as per feedback from forum, i think both SIL and TWP have similar gowns. i have not been to TWP myself as i'm pretty satisfied with SIL. the prices are quite competitive between them. if you like big ballgowns, you may want to pay them a visit...

it definitely creates a dreamy/princess look... and of coz a grand entrance during the first march-in!

Sapphire - yikes i hope your 11.11.11 isn't too much =( It's a Friday so maybe they cannot jack up the price as much.
 
pinkglove - who are you thinking of choosing as your PG so far? I think last time you said you interviewed Lighted Pixel, etc.?

I want to choose my PG too, but think the ones you looked at may be too pricey for me... are they taking bookings for 2011 and could you share their package with me? Thanks!
 
HI moss.. thanks, I also hope they wont jack up too much coz as you've said.. it's a Friday.

However, alot of hotels marked up the prices from Fri onwards and consider it as weekend.

Keep my fingers cross...
 
Hi moss389, im most prob going to go ahead with John lim photography for PS and im only going to decide on my pre wedding shots. For AD me and htb not as particular about it, so won't spend too much on it. =)
 
so presently I'm sorry I dun have any AD packages to share yet but from what I've gathered so far, if it's a relatively good PG, I think the rates starts from around $2k for around 10 hrs. But I've seen cheaper alternatives and they are good too =)

And yes, the PG I've spoken to have already started taking in bookings for 2011. =)
 
btw moss,i think some of the prices they quoted included photo album, so if u do not need the album, they will give a discount. =)Cos I enquired one and requested for no album and it was a few hundreds off.

I can pm u some of the other websites which I went to and they seemed to offer quite good rates. =)and u can also see if u need them to be around the whole day or just a few hrs.

Just some thoughts.. Might be worth it to go for those who charge by per hr if u only want the PG to be ard for a few hrs..

Yeah, I went to SIL in May. But this sat going again, to see if I can find any gowns that I like. You? Have you selected any tulle gowns?
 
Hi gals, I thought I was early in my preparation too. Went to Suntec for the bridal show and realised my HTB and I were like the only ones there! Needless to say, we are being pulled left and right to sit down for a consultation. Everyone here must be really excited about the big day! GCW is out of my budget too, and we are planning our AD in Feb 2011, but thanks for the information, at least we know what's the market price now

Hey Baby Pie, I should be signing up with them tmr when I go down. The last time I went, it's either I like the top or the bottom. So I may also need to MTM my top.

How much do you need to top up to MTM the top?
You chose tulle with which kind of embroidery?

i top up $700 for tulle, and MTM top for $200 (if more details may need more). i think this is pretty standard pricing.

Did you have any embroidery at the bottom of your tulle gown? Mine is with beads.

hey ladies,

i am a btb in oct 2010, i went to GCW to have a look also when i was deciding for my venue. The coordinator also told me if i wan to book the ballroom, i will need to pay an additional of $50 to secure ( i check with them in 2009 can't remember the exact date) but apparently, the rate is still the same at 888nett. I tink for those who haven't cfm the date, best is to wait for them up the date den check again, else lugi a lot..

byw juz in case, i sign up wif goodwood park in the end. =)

Hi everyone, I am a 2011 BTB too! However, I don't have to luxury go bridal shopping like most of you as I am based overseas and only return during the CNY. Therefore, all your comments are very important to me.

Firstly, I am interested in Whitelink for my package and was wondering if anyone has/had experience dealing with them. What sort of packages do they offer? Or any other good packages with good service to recommend.

Secondly, any brides signing up with Raffles Hotel, Fullerton or Marriot? Pls advice. I have chosen these based on the information from the forum as I only intend to have 8-10 tables and most hotels do not cater for that little amount.

thanks Siy =). Paris holds special memories for both of us, so it's like a dream come true to take pre-wedding shots there. Me and HTB will treat it as our honeymoon to save cost. hehe =)
 
Hi Hamlet,

Haa, actually I'm looking to holding my wedding dinner at Marriott in 2011. My sister held hers there last christmas! The food was excellent, the ballroom was very well-done and the staff were very helpful, especially her wedding planner. I went into the Bridal suite and it was one of the best I have seen so far, I don't know if I am biased in my opinions, but I really think Marriott is an excellent choice..

I had bad experience with Marriot so not recommended.

A dinner that I attended served food thats cold, and the shock was when dessert was served. Red bean soup, but its all dried up that the content got stuck on the ladle and need to be scrapped off.

Just my humble opinion :P

I do not have the pictures for you if you are talking about the Marriott ballroom. I was there last year and could remember everyone commented on the lovely ballroom. As for my bridal package, I am going ala-carte!

I have signed with a freelance photographer friend of mine who provides me with the photography and MUA, when my wedding gets nearer then I will go get my wedding gown and evening dress! Now I'm only plannin of my ROM in Dec!

Which bridal studio are you looking at? And don't worry gal, you will do fine! It's rather fun, just that there are many nitty gritty things..

31 images pricing is on the higher side. Secret Heaven have got free gowns for pre-wedding shoot. Halcyon8studio also not bad.


Any Banquet recommendations? I shortlisted Waterfront Copthrone, Intercontiental and Marina Mandarin.
