I dun have any pics but its more for those fixed rod when u need to take out ya curtain to wash...the velcro for easy remove and fix on...

Now my prob all solved cos I jus went to IKEA to get those rod and brackets and fix on my own...so much cheaper and the ready made curtains can get frm places like Spotlight, john little for ready made ones. One room for a 2 panel windows only ard $40 bucks...

usually before washing..u need to stick the velcro together to make it last longer..dats wat some shops r teaching me..custom made ones can also come with velcro...

Me also trying to source, went to one curtain maker and was quoted 1.7K for the following:
1. Night curtain (transparent one) for living and dining
2. Night curtain for master, children room (2 walls all windows), study room
3. Frosted glass for 2 toilets (my MBR toilet 2 walls are all windows)
The most expensive curtains is the children room cos 2 walls are windows and one of the windows need curve track.

Is the above quotation okay? Any comments? Help...

I personally think for MBR do a black out curtain.. for LR, you can opt for those normal night curtain should be sufficient

hi jo, day curtain is those see thru kind, the night curtain is the thicker, cannot see thru kind. you can see them from the above pic posted.

U can see the white curtain, that's the day curtain.
Night curtain is the one in brown..
As for blackout curtain, never heard b4....only know gt black out blinds...

blackout curtain means no light can get through at all... means once the curtains is down, its completely dark... =)

Jo - night curtain does not necessary black out the lights...still got some lights tt can seep thru'... Blackout curtain will black out the room..somethink like hotel...erm...u can check with curtain maker..they can advise.

Erm...are you going to open or close the window? If open, definately can see wat's in the hse..unless ur curtain is down. If close, u might want to have a layer of plastic (dunno call wat) on the window...so they can't see thru' what's inside even if they go closely to the window.

For corridor window, I would suggest to get day and night curtain. Day curtain is the thin kind..like lining or organza, night curtains are thicker materials. For black out curtains are more for the bedroom...eg: blackout so can sleep during day also like night time. For a blackout in living room...ur living room is gonna be very dark worh!!

think either a blind or normal night curtain will do.
Else U ask the curtain person to recommend to U.
For us, initially its all curtain, when he comes...he said curtains r not suitable for my dining area & BRs.
Dining area looks nicer with blinds...So, I selected roman blinds for dining area...same material as my living rm.

Night curtains for 2 bedrooms.

Window size-5 no. of glass panels, to floor length.

Is the pricing reasonable or expensive?

I forgot abt the cost of my fabric. But the total cost is abt $880. It includes installation of one track in my MBR. Day curtains for living and 3 bedrooms. Nite curtain for living only.

Yup, the cost of my material is abit pricy.. $20plus? i really dun rem.. my nite curtain also cost abit more ('cos i chose smth with abit of design).

I think my curtains cost quite reasonable..

For the two guest room, it's a cheaper range from master bedroom and living room..

Guest room i think is btw the range of $19-$23,the living and master is btw $25-$30 i think.. not sure lei..

BUt anyway.. I paid for it already.. =P

I dunno about others, but for me, I was given an estimate quotation based on my floor plan, and if okie, I pay the shop a $50 deposit.

After measurement, the shop called me to give the actual pricing and so on...
