hee Cherry Chirpy: agree. Im counting down still. Going to Hasadsity to make the accessories for the CS next week.
Any ideas what looks to go for? CS seems like confined to an elegant look.

Hey Chinzilla , when is your cheongsam ready ? What colours have you use ?
Hey Dawn , my bridal shop also provided cheongsam, I seen their cheongsam not bad. But I am the kind who loves cheongsam and I wanna have my own . It a very good excuse now to use this chance to convince myself to MTM a nice cheongsam . hahahaz
I mean normal basis , you will just buy off the rack but you wont want to spend so much to MTM a cheongsam . It wedding so good excuse ! hee
MTM cheongsam can fit the figure nicely and can be very unqiue.
I saw some works Wilson made super nice !
His shop is call Max Couture at Katong Shopping centre , #01-83C .

Metro: hey! Thanks! Icic.. Earlier u mentioned that u need the CS for photoshoot in April? Think it's too short a time for Wilson to do CS also... He took 4 mths for mine.. If you're on budget, maybe can trying renting from the bridal studio? Some of them do hv nice CS also..
In fact, I deliberated for some time before making mine.. Went down to studio to see what they hv.. It tends to be limited.. But do give it a try! î… u may find what u like!

Cherry, chinzilla,guinguin, thanks for the encouragement. Already said I wanted to pay for myself, but HTB said he did not like cheongsam.
Haiz, then mum also said no need cheongsam. I will scrap the idea for now... I already see Wilson's work... pretty! I think I will make cheongsam next year or during my sister's wedding

BTW ladies, where in Singapore is good to take with CS ? Wilson keep ask me to wear it for outdoor shoot instead of indoor shoot at the bridal shop .

GUys are like that , if they see you look really good. They totall blown off and change their mind.

lovingjul: still have to collect the CS, fitting, collect the car plate and the accessories i ordered for the PS. buy all the ling ling long long for the PS. haha and I need more time to lose weight!!! haha
Hrm probably wun get a hand bouquet for the PS. will it seem too modern? i ordered a bangle and hair comb from Hasadasity to match, so thought of highlighting that instead. are u getting one?

hrm was thinking in addition to Shanghai theme /oriential places (which off hand would include China club, emerald hill, chinatown,chinese garden, the bund @ fullerton bay hotel, tangs, those chinese restaurants)
I guess there are other themes to play with e.g. a very modern looking place that can accentuate the oriental-ness of the CS.
e.g. Singapore arts muesum, asian civilisation museum, dempsey , butter factory, zouk, holland v, some old abandon house etc..

Yes. This bouquet is done by fresh peonies. I think It's gd to match with CS since peony is crown as the queen of flowers & also a very auspicious flower to the chinese. But maybe the stems, I think change to wrapping around with pearls, you think it look nice?

Ya. I've checked with the florist, they also said smaller pearls around the stems easiler to hold the bouquet during phototaking. Oh yes, your idea of the embroidery cloth sounds good. Let me check with the florist as well. Thanks for your idea!

i've just settled my cheongsam with zion creation. very warm and patient service from lorraine and her mom. they have quite a few different types of cheongsams there for you to try before you decide on making one too - which is great especially for someone who is indecisive like me. their cheongsam designs are rather different too and her choice of fabrics is fantastic!

hey jul and chinzilla - thank you for the welcome! haha anyway i found zion creation along the way as i was heading to arab street to recce for some fabrics to get some inspiration for my cs. went to wilson before but wasn't sure at that time. went in twice to zion and was sold as they could design my wedding gown too
