Indian wedding Services in Singapore

Hi Preethi,

I did not talk to the temple clerk i spoke with the man in charge of the r wedding hall. Maybe that was why you did not hear abt the VG/PG. If you are just engaging the priest to do your enagement i don't think they actually mentioned the VG/PG.

The VG/PG are part of a package if you choose to have your wedding in thier wedding hall.

Dear ladies
I see some of you looking for PG/VG
I used Andrew of The Edge Photography and his partner Raymond for videopgraphy. Their prices were $650 each for the evening and they covered my event from 5.30pm to 11.30pm. Very accomodating and professional gentlemen. The photos turned out wonderful too. If anyone's interested, I can email you their contact numbers.

Hi Everyone,

My FH and myself are planning to do engagement cum ROM in about 4-5 months.

I am looking for good photographers and Deco whose charge is affordable as well. I had seen those photographers advertised on the net. Their charges are above 500. On a tight budget and not sure of the price range for photographers.

Any suggestions??

Hi Ladies

I'll be having my temple wedding in Feb next year.

Was wondering if anyone can recommend a good MUA who does hair and saree tying as well. Thanks.

Woo!

Ok here goes:

I printed my invitations in JB. They have more variety in terms of design but are only slightly cheaper than the ones available in Spore.

My trad wedding was done in Veeramakaliamman temple and it was a sanadhi wedding. So i did not quite need the decoration. But honestly, i think vaanan from mayura does a great job at decorating.

My MUA was Shanti from Stylemart. She is a must have, esp if you are a dark skinned person. Her style is very natural, so you do not see red and pink eye shadows. I really liked it cos i did not want to look caked on my big day. And the photos show that i look pretty as myself and not with tonnes of make up on. But the caveat is, the price is a little steep.

My photographer and videographer were working pals of mine. They are professionals, because we are all in the publicity line. You can check out my photographer at alvinlimphotography.com. I did three videos in all: childhood photo montage, bridal photo montage and a wedding MTV. Both guys charged me $1.5k each. I think it was very worth it cos i could dictate what i wanted and they provided the professional touch. One advice is to hire Chinese photogs and videographers. They go for details, are early and stay throughout the event.

Sorry, I have not tried Creative Beauty. But frankly, i think they are a little too masthana-masthana for me.

One thing that helps is looking at wedding photos of others so that you can gauge what type of make up, deco, photog you are looking for.

You can add me on FB and take a look at my pics.
(bhavani babette). Hope this helps!

Rgds,

Bhav

Dear Ladies,

Anyone printing tradtional wedding cards in JB..please do not go to Rajiv Printers (Noble Traders) at No. 15 Jln Dhoby...v frustrating to deal with this husband-wife team..and they are dishonest as well!!!

Wanted to just warn you ladies...

Ok, i would really recommend my MUA as i took for my wedding, she is really good and you may go to her shop and look at her brides pics.

Her name stephanie, located at selegie hse, just beside menaka shop.

I called Shanti and she said she can only accommodate a trial like a month or two before the wedding itself. That really scares me as if I do not like her makeup, then I'll be stuck with no MUA! Any advice people? If you have any pictures of Shanti's makeup can email me at [email protected]? So far I have seen only one bride that used her and it looked so good!

Sabrina, I have never heard of Selvani. Is she good?

Hi Hot Chocolate, sithi vinayagar saree shop is long gone. they have closed dwn and hv been replaced by the current shop. Not sure of the name. well, if u r looking for designer sarees, u can try V2, Minora fashion and the latest studio Mumbai. their selections r nice....

Hi, I'm new to this forum and am really thrilled with all the helpful information you've been sharing here. Thank you! Can anyone please tell me how to get hold of Shanti, the make up artist?
And, is it safe to order indian/hindu wedding invitation cards from India and have the text printed over in Singapore? Are there any other good wedding card printers in Singapore besides Gemini? Grateful for your advice..

Hello ladies

I am terribly confused and muddled about all that has to be done for the wedding. I am not doing a traditional wedding but it would be great to find out from you guys where you would be holding your wedding dinners, bridal photoshoot and very importantly MUAs.

Appreciate all the help i can get!
