Hi Jen and W3n,

You are welcome

Hi Faith,

As much as i want to help you for 2011 dates, the tong shu for 2011 is not out yet (out sometimes next Jul/Aug period) and for using Bazi calculation of dates, I cannot provide it free here in the forums as i do charge for it as it is part of my consultation service; if not it will be unfair to my clients. Hope you understand.

If you only wish to get general auspicious dates for 2011, I can only do it after the tong shu is out next year. Else if you have a few specific dates in 2011 that you wish to check if it clashes to any of you or if that is a bad date, i can check it for you.

Btw, i don't need you to provide me with the chinese lunar birth dates. You can post your english birthdays will do as Feng Shui, Bazi or wedding dates selection don't use the lunar calendar (that is a common misconception!). We use the Solar Calendar or "Wan Nian Li", and this is usually converted from your English birthdays.

Hope this helps

Hi Master Tong

Is there anything i can do if my AD is in conflict with my sister's animal sign? She happens to be my jiemei as well and she would like to participate in the gatecrashing fun too...=(

Bride's Bro - Dragon
Bride's Cousin - Rabbit (Living together)

Groom to be - Monkey
Groom's Dad - Dog
Groom's Mum - Frog
Groom's Bro - Dragon

Hi Valerie,

One way to "work around" will be that she can "hide" when the groom arrives. She will miss out first part of the gatecrash but after the groom steps in, she can come out and "play game" before the groom enters the bride's room. So she get to "play game" as well

Anyway, this is a Chinese superstition so it is really up to you if you want to follow or not. But generally wedding is such an important event, i will still advise you to folow if you can, else you should not use this day.

Hope this helps

Hi gg tan,

Here are the analysis for your dates:

15/5/2010 - General tong shu good date and dont clash to any of you.
29/5/2010 - General tong shu good date and don't clash to any of you
18/9/2010 - General tong shu good date and don't clash to any of you

As for which month, I need to check both your Bazi so I can't do it here as Bazi wedding dates selection is part of my consultation service. Hope you understand and hope this helps

Hi Vivias,

Yes you are right. Bazi wedding dates selection dont take into acct the tong shu. Tong shu is meant for mass consumption only. It doesn't take into account both your Bazi so a good date in tong shu can still be considered bad for both of you if it don't fit your Bazi.

Hi Michelle,

Guess what? Only 31 Dec 2009 is a general tong shu date and dob't clash to any of you. the rest either clashes or not a general tong shu good date

Hope this helps

Hi Sandara,

Not sure if you know, the groom is born in year of Monkey, so it is not advisable to get married in 2010 as Tiger and Monkey clashes. Ideally it should not be held in 2010.

Hope this helps

Hi master tong,

generally what are the auspicious timings required besides:
- groom to fetch bride
- bride to step into groom's home
- complete tea ceremony with groom's parents

Is an auspicious timing to light the nuptial lamps required?

My wedding date is 16 jan 10 and both of us are born in the year of pig.

What are the auspicious timings for the day?

Hi Eve,

You need timing for Fetch The Bride on the actual day as well as your ROM timing to sign the documents (if u ROM same day).

>Is an auspicious timing to light the nuptial >lamps required?

Timing for this is not required. Not to worry.

My wedding date is 16 jan 10 and both of us are born in the year of pig. What are the auspicious timings for the day?

For Fetch The Bride, you can use 0900hrs - 1059hrs for this day.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tiffany Ly,

If you are looking at general tong shu dates, 17th June 2010 will be better as it is a general tong shu auspicious date and it clash to Dragon, which is none of you.

Hope this helps

Hi Ying Jie,

First, your parents animal signs are all wrong. 1952 should be Dragon yr. So your dad should be born in Dragon yr, and your mum in Rabbit year (coz she born in Jan).

Here are some general 2010 dates you can use:

- 04/11, 12/11, 13/11, 17/11, 24/11, 25/11, 06/12, 18/12

Note that these are tong shu good dates only. Bazi is not taken into consideration yet as a good tong shu can still be deemed inauspicious if the date is not compatible with both your Bazi.

