Hi Jas, Michelle, Pearl and SweekK, that's the spirit! I believe there nothing in this world that cannot be done, the only key is how you get the things to be done. Pan Pac hotel was the one who broke our trust and faith in them thus being their customers, you gals have every rights to put things right. I will support u gals and to waste the money in the banquet prices is really not worth it. The money should be use for a good honeymoon trip!!
Ocean ballroom I seen before.. not that low.. but if u look at more hotel ballrooms.. u will find ocean ballroom ceiling is in the middle.. if u can meet min table for Pacific ballroom.. I believe u will prefer there if within ur budget. I never seen Swissotel Merchant Court ballroom.. it's not in my 18 hotels.. lolz..
i signed w PP last nov 08 also and was so shock recently c all urs post.. even can't believe that till i heard from PP staff confirm the nett price. I call my coordinator today and she say get back to me tmr.. i will keep all of u update and i don mind go down w u all together for nego...

Becos you are so pissed when you mentioned in year 08, when you checked out with Pan Pac the rates for yr end 09, the total price amounted to almost $1400/- per table! So much you wanted to have your wedding venue to be hold at Pan Pac, and you asked for perks at the wedding show but nothing could be extended to you.
So did you give in and sign with Pan Pac back then ?

Hi Sweetk, I never signed up with PP in the end because I feel it was a bit pricey at $1400/- per table. But if not for the sales coordinator who die die said PP would not dropped their banquet prices, I would have waited......

Wow.. looks like u have a high budget.. Shearton Towers is something like "L" shape right.. very nice but exp.. and if i am not wrong.. u cannot meet the min tables too(correct me if i am wrong) unless weekdays..
PP Pacific ballroom is special because of the lighting effects on the ceilings(multi colour).. as for Ocean.. nothing special..
now everyone talking about PP is because of the pricing.. lolz..

Me & my hubby have just signed up Pan Pacific for our wedding June 2010 at the wedding show today
We estimated our guest list to be around 32 tables, so we opted for the ocean ballroom. Everything seems good enough for us in the package. 2 barrels beer, 1 wine/table, 5 star hotel. but a pity that the ocean ballroom's ceiling is a bit low. Hee. If higher a bit, it would b perfect!
The themes that we saw looks good. My hb says its ok for a low ceiling, in fact it felt cosier. and theres a v long march in. The lady who showed us around says we can prepare a 4min song if we want. Hee. The screens are at the sides, so those sitting at the back also can see the video montage.

so its 3 themes in all...correct me if I am wrong? The classic white & gold, the dreamy effect with pearls and pink roses and the elegant black & red themes?
4 themes in all. yupz. we prefer the feel of the white and blue too.
the bird cage themes usually looks nice (frm what i c in other hotels), but for pan pac case, the color combinations too dark le. my hb says replace the bird cage with a pumpkin can b halloween night liao. hee

Me and my bf have also signed up with PP at yesterday's wedding show. We hv opted for Pacific Room (min 38 tables) as my bf side has more guests
As for the themes, my bf like the black & red whereas I prefer the white & blue... will hv to try to convince him... heehee...

Hi kelly, i am ocean bride too.. u mention the LCD projector at the side is that mean we set the stage at corner (ocean 1 or 5) still able to get two projector front and back sides? don mind explain more details

I went for the wedding show too..
At first i find that the black and Red is nice but tend to get bored and dull after awhile.
moreover the elders might not prefer the black table/chair cover... does anyone noe that we can change the black to white table/chair cover?
The one displayed at Pacific Ballroom is not bad too. Is the theme- white and Gold?

I emailed to them to ask about the packages, just nice it was 2-3 weeks b4 the show, and so they informed me abt it lor.
Actually i feel that the nett price pkg doesnt have additional perks during the wedding show.
Its only the more expensive package - the dazzle pkg, which is 1088++? nt sure of the price coz i find it too ex, so nv look at it. only the dazzle pkg have some perks from UOB credit cards.

oh.. i found that i actually signed the package on 5 Mac 09. and i did ask her about the theme. Linda, my coordinator, said that it has not been finalised yet. We did ask her is there any wedd dinner or show recently so that we can have a look at the settings, but she didn't mention about the show at all =(
