Talk about enhanced decor! I didn't go for the GWP wedding show last year too cuz I was already pre-empt by my coord that the decor was upgraded, hence I didn't wanna go, in case see already, insist that I want. Hahah.
Just to dispel some misconceptions from the above pictures
- Tudor ballroom reception: everytime there was a dinner there, the reception table is always inside the doors, I've never seen it outside, and don't think GWP will allow cuz it's a main thoroughfare within the hotel and GWP won't want ppl to mingle outside.
- Bridal suite: No rose petals for me, only the cheesy towel swans.
Re aircon - for all the weddings I've been I think it is okay, not very hot leh, but then I am one who gets cold easily, so may not be the best judge.
With old hotels such as GWP, cannot expect blasting cool aircon like what we have at home, as their AC systems are built into the structure (which was built eons ago), it's v hard for them to change aircon like how we do it at home. Not sure how you can fix it though, but have to understand why the aircon may not function as well as how our air-conditioned nation is used to. We want old hotels, have to live with some of the old hotel idiosyncrasies. Can also be the lighting in the ballroom on the day itself? Cuz there is a lot of ppl and also got fashion show, so I assume there was a lot of spotlights.
