Advice needed on BTO flat

Hi all,

Need some advise. I have broken up with my boyfriend. However, we still have a BTO flat that is currently building. Do you have any idea if I am co-owned the flat with one of my parent? My parents currently the owner of one flat. Can I remove the name of my mother from the current flat and add her name to my BTO flat? My dad will add in my sister name into the current flat. Does HDB allow this? Thanks.

Dear Courage,

No, your plan (breaking up father-mother to form two family nuclei father-daugher mother-daughter when there is NO DIVORCE) is not allowed by HDB.

but you and your sisters if both are aged above 35 can apply to own the BTO flat i.e. replace your BF with your sister.

u should speak to a hdb officer who can advise u the possibilities since they know the system the best. i did that, and in 10mins, i was given so much info of what i can or cannot do. not everything is told to u openly...
