I have my own personal blog but thinking whether I should do one for wedding stuff.

for mi i do it mainly for sharing info with families and friends who are overseas. its easy to disseminate info in this manner. hehehe
 
Yea.. I'm also tempted to do a wedding blog, but got no time to even update our blog much nowadays. We're still trying to put in our wedding stuff into our blog but couldn't keep up. :/

this reminds me in e blog I set up to record e little details me n him went through for our AD, I didn't include how we two Have progressed.. I only wrote abt how he asked me. Haha, I'll go blog abt this when I've e time! Tks Rachel for giving me e inspiration. Brings me back to e past. Hehe.

I tink it's gd to have one cos even Now when I miss my gown shopping days, I'll read my previous posts n recall e fun moments. I can imagine down e yrs,it'll serve as sweet readings. ;) now it's Juz I dunno if I shld get a real 'weddingblog' or just stick to my present one cos for e normal blog there's more flexibility it seems?
 
pinkglove: Ours is a normal blog... about our courtship and little nitty gritty stuff about our relationship. A lot of major lobang here and there coz we're both too 'busy' to blog sometimes. Now most of the stuff is about our wedding, so I think we'll just keep the wedding stuff in there.

I have seen couples who have a dedicated blog about the wedding - with wedding pics, proposal, honeymoon, etc. Those really need a lot of time and dedication to do. I will pray that my FH has that kinda motivation, coz I know that I don't. :p
 
Pinkcoral: it's nice ur htb does these things with u! My fiancé's totally not into these stuff.I saw those nice blogs too but i've Difficulty maintaining 1blog, let alone 2blogs.. N sometimes I just wanna write rubbish. Haha.So prob have to stick to e normal blog.. So tat can continue even after my AD..

just a little update. last week i was still grumbling that i have yet to get my banquet venue, got "rejected" by 4 hotels already on the date we wanted.

yesterday my other half & i went to Swissotel wedding showcase, and we confirmed our AD on the requested date !! I'm soooo happy and relieved cause "10" is significant to us

Ladies... quick question, esp for those taking local shoots with ala carte designers.

Have anyone confirmed your photoshoot dates yet? How far in advance do we have to confirm this? Because we have to arrange with the BS so that the alterations etc will be completed before that and the MUA will be available on that day...

I am doing the coordination by myself because I am not engaging any of the photographers that my BD tie up with. So just need a rough timeline, so that I dun sound too kancheong... (which my HTB is insisting that I am).

That's what happens when u marry someone who is laidback and u are the opposite.

Hi Kass.. Euzart commented before that as my wedding day is Nov 2011, there is no hurry for me to plan anything now. In fact in his words, he always say 'still very early now' and he laughed. Hmmpf! :P Hehe

After reading your comments on the Jawn thread, Ive checked with OEC. They said they do the prewedding shoots at least 3 months before AD. So now that I know roughly when is good for my prewedding shoots, I will then go to both Euzard (for my MUA) and OEC comes end of this year.
 
kass: i would do my PS at least 4 months in advance to give e PG ample time to edit and the gowns maybe to start choosing ard 4-5 mths before e PS so that if u can't find anything u like OTR, there'll still be enough time for mtm?

Can I ask, if you take up a package with PGs like moomedia, how do you get gowns and makeup done??

Btw, wanna check with you all any good recommendation for PG & VG ? The one I like cost me bout 3k for VG and 2.3k for PG. Sadly to say that the VG i like , they don't do childhood montage. May I ask for those who sign up VG & PG already , do they provide childhood montage ?

Sighz, Initally I wanna do my own montage, but becoz of the license thing. I don't think it possible. I heard that u can do the slideshow but no music. So while you play the slideshow, you play the original CD Song . is it true ?
 
If you take outside photographers who are not tied in with your BS, then u need to coordinate such that your PS will take place on the day your MUA is available. For the gown, it should already be ready before then, but ur BS should make sure your dress is ready.

For one-stop BSs and for those PGs who tie up with the BSs, the BS will do the coordination. However, if u choose an outside PG or a PG which doesn't tie up with the BS, u will need to do the coordination.
 
rururoo: there are ala-carte BS which only provides gowns, men suits & makeup services.. PG services are usually not included in their packages..

Cherry: I'm taking Avenue 8.. I didn't ask much about childhood montage coz I'm not really into it.. which VG/PG u're looking at?

Cherry Chirpy >> does your 2.3k for PG include album? Or is it service only? I have quite a few recommendations for service only for 2.3k, but u must be comfortable with the photographer and like his style, that is the most impt!

If u play the original CD song, it will come under the Hotel's license I think, so as long as u don't embed it into your montage, u should be fine. Not very sure myself, so someone can correct me if I am wrong.

I sorted out my photographers! Going to use RedCo for Pre-Wedding and Edmund Leong for actual day! Decided to go with different photographers for PS and AD so that we can have 2 different photography styles for our wedding. Very excited cuz we found out during our chat with both that both photographers are friends of friends and I really like both their styles!

ruru: I tink u can also choose to have ur AD PG & VG by e same one-stop bridal shop if u like their works. They do provide such services..

Cherry: If ur budget's ard there, I tink u can get very good VG & PG.. so u prob can widen ur option and look around more.. but the pricing will b around there if u expect this type of quality I guess...

I dunno if it's cos i've settled most of e wedding stuff,a bit shake leg.. Im starting to tink of engaging a band for my AD..haha.. am thinking of using e prior incident where we opt out of the additional PS package + album offered by Sil for only another $700 to psycho fiance to consider hiring a wedding band since we managed to save this $700..haha..
 
Cherry chirpy>> I’m with Unique colours, got it cos’ of its comprehensive package.. wanted 2 PG and 1 VG, but was recommended for 2VG and 1PG package. They do childhood montage, same day photo slideshow and same day highlights for ur AD banquet. U can check them out if u interested. My package also includes instant prints.

Sigh, my initial plans of renting Burkill hall at the botanics is gone cos they are still doing "reno" pop by Last sunday but it looks ok to me. However Nparks said won't be ready (my AD is in early March) Now looking at villa halia, I love the outdoors so I am planning a garden theme wedding.
