0.75 carats, F, VS1, custom made design (Fairy's Inc)

I like an ideal cut, so fiance couldn't buy Brilliant Rose, Gabrielle, etc (in fact he's quite happy cos ideal is slightly cheaper)

I love the ring, it's one of a kind! He designed and Fairy's set it.
 
My proposal ring is 0.55 carat, E colour VS1.. its looks much bigger though, almost a 0.7 cos of the cut. But I'm happy with my ring as its really shiny too haha but the most impt thing is that it is my fiance love for me that lead him to propose and get the ring..

bf also proposed on my birthday which was just a few days ago.

He proposed with Lazare diamond, 0.47carat, VS2, D colour. He set it upon 6 prongs, tiffany setting.

By the way, which finger is ur proposal ring on? mine is on 3rd left :D
 
My bf proposed on our 6mths anniversary with a 0.72 (My fav no. is 72 cos it symbolises my name) Color F, VVS1, self design setting against a "eiffel tower" looking prong (where we had our first kiss)

To me, the importance is not the size nor diamond clarity.. its the story that goes behind the ring. Thats why I request to design our wedding bands in return =)

mine is 0.53 carat, E colour, vvs2 and excellent cut. To me the most touching thing is that he chose the diamond and design the ring himself, so i'll have the one of the kind in the whole world.

And he oso made it special by bringing me to pattaya on our anniversary and propose there. =)

Mine ring is 0.72 carat, E color, VVS2 fr Goldheart. I heard diamonds fr Goldheart or Lee Hwa is of better grade. Have surveyed that e diamonds at goldsmith shops is more expensive. To elyse: hoe much is ur Bvlgari B.Zero 1 ring with diamonds? I just bought 1 w/o diamonds at $1530.
 
Just to share, nowadays diamond are getting cheaper. 1 of my fren's hubby bought a 1 carat diamond ring for her fr Soo Kee, cant rem if its D or E color cost ard $8000.
 
The cheaper 1 carat rings from Soo Kee are of a lower clarity (VS1, VS2 or SI) and cutting isn't as good. Some of them have IGI and not GIA certs. IGI grading is less stringent.

My proposal ring is 0.73, D colour, VVS1(tink its close to flawless). Bought from lee hwa.

Juz my point of view...proposal ring to be worn daily ...color must buy better cos its more obvious than necklace or other jewellery.

Diamonds that come with AGS certs are supposed to be of the highest quality as AGS is deemed by many to have very stringent standards, followed by GIA.

Thus, as Lee Hwa's Destinee's range comes with AGS certs, they're deemed to be 'better' than Soo Kee's Brillant Rose.

But at the end of the day, it's what pleases the naked eye that matters.

Personal Likes: Exclusive cut. Extra sparkly when compared side-by-side to a well-spec-ed round diamond.
Personal Dislikes: Seems a little pricier if judging spec-wise. G color.



Diamond 2
Shape: Round (57 facets)
Cut: Ideal rating
Color: E
Clarity: VS1
Weight: 0.73carat
Personal Likes: Detailed specs are equivalent to branded ones, (e.g. H&A, Lazare, Brilliant Rose, etc) easily recognized market value. E color.
Personal Dislikes: Not exactly special. Easy to find another similarly spec-ed diamond.
 
I would suggest going for the standard 57 facets. It has better value and I feel that it looks like a diamond than those with so many facets will look like crystal ball.

Did you check out private jewellers like Vivo Diamonds, Jose gems, etc? They usually have higher quality diamonds for better value.
 
Judy: my diamond is from Gassan diamonds (Holland) and its 103 facets. It shines very beautifully and doesn't look like a crystal ball. =)

nina, may i ask how much you paid for it via vivodiamonds? does the ring look the same in the pix as i understand that vivodiamonds is an online store...