Hope this helps

Hi Calamari,

Caesarian birth date cannot be calculated so simply! You cannot just simply choose a good day from the tong shu to give birth if you want to choose a good caesarian birth date. You will get it all wrong.

For such date selections, the Bazi (which is the year, month, day and hour of birth -> where the gynae will operate on you) must be calculated and taken into consideration.

Just to give you an example what i mean...for eg, i need to know first if the baby is a boy or a girl. If she is a girl, generally we must select a Bazi for her to such that she will have a loving husband, moderate career, and good luck the whole life (so that she may got chance to be a tai tai...every girl's dream..right? ;p). If a boy, we want to select a chart where he will have a very good career and wealthy, a good wife that will bring luck to him ("wang fu"), and good luck the whole life. And most importantly, they cannot "curse" the parents, that means, after they are born, they cannot bring bad luck to the parents. So you see, it is very complicated just to select a good date and time for him to be born and "own" the good Bazi chart.

Hence if you select just from the tong shu, you won't know what Bazi chart the baby has, so it is just as good as not choosing.

Hope this helps

Hi christabel,

Here are some 'general' good dates you can use from Sep - Oct 2010:

- 12/09, 13/09, 16/09, 18/09, 24/09, 25/09, 30/09, 06/10, 07/10, 23/10

Not that Bazi if 2 of you is not taken into consideration yet. This is a general date only.

Hope this helps

Hi aki83,

If the groom is still in contact with his dad etc, best is to take into consideration.

Both of you are not born in Monkey yr, so generally 2010 is ok for you to tie the knot. If you want to specifically check if the year is good or bad for marriage, then the only way to do it will be to check both your Bazi to determine which will be a better year. But for Bazi wedding dates selection, it is part of my consultation service and i do charge for it, or it will be unfair to my clients. hope you understand.

If you looking at 2010 dates, roughly what months you looking at?

Hi Shirlynn,

You mean the Tong shu (Chinese Almanac)? It was already out few months back.

For wedding dates selection using Bazi, it will be $100 nett as listed on my website. You can email me at [email protected] and i will provide you with more information.

Hope this helps

Hi Shirlynn,

I need the groom's parents animals signs as well.

For 2011, i guess you just have to follow your mum's wishes and do your wedding on other years. Sometimes, to be frank, it is hard to convince the elderly as most of them will not be able to differentiate between science/astrology and superstition. In my opinion, follow her wishes and make her happy

Hi Lara,

here are some general dates you can use:

- 12/11, 13/11, 17/11, 25/11, 29/11, 06/12, 07/12, 18/12, 10/01, 12/01, 14/01, 26/01

Note that these are general good dates only and Bazi is not taken into consideration yet.

Hope this helps

Dear all,

I will be conducting a second run of the Wedding Feng Shui Seminar on the 14th November 2009 (Saturday) at SMU. Seats are limited so do register early if you are keen

This seminar is unique in a way that the contents are specially designed and catered for couples who are getting married soon. As far as I know, we are the pioneers in this field and my aim is to address and answer all your doubts so that at the end of this 4 hours seminar, you will leave fully prepared, knowing what to do for your wedding. You will have a clear idea what is a must to do for your wedding and what is a superstition, which if not followed, will not affect your marriage.

You will also gain a full understanding how authentic Feng Shui and Bazi works and how it can help you in changing your destiny and daily lives. I will also show you techniques on how you can select a property on your own. Some of these techniques are worth its weight in gold, if you apply them. Getting it wrong in the first place will bring disasterous results to the feng shui of your house. You will also learn tips and tricks on face reading and palmistry to understand a person's character, which can be used to improve relationship.

For full details about this seminar, check out the "Upcoming Events" section on my website at www.cmgconsulting.com.sg. For a more detailed outline of what is covered, check out the September & October secton of my blog on my website.

Btw, there will also be another seminar on the 21st Nov call "Let's Talk About Feng Shui for Singles". This seminar is about Love, Romance and Relationship luck. So if you have friends who are singles, please help to spread the news to them
