errr...tried your guide on yahoo to configure the icq thing, dun seem to find the place to "enable proxy" etc, mind if i ask u be more exact, me using win 98...

onzz, for icq, are you using web icq? if you using web icq (go.icq.com), then you dont have to config it. it'll auto config itself. but if you use those normal icq, then might not be able to pass thru firewall, if you company has installed one.
 
Hey I'm completely idiot on this.. Can't use msn cos have to download? and we can't. Can you be more specific abt yahoo: Go to yahoo.com and? As for web icq go to the web page liao then what ah? Pai sei IT idiot.. Ha ha
 
no worries. i take you through step by step. 1st, try to get your icq to work, before we move onto yahoo.

1. go to go.icq.com
2. if a second small window does not load, you have to click "If ICQ2Go! does not start - click here" (right above a box where you can tick)
3. a window like the image below will pop up

4. then you can enter your icq number and password click 'connect'.
5. when you're connected you'll be able to see your contacts.

hiya vamp10, that error seems like icq's own error. means nothing to do with you. some people try about 10-20 times manage to get thru. some just out of no where get that error. anyways, you try again, if still cannot, email me : angelings at gmail.com. will let you know more
