Grand Park City Hall

w3n, your coordinator is Janice right? maybe some other BTBs can pm you in private.. i have no prior dealings with Janice...

read back the past thread... you should be able to find out more...

yup Jiening... I am here...

very happy with GPCH at how my solemnization was being carried out... It was coordinated by the ex-banquet sales manager, William... The level of detail was really good...

now, my new coordinator cum senior banquet sales manager, Christopher is also carrying on the tradition. =P

haha... think most BTBs would know me.. if people are good to me, i will go all out to return the favour back to them... good begets good!

my simple philosophy.

yup is janice. ermmm only tomorrow then she can tell me if i can get the date i want. i cant find her now so tomorow then know everything.

is it okie to change the cordinator to chris? ermmm since i have not even sign anything yet.

if i take a sunday banquet but i take the sat menu (ruby) is it okie? anyone knows? my mum prefers the sat menu. sat package includes one night helper room instead of day use. so i wonder if they will give that too....

w3m, pertaining to taking sunday banquet but taking sat menu.. that is possible.. however, the pricing will be following that of saturday..

for discussion of perks, it would be best to discuss with your wedding coordinator... as u have not signed anything... i believe as consumers, we do have a choice

yup i will check with the cordinator tomorrow and finalise everything.

since there is so much of good reviews on chris, i am thinking of changing my cordinator. haiz dunno.

w3n, check your pm for update..

hope it helps

okie i think i am more or less settled liao. waiting for the proposal, chose a sunday dinner instead of waiting for the couple to confirm the sat dinner.

btw, the proposal, do we need to state simple things such as...dishes can change at no extra charge (same type of ingredients)...or those that we agreed verbally like carpark coupon to 25 % instead for example. I heard before that sometimes the cordinator comes and goes in every hotel and write everything in the proposal is to safe guard ourselves. ermm.

what time u all start your dinner (for past couples) or what time do u all intend to start?

ermmmm reception is usually 45 mins or half hr?

wen..my coordinator is janice...so is my sis...she is actually very good and frendly and helpful...got alot of good review on her de...maybe they have many coordinators den some verbally agree other couples but never update....

sunday is also good!

yup most likley i will be taking sun and will stick to janice. she is patient with all my 101 qns =)

did u all get the waiver of corkage charge for duty paid wine? (from the wedding show perks). cause is not written in the proposal.

the wedding cake only got 1 type the spiral type right?

w3n > for my contract the waiver of corkage charge is stated together with the liquor portion.. Maybe u can read thru your contract again.. should be in.. IF NOT.. look for Janice.

oh yah it states waiver for all duty paid hard liquor, wine and champagne brought into the hotel. thanks! I missed it out under the beverage section.

oh yah i keep forgetting to ask. what is the chinese name of this hotel? my parents asked me this morning but i totally no idea haha....

forget about the chinese name...

doubt anyone would address or even know its chinese name..

just tell them, its the hotel behind peninsula plaza. everyone will then know le... but tell them, its not excleisser hotel okie...

Hi all, had my wedding dinner last night. The banquet operation manager, Angus were efficient and prompt. I was surprised to see Janice too. Even though she is off duty, she dropped by to ensure that the banquet goes on smoothly.

The food was good. Friends commented that the prawns were fresh and the scallops were sufficient for everyone. Roughly around 3-4 per guest. During the food tasting, we reflected that the quantity of shark fin can be more. Yesterday, we can see that the shark fin was significantly increased.

Although fried chicken is very common but the deep fried golden mushroom makes it unqiue.

Review for the vegetarian and muslim food were very good.

Highly recommended.

dear ipc, your review makes me feel safe with grand park once again. thanks! share your pics when ready kk? hee

by the way, the venue is able to hold 30 + 2 R or 28 + 2R? At first i scare cant hit the minimum now i scare not enough tables and may hit 30. which i prefer not cause will be cramp.

w3n > each table can sit 11 but i think you cant have too many tables with 11 cos it will be very tight. I also have the same issue with some families that i cannot break up and ended up with some 11 tables. I have checked with Christopher already.

Also, dont worry about the Chinese name bah, hardly got pple use Chinese name in SG to refer to hotels anyway. Tell them is the one beside Funan and facing the old fire station and ROM.

The number of tables max is 28+2. New chairs last year, so can now only fit max 30 tables instead of 32 they used to.

Mine is coming up soon in July and food tasting likely in May.

Who will be the folks having wedding dinner after the reno in Sep? From what i understand, Chris himself havent seen the final design of the renovated place as well. But sure will be nice de!!

Hi IPC,

You were the one having wedding on Sunday? We are the couple that Janice actually brought to see the ballroom.

Forgotten to grat you ytd. Congrats!!

Understand from Janice that they didnt got the chance to see the new layout, but she heard from her boss that it is very beautiful. Now the proposal is pending for approval by the owner of this restaurant. It should be release on the wedding show.

Ermmm what thing will be release during wedding show?? Abit blur...

By the way the past couples did u all managed to break even after the banquet?

The approved layout of their ballroom renovation.

I think it's kinda tough to breakeven nowadays with the inclining banquet quotation!

My bestie make a lost of $10k+ for her banquet at MM. =(

Michelle > Thanks.

honestly speaking, if you don't wanna make a loss, try to get a banquet with less than 1k/table.
easier to break even.

janice say can have 30 +2 max..but if u need to utilise the whole 35 tables need to tell her as she need to change chairs..haha

Double J>> We KS ..haha

w3n > wat pictures are you referring to?hotel or me? you can go to bridal boutiques and services, ted collection and look for ipc
