card, you are entitled to a 25% rebate (subject to a max of $1K) if you charge to your HSBC card everyday in the month of Sep.

2 days had already passed. Unless the person has charged to his/her HSBC card the past 2 days, then can continue charging and seize that 25% discount! If not, too bad, it's too late
lame.gif

Fanta

From what I see, the white colour paint coating on the surrounding fence is not very even and that there are visible lines that look like "crackling" lines before we even shift in. I reckon what they are painitng now could be a touch-up or final coating.

I am flying to Japan for tour this November, visiting Osaka, Mt Fuji & Disneyland. People say Japan is an expensive place. What is worth buying there?

Ka Ro, hopefully this is the last finishing touch they need to do before handing over to the developer
happy.gif
Just of curiousity, you will pass by PG everyday?

hehe...we sound like marketing people for WMF!
are the Osim vacuums worth splurging on? Was thinking of getting a weekend maid to come clean, then would not be worth getting an expensive vacuum...but if we have to clean up after ourselves, then better to get something user friendly & effective!

Hey Carol & Ka Ro, yes - we are doing the self-drive, spending about 5 days up north & 11 days in South Island..the package includes the air tixt, accomodation & car rental, and some 1/2 day package tours. Didnt want anything too structured, v sad to have to share meals with all the kids & aunties and uncles in a packaged tour on your honeymoon! Think we will give bungee jumping a miss, but yah, adding on stuff like hotair balloon rides etc! hehe...

Carol,
we had a hands-on session on the IEcologi...real cool...the price really burst our budget too...but the salesman really said something tat makes our heart itch..ie it is good for cleaning mattress when our kids vomit or wet the bed..hahaha!!!

Hi limay,

I am going to see Sam at 3pm..
happy.gif
Hope he come out with the proposal. Coz last week i called him he is not ready yet.. :P

Hi carol,

I bought WMF from Robinsons for $99 at the set of four.. The prce is really good i can say, worth buying. The only difference is those made in Germany they don't give disc a lot. So i believe the $99 is made from Asia
happy.gif

Hi Guys,

Have not been here for such a long time, glad that the Park Green thread is hotter than ever! For those who are new, I'm also a proud owner here!

Went to the condo opposite Park Green the other day and managed to take a good look at the pool. The palm gallery is all done up, pool is filled and Jacuzzi is working
happy.gif

Saw that a lot of you are looking for IDs. I have already confirmed one and signed the contract. The reason why i confirmed her is because she can offer me many new ideas and the material used and workmanship is very good. She will also be able to help me check for defects and chase for rectification, which is why i confirmed her now so that she can start doing her work as soon as I get my keys, I'm really really short of time here.

For those who wants some contacts, can PM me and let me know, not sure if i can post contacts here and in anycase, i dun check the forum often ;P Besides my ID, I also have another contact. Price is lower but design is more basic.

Hope that Park Green TOP ASAP with minimal defects!

Hi Rachel,
Oh, didn't know that those that we bought are from Asia? Hmm, we will know whether the Asia-made pots are on par or inferior to those made in Germany after we start using them...The promoter told me the handles come with 10yr guarantee...so handles won't come off while you cook
