i think for the $105 per mth promotion, there is alot of limitation to the classes offered just like student plan. Probably its gd for home-makers. $105 per mth is exp too.

would like to find out if any of you has any experience whereby the package purchased was forfeited because did not commence (go for 1st class) within 6 months of purchase or something like that?

I had one basic package that still has some lessons expiring, so they tell me if I purchase a new one, it will start after the old lessons finished. HOWEVER, now they tell me that since I had not started the first lesson (of the new package) after 6 mths of purchase, the new package has been forfeited! To me, as long as my old one not used finish how to start the new one?
Pls help!! What can I do?
 
Hi anscla, I didnt encounted such problem before so might not be of any help. Think its better for you to call the outlet where you sign up your package and find out more.

BTW why didnt you start the 1st lesson within 6 mths of purchasing the package and still want to sign on to the another new package? If due to any reason, I think the staff can actually extend the package expiry date for you esp if you travel frequently. For me, I travel quite frequently, so juz need to show passport/boarding pass, they will extend the expiry date accordingly to the no of travelling days.

that is their usual rule.have to start package within 6 months otherwise it will be forfeited..unless you were mislead into thinking that you could extend the expiry date of the first package with the purchase of the 2nd package..

Yes, more of what Belladona said is true..
I signed on a short 6 mths package while on maternity leave. After start work, no time to go. a number of lessons left so they offer to extend it on the condition that I buy a new one year package. As the old package is not over yet, so I have no chance to start the new package..yes..I'm fine even if they terminate the first package.. but to forfeit my whole unused package is abit too unfair for me.. afterall they did collect the money

Thought if there's any case whereby someone managed to convince the mgmt to reinstate the package - WITHOUT telling us to purchase a new package of course... sigh...
 
Anscla, you are on maternity leave, so you can give them this reason as to why you didnt start the class. I do know of some women who cant do strenuous exercise after giving birth for 3 mths. Likewise, tell them tat and see wat is their response to you.

I tink their staff turnover rate is high. Moreover, I tink they do earn commission for every successful package signed.

Go and speak to their manager rather than the staff. Hopefully you find a solution soon.

I signed up with Amore as well.
Expired dates is 5 years from now.

I think Amore package is transferable in the sense that many users can use one card BUT to book the appointment has to be the person whose name is written in the card.

Let say for me :
I signed the $5K package and I used it monthly to do facial and underarm hair removal --> I just need to pay 40% off their a la cart price. Then my friends and my mom use the card to do their treatment as well.

I just need to book appointment for them and their treatment will be off 40% as well. They no need to pay in cash after treatment coz it will be deducted from my $5K package. As for my friend, they pay back for me directly the amount they use for the treatment.

I have an Amore package left till May 2010. It's unlimited package at any branch, including GST, it is $105+/a month, but I am willing to let go at $100/month for whatever that is remaining.

Currently, I have an AMORE package to let go.
Remaining sessions: 47 sessions of classes/gym and steambath usage. (Originally had 48 classes. Only went once. >.<)
Selling at: $650 (Originally at $720, prices are negotiable)
Expiry date: Feb 22, 2011 (there's still more than 6mths to go)
Venue: Any Amore fitness center except Amore Fitness at Tampines One and City Square Mall as these two outlets are only for unlimited package holders.

My package is suitable for those of you who are only able to go for classes for once or twice a week.
