26th Feb 2011 don't clash anyone. If you looking at only general dates, will have to wait for tong shu to be out to determine if it is a good day

19th March 2011 is a bad day for wedding.

Hi Maria Zenaida Danga ,

In Chinese belief, April is the month of the Qing Ming, and most people don't get married in this month due to superstitious reasons.

If you want to do it April, only April 10 &
April 17 are good dates for wedding (from your list), but 10th clash Monkey and 17th clash Rabbit, which is you and your parents, hence all these dates are not so suitable. The rest of the date are not general good dates for wedding.

Hi yt,

Tong Shu refers to the Chinese Almanac, part of the book is used to select general dates for all events. But it is for mass consumption only and not accurate (the date selection section). It is not personalised, for eg moving in and start reno..it didn't factor in your house direction. some houses facing certain direction (eg for 2010, house that face South cannot renovate or move in without selecting a special date to do so and this date cannot be selected from tong shu) whole yr cannot renovate or move in (unless special date is selected). If a tong shu date is used for this instance, 99% chance it will be wrong and this can activate the bad Qi in the house and bring bad luck to the occupants.

Here are some days you wanted(general tong shu dates..which i don't endorse using..) for move in:

- 25/03/2010
- 28/03/2010

April will hit Qing Ming month and nobody shift houses during that month.

Hi wei2_maru,

Ideally it should not clash as it could mean after marriage, the relationship between them will turn sour. You cannot really get around it. the only way will be to hide till the groom step into the house...

As much as i want to help you in the area of general good dates for year 2011, the Tong Shu for 2011 is not out yet, so i will not know or be able to select general Tong Shu auspicious date for wedding for 2011 yet. Right now, the only way and also the right and accurate way of doing it will be using Bazi to select dates. FYI, a date reflected auspicious in the Tong Shu may still be bad for both of you if the date chosen is not compatible wtih both your Bazi.

As for Bazi wedding dates selection, it is part of my consultation service to my clients, hence i can't provide it here free in the forum or it will be unfair to my clients who paid for my service. Hope you understand.

If you have any particular date in mind, just post it here. I can advise you if it is a bad day as there are some days that are definitely bad and cannot be used for marriage; and some days that will clash to either of you or your parents, so cannot be used as well.

Hi Vivian,

For her, if her family is very traditional, she should not attend wedding for 1 yr as a mark of respect for the deceased. But if her family not so traditional, some practice 3 months. So long as it is more than 3 mths, it is ok.

Yes that is correct. After your hubby steps in, she can come out already. This is coz it is believed that if they see each other before the groom steps in, next time their relationship will turn sour.

If the auspicious timing is from 7-9pm, is that the time when the groom needs to step into my hse? Does he need to leave my house within this time frame as well?

My AD is scheduled in Oct'10 but my mum passed away recently. What should I do now? Get married within 100 days? If so, do I need to proceed with Guo Da Li as well? How about the wedding cards? Do I still have to give the cards to relatives & friends?

Do we need to take in consideration for our other family members who will be attending the ROM with us?

Also, for customary, pls advise which is a good date this year for both Ox and Goat.

My husband and I are planning for customary in Y2011. We have not fix our date yet and currently looking for a 'shifu' to calculate the auspicious date for us. You've mentioned that 'tong shu' for 2011 is yet to publish, may I know then when is the suitable time for us to calculate the auspicious date?
My zodiac is rooster while my hubby snake. Y2011 clash with rooster, does that mean it's not good for me to hold our customary in that year?
Hope you can give me some advice.

Auspicious timing to fetch the bride will be 7am-9am. The groom will have to step into your house at 7am, fetch you back to his home and complete tea ceremony with his parents by 9am.

Yes 2011 will not be a good yr for you. 2012 might be better.

Using tong shu to select a date is incorrect. Tong Shu is too generic and for mass consumption only. A good date in tong shu is still considered inauspicious if the date is not compatible with both your Bazi.

To select a date using Bazi, it can be done anytime now. I've done so for many many couples for both 2011 and 2012 dates till now. And for 2011 dates, as far as i know, the Feb and March 2011 weekends banquet dates for hotels are filling fast!

by the time the tong shu is out in Jul/Aug, I believe most of the weekend dates in popular hotels would have been taken up for 2011.

Can you advise me for my An Chuang (Press Bed) and Guo Da Li date? I was told that there is a specific time and date for the An Chuang. And what do i have to do? My wedding date is 04.12.2010.
Groom: 15.02.1974
Bride: 29.09.1979

My bf's zodiac is rooster and mine is rat. I heard that next year is not a good year for rooster but does that mean we cannot get married next year? Is there anything that we can do to 'minimise' the clash?
