Hi Tomyam,

Who is your coordinator? I was charged $250 for the LCD. You mean they waiver the LCD for you? So good?

What type of baskets did they gave you to put the rose petals? I had intended to put rose petals on each tables. Did they give you the rose petals or your purchased them? WHere did you buy from?

Hi Tomyam,

I'll be holding my wedding dinner next year. Glad to hear that everything goes well for u.. How's the stage deco? Was the march in short cos I saw from the layout that it's quite short..

Talking abt carpark, I fully agree that parking is a problem..still dunno what to tell my guests..

Hi Tomyam,

You mentioned trading in the ice carving for the beer. How many more litres did they give u - 10L?
Those items that you bargain for are done in the meet up a few weeks prior to your actual day wedding rite? Thanks

Hi Tee,

Thanks for your reply. However, I had already booked with Hilton so it is too late! Anyway they had assured me that it is too not too bad but just want to confirm again.

Does anyone have free flow of beer for table above 40?

Hi MIA,

But I had already signed the contract with them. Initially we had only confirmed 30 tables but now we had abt 45 tables. Wonder whether they will still entertain us? Do u know when is the appropriate time to do so? During food testing?

Hi Eve,

Are u having your banquet at the Grand Ballroom?
Think u shd let them know that u have increase to 45 tables and ask them abt the beer thing ASAP..dun wait till food testing cos they may have to amend the contract if they decide to give u free flow..

Hi all

Does anyone know if Hilton provides any LCD projector for the slideshow or I have to rent it from somewhere else.

eve

you should give them a call now
the more tables you have
the more bargain power you have

why dont you ask them first if you
have that many tables
what are they going to offer you

act like you are forcing yourself 2 have
that many tables and make her promise those
FREE FLOW of BEER

no harm trying

good luck

Hello I'm also going to confirm my banquet with Hilton soon. But recently my friend told me that she had attended a wedding there and the sound system had problems during the march-in. Now I'm worried..... so far, anyone heard any comments of the sound system???

Pls advise.

Hey Jacq,

Hilton provides the LCD projector at a fee at abt $250. But u may want to try asking them to waive that. They might agree.... good luck!

Hi PF

Hilton has about 11 or 12 cards and 3 types of guest books to choose from. I have heard from June that they have just changed their decor recently. You can ask them to show you the pics for the new decor.

Had my wedding in Hilton this yr june... had a high tea and a banquet following....

Eve, 45 tables not really cramp.... rest assured cos mine was exactly 45...

they waive the LCD charge for me as I demand for it... this are the benefits one should get in a wedding as hv already paid for the ballroom so everything in the ballroom should be already accounted for and free for the couple's usage...

June can be very straight with her reply... dun be intimidated by her.... If needed u can code names of couple whom u know they r getting it for free... anyway... using of the LCD... is at no cost to the hotel....

Hi,

Hilton willl provide some % of free parking right? But the carpark lot was really limited. So where do the rest of the free parking should they park if the lots in hotel are all taken up? Does the free parking applicable to the open car park?

I understand that its 2 waiters to 3 tables. VIP is 1 to 1. They would give you some free parking tickets for both the hotel carpark and the URA carpark at the back but there's limited quantity. I do not know about the sound system but should be fine I suppose.

Hi PF

I have around 23-25 tables and mine is on the weekday. I suppose they will give perks for weekday package. I have also enchanged some of the items for an additional night stay.

Hi mspiggy

Mine is on 18/12/03. When's yours?

PF,
They let u have the food tasting first? I thought we must sign the contract before they let us taste the food. hee hee...

So if you're not going to sign up then u have to pay for the food rite?

OK..thanks!

Hi Worry

The waiter will scoope the food for the VIP tables but the rest of the guests will have to scoope themselves.

Hi E

There are 3 types of design for the guest books.
One is in ivory colour with some wordings on it and the other two are those traditional red books.

mspiggy

Hi Maro,
Hilton min requirement for weekends is 40 tables but u can try asking them to reduce it.

Hi Worry,
Only the VIP tables are served by the waiters... and the rest are self-serving.
