wow.. tentative tik ur will b nearest if not wrong. im having mine end of Dec time.

im tiking weather to take up a guest room which is connected to the bridal suite. anyone taking? any ideal hw much issit?

hehe..i have already done my food tasting on July..actually nothing much to choose..just choose the best can already..alot of my friends said anyway on AD..food might not be as gd as the food tasting..i took shark fins..chicken, prawns..yam ring with scallop..vegies..then yam paste dessert..

ohh paiseh i had my food tasting on May..keke..coz at the same time to let both parents discuss abt the 'ping jin' etc..tat's why so early..maybe 2mths in advance ba?? so they can prepare the ingredients???

chris, wanna chk wit u last time OCC told me FT will b at the restaurant but now the old restaurant no longer there, so any ideal FT will b hold where? i dont tik will b at peach garden as we didnt opt for their menu.

hi piggylover..our FT was at Vanda Terrace..downstairs area..i dont know whether it's call restaurant or wat?? but the place is for ppl to eat those buffett porridge..it's an opened area..opp u can see ppl playing golf..but it's super hot ah..no aircon..then a big fan blowing us..haha

i personally tried the dish cook by the old restaurant last time, very nice! not sure if the new group okay.

i'm not sure why they never give us indoors or coz those are already occupied or the kitchen is nearer to Vanda Terrance..hehe

we never take jap octopus for the cold dish..coz it's not very tempting ..

Cold dish - jelly fish, seafood toufu, lemon chicken, prawns salad, bbq gold coin chicken (all still ok)

Shark fin soup with crab meat n fish maw (still ok)

Steamed live garoupa with soy sauce (still ok)

Deep fried scallop coated with mashed yam (very special and yummy)

Baked prawns with chicken floss (prawns very big)

Braised chicken with 8 treasures (chicken very big & special..meat very tender, all the 8 treasures are inside the chicken)

Tiesin cabbage top with dried scallop (the only vegies with dried scallop..scallop more ex)

Braised Ee Fu noodles with ham & mushrooms (still ok)

Hot yam paste (originally we took honeydew with sago, but think yam paste will be better)

but FT is always yummy..when AD..might not be tat gd..

chris, thanks so much for sharing! me n htb is worry as actually MIL wanna to get outside ppl to cook but aft dicussing wit her, the food frm the restaurant (old) is nice but ended the close n move to other place. hopefully everything will gd during my FT ba. haha.. =)

hehe..ya i think the wasabi prawns is very nice..something diff from those cereal prawns etc..but coz the menu also have seabass in it..so have to cancel it..i never went to their wedding show..it was my HTB who recommend it..keke

Hi Chris, Thanks for your advice. My parents were not very happy with the new menu mainly because of the fish too otherwise all other dishes sounds good and "new".

Just wondering which theme did you all choose for the ballroom? I was given 3 themes but I did not get to see each theme as Karen cant seem to send the pictures to me and somemore I am overseas so am anxious now..cause I cant even tell which is nice.. haiz..

Hi Christina..

we also saw the theme from the pics Karen showed to us in her file..we choose the Starry nite..background is full of lights..instead of the two other themes..with big heart shape flowers behind..think with a "XI" word inside the heart shape flowers also..looks very cheezy to us..hehe

Hi Colin, OCC pkg does not include printing insert, jus the card itself. they will recommend their printer agent.

we made a deposit $5k to them..then think the remaining will ask the credit card centre to increase our usage to pay OCC..coz remaining abt 5 digits also..if not use cheque ba..

I have received OCC 2010 package. I am looking at having a vegetarian wedding banquet, so the package maybe different from the norm. The vegetarian food will be prepared by outside caterer.

i took the middle price rang for inhouse one..the dish either salty or the display of it does not look presentable..the way it describe the wish does not tally with the dish itself...

u mentioned u went peach garden to taste the food already? is it for wedding dishes?

as mentioned earlier..we didnt take Peach Garden (8 dishes) coz they got seabass (cheapo fish) and they are charging us the same amt as compare to Yishun Lake 9 dishes..so we insist to take back Yishun but Karen said it will be cooked by their in hse chef (which is from Mingjiang restaurant b4)..i think should be like tat ba?? But my sis said Peach garden food is nice..but as in go there makan normal food..not for wedding..

Hi Wendy..i think most weddings chairs are also using white..or ivory gold..so that u and ur VIP can also stand out from the crowd also..

The FT we went..all the food is nice eh..as u can see from my upper post..but i dont know abt AD also ah..scare too salty blah blah..
