Master David Tong's Advice Corner (Geomancy and Fengshui)

Hi Master Tong,

I'm wondering if 18 Nov 2010 or 24 Nov 2010 is a good date for our customary wedding (to be held with solemnisation)?

Groom : Dragon (Nov 1976)
Groom's Dad : Horse (Dec 1930)
Groom's Mum : Pig (Jan 1948)

Bride : Ox (Mar 1985)
Bride's Dad : Tiger (Oct 1950)
Bride's Mum : Dragon (Mar 1952)

Thanks Master Tong!

Hi peili,

Here are some general weekend dates you can use:

- 13/11, 18/12, 26/12

Note that Bazi is not taken into consideraton yet. A good tong shu date can still be deemed inauspicious if the date is not compatible with both your Bazi.

Hope this helps

Hi elizabeth wong,

5/6 Feb 2011 (within CNY Period)
12/13 Feb 2011 (within CNY period)
19/20 Feb 2011 (19th clash to Pig, cannot use. 20th clash to Rat. Cannot use)
26/27 Feb 2011 (26th does not clash to anyone. 27th is a bad day for wedding)

Hence only 26th Feb 2011 does not clash to anyone. However, the tong shu is not out yet, so i can't check if this is a general good tong shu till it is out sometimes next yr Jul/Aug period. Right now, the only way to do it will be using Bazi for wedding dates selection.

Hope this helps

Pls advise whether to look out for any taboos. Thanks. ;)

Hi Michelle Goh,

I will need both of you and your parents animals signs.

Anyway, this is not a good date for wedding by itself, so you can choose a better day.

Hi vanilla04

Yes generally 1 year is enough, no need 3 yrs.

Here are some weekend dates you can use:

- 13/11, 14/11, 18/12,

Note that these are general tong shu dates only. Bazi is not taken into consideration yet.

Master Tong.. HELP!

Can I know the good and auspicious dates in June and Dec of 2010 and 2011 for my Church wedding? Can I also know what are dates to avoid? Some details below.

Groom: Dog(1982)
Groom dad: Ox (1960)
Groom mum: Goat (1955)

Bride: Dog(1982)
Bride dad: Goat (1955)
Bride mum: Goat (1955)

Thank you very very much!!!

Hi shanawawa,

Here are some general tong shu june and dec 2010 dates you can use:

- 05/06, 09/06, 17/06, 29/06, 01/12, 07/12, 18/12, 26/12

For 2011 dates, the tong shu is not out yet and the only way and authentic way to do it now will be using Bazi to select 2011 dates. Normally by the time the tong shu is out next year July/Aug period, it will be too late as most of the venues (esp the hot ones) will already be taken up.

For dates to avoid, there are tons..so i can't possibly give them all here...as a general rule, so long as it is not the auspicious dates listed above, the rest you can avoid (note that Bazi is not taken into consideration yet).

Hope this helps

Dear all,

I will be conducting a second run of the Wedding Feng Shui Seminar on the 14th November 2009 (Next Saturday) at SMU. This is the last week of registration and there are couple of seats left. So hurry
happy.gif

This seminar is unique in a way that the contents are specially designed and catered for couples who are getting married soon. As far as I know, we are the pioneers in this field and my aim is to address and answer all your doubts so that at the end of this 4 hours seminar, you will leave fully prepared, knowing what to do for your wedding. You will have a clear idea what is a must to do for your wedding and what is a superstition, which if not followed, will not affect your marriage.

You will also gain a full understanding how authentic Feng Shui and Bazi works and how it can help you in changing your destiny and daily lives. I will also show you techniques on how you can select a property on your own. Some of these techniques are worth its weight in gold, if you apply them. Getting it wrong in the first place will bring disasterous results to the feng shui of your house. You will also learn tips and tricks on face reading and palmistry to understand a person's character, which can be used to improve relationship.

For full details about this seminar, check out the "Upcoming Events" section on my website at www.cmgconsulting.com.sg. For a more detailed outline of what is covered, check out the September & October secton of my blog on my website.

Another thing, is the not-attending-relatives-wedding-3-months-before-and-after thing accurate?

Both shouldn't attend each other's wedding if not bad things might happen to the couple?

Hi Master Tong,

I originally planned my chinese wedding on 13-Mar-2010. But my sister in-law will give birth to her first baby on 3-Mar-2010. Will it clash with my wedding?

Hi shanawawa,

Yes. It is a Chinese belief that you should not attend other people's wedding, funerals/wakes and child birth 3 months before and after your own wedding.

Hi Tan Huey Fung,

Yes it is within 3 months of your wedding. So according to Chinese belief, you should not visit her during child birth or the full month celebration

Hope this helps

Hi gg tan,

It depends on what you are asking for in the first place. I've only helped you to filter off the bad dates. The remaining are the good dates for wedding purpose.

Hope this helps

Hi macadamia3050,

I can only help you for Jan 2011 as you will need the tong shu for Feb 2011 and it is not out yet.

Here are some dates you can use:

- 06/01, 12/01, 15/01, 18/01, 30/01

Hope this helps

Hi Yenny,

As that date was determined by another master, i don't know if he uses tong shu or Bazi to determine the dates, so i can't comment much on the date selected and if you should select another date again.

However, wedding dates selection is independent of "pantang-ness", beliefs, culture or superstition. The birthday months thingy rule does NOT hold in wedding dates selection. But if your parents insist (coz it is real hard to change the perspective of the elderly), i would suggest doing it just to make them happy
