My BS actually offered to provide the wrist corsages for me, but they say I have to return them the wrist corsages together with our gowns & suits after the wedding. I find it funi lor! Anyway it doesnt matter la...so I've decide to purchase the corsages for my jie meis, at least they can keep it mah...just a small token from me at least (besides the ang baos la) Hehehe.

Return the corsages to them after use? That means their corsages dunno recycle how many times liao. Eeee.... dunno got wash or not.... all the sweat from previous users. Give me FOC I also dun wan ah.
I make them for you lah... charge you cheap cheap. Haha!!! Confirm new ribbons. No need to give back after using.. no worries on smelly sweat from many different users cause only my sweat on it only. Haha!!!

Then if you think you would like to buy more from me, must let me know liao. Got to start working out the cost and see if my garderner can catch anymore butterflies for me or not. Hahaha!!!

So far, I have yet to hear a bad review on NCQ. As far as I have been following this thread, the BTB (past or present) only seems to have good feedback on them. Even friends whom I had spoken to had also give good feedbacks to NCQ. That's why I decided to go with it.
But most impt factor is the BTB here all very friendly, nice and helpful. They have also given me alot of advise when I am still making my decision to choose NCQ or not.
They told me to ask for more carpark coupon, more invites and helpers room (unsuccessful at this).
My coordinator is Huiling or sometime Jamie if she's not around. Both are pretty helpful but sometime slow in replying your email and rather rigid. That's my own opinion. Doesn't represent all the BTB here.

Oh.. I finally went to sign the contract & pay the deposit yesterday. So happy.. brought my camera along to take picture of the ballroom, reception area and the bridal suite. It's so big that I cannot contain the whole area into one picture.
When I went into the suite, I keep saying very happy very happy... then my HTB look at Huiling & say can sign the paper now.. no need to talk anymore. Haha!!!

Then today was the last straw for him as he called to enquire when will be the wedding show and she said don't know but when I called her, she told me a guage...
We like NCQ and are waiting for the wedding show... but my SO has requested for a change in co-ordinator. Other than Huiling, who can I look for?

Was with her last night. She was ok and polite. Even went to the extend to get the security to open the ballroom for me to see again when I make the request on the spot.

hi Mindy, hmmm maybe huiling's attitude is like this one. But i find her quite ok le... some ppl were saying Jamie's attitude not so good though. Maybe just happen that when u rang up, she is not so busy so can roughly give u a guage... but other than that, she is quite helpful. I've had great experience with her, i went down abt 2 to 3 times and basically keep requesting to view the room, the bridal room and so on, and she did it very willingly....

Yeah quite worried about the AD too. Saw other forums quite alot of pple worried about AD due to waiting for tong shu. We dun wish to contact geomancer, as it's quite expensive (Abt $50) per date. We thought of getting someone whom we know in temple to check out our ba zi and tong shu, thus waiting for the tong shu to come out. Heard that it will come out soon (mayb this mth or aug). Hope that it will be before the lunar 7th mth, then we can fix AD soon and book the hotel

hi all, just to check with anyone of u. whether anyone hv change from the Cinnamon room to Phoenix room b4 for this yr 2007. coz, when i sign up with jamie early this yr. she told me that the min. for the Phoenix is 35 tables, however, for 2008 the min is 30 only. thought of changing fm Cinnamon to Phoenix. but 35 tables is a lot for me n my hb. 30 tables shld be juz nice. hai ... headache ... mine is on 21-Dec-2007 (crybaby)

Can anyone tell me whether we are to approach the wedding card vendor on our own? Or have to go thru NCQ? Suppose to start printing cards end of next month. But hope to do so earlier so that will not be so busy during the final 3 mths. Or am I too gan jiong? Hehehe.

I think it's ok to drop by the printer early to get ur invites done early. It's always better to prepare early ya (unlike me
)? Think you can drop ur co-ordiantor an email to inform her that you'll wanna head down to the prnter.
It's rather easy: all you have to do is choose a design that u n FH like, give them both ur chinese name (in chinese characters) n not forgetting ur parents and FIL. Choose the col of the invites, envelopes, and some cute graphics & lastly ribbons/strings.
The printer will come up with the artwork for your approval within 24 hrs, and once approved, they will proceed with the print & everything will be ready for collection withing one - two weeks.

Anyway, auntie offer to re-print them for us. Lucky my office near there, she said we could collect them b4 6pm, but lazy mi, din go la. Think I'll get them next week.

Thanks for your advice! Sure that I will go ahead and contact the printer once I have all the chinese characters ready.
So how many cards and inserts did u get all in all? I am planning to get extra cards at additional costs. Cos I duno whether my MIL will need a lot.... Haiz.... The inserts are in batches of hundred?

I think it would be better to get Jamie for the card printing contact.. and at the same time tell her that u gonna do the printing.. this will let her know that u are going for the printing, she can make arrangement too... after that u can call the printer directly to make appointment... this is what i did..
If u are using them to do the inserts printing, then get your name and Father's name ready.. if u got some ideas for your invites, u can bring it down too.. like what Vanilla mentioned...

Hi Cheekebee.. NCQ will send u a list on what do to when yr wedding date is nearer.. I think it might be better to plan yr food tasting date yrself and inform them.. don wait for them to call u...

It's better to have a rough gauge on how many tables you & ur FH have, and calculate the no. of invites you required. As for you parents & in-laws, you may wanna ask them how many they need before deciding to print extras..
Upon negotiation, NCQ will usually advise you the percentage of invites you'll be entitled, according to the no. of tables you have. For my case, I have 280 cards for 30 tables, which is definitely enough. The printer will usually give you some extras, cos they cant possibly count 'zhun zhun'. I paid $150 for the inserts & top up for ribbons.
