Foreign offender need to be deported?

Hi , anyone could help to advise for foreign offender (repeated stealing), after serving their sentence in Singapore prison, will they be allowed to stay in Singapore or will be deported out of the country immediately same day upon release?

I hope they are not allowed to stay any further, brought a lot of troubles for me. Can anyone advise? Appreciate very much.
