I honestly am quite lost as to wat else i need.. so far settled venue, AD PG & VG & most likely will be takin my BS fm my fren.. wat else is there?

wedding favours - from hotel
wedding stationary - hotel provide
confirm JP - only can do 3 mths b4, none willing to commit now & the one I wan has already been taken by anther bride
ROM - efile 3 mths b4
wedding theme - no idea.. was told by hotel that florist will change theme every 3 mths so too early to confirm & since i not getting favours or stuff from outside.. i suppose it doesnt matter?

Babydino: Here is a checklist which i've copied, typed & edited from a mag..i've posted this here many mths ago...just to share again:

Wedding Checklist-

18 months before:
- Set wedding date, have standby dates ready
- Determine your wedding style and budget
- Get recommendations for wedding sites & service providers. Start attending wedding shows & scouting for locations.
- Book venue. Some months are particularly popular, eg Aug-Jan, so u'll need to book early.
- Begin a diet/exercise regime &U start getting into shape
- Start a folder with sections dress, suits, flowers etc to file away ideas. MAke a checklist & tick off as items get done.
- Start reading bridal magazines & checkout bridal salons.

12 months to go:
- Book a wedding planner if u need/want help
- Shop for wedding bands
- Select ur bridal party attendants, bridesmaids, etc. Assign them their duties.
- Shop for florists, makeup artists, planners, favours, etc.
- Settle ur wedding stationery design if urs is custom made.

9 months to go:
- Book wedding date with ROM, church or Justice of Peace
- Confirm venue if u haven't done so. Discuss menu
- Buy wedding bands
- Organise ur entertainment. Ask for vendors'quotes & plan ur music selection
- Confirm salon, dress & suits. Book hair & makeup
- Shop for bridesmaids'& groomsmen's outfits, & ur accessories such as heels & jewellery.
- Compile the guest list with ur fiance & both parents
- Enquire abount wedding car rental
- If u're having a church ceremony, plan the programme & get quotations from vendors
- Plan ur honeymoon trip, places to go & the budget

6 months to go:
- Confirm all vendors for music, flowers, etc. They can begin work.
- Go for pre-wedding shoot
- Reserve rooms for overseas guests
- If u're having chinese customary, plan on the 'guo da li'& án chuan' stuff
- Confirm menus & liquor list
- Book ur honeymoon trip

3 months to go:
- Finalise guest list & start planning seating arrangements
- Confirm Transportation for urself & out-of-town guests
- Send reminders for venues & solemnisation officiant
- Research & book photography/videography packages
- Confirm all wedding decor ideas, bouquets, centrepieces
- Send out invitations for out-of-town guests
- Discuss different looks with hair & makeup people & go for trial runs. Confirm looks.
- Go for banquet food tasting & to collect invitation cards from hotel.
- To arrange for invitation card printing & collection
- Confirm on the 'guo da li'& án chuan' stuff

2 months to go:
- Send out local invitations
- Confirm that out-of-town guests have received invitations & settled accommodation details
- Choose thank-you gifts for attendants
- Organise seating arrangement

1 month to go:
- Chase late RSVPs, finalise guest list & seating arrangement
- Confirm that ur gown & bridesmaid dress will be ready on time
- Prepare fees/angbao where applicable, eg. for JP, helpers, 'xiongxi'& 'jiemei'.
- Fix a date for a church rehearsal. Notify attendants.
- Arrangement for 'guo da li'& án chuan' stuff

2 weeks to go:
- Have ur church rehearsal
- Collect dresses & coats
- Enjoy hen & stag dos

1 week to go:
- Finalise all minor arrangements that haven't been done.
- Arrange & inform bridesmaides/bestman or helpers the task to do on ur wedding
- Go for spa, facial & medicure

On the Day:
- Let ur chief bridesmaids or planner take charge of everthing.
- Relax & enjoy ur wedding day!

Babydino, i believe all banquet related stuffs, we can check with our hotel coordinators 3-4 mths before our AD. Now u can look into wedding band, vendor for insert printing, pre-wedding shoot stuffs, wedding shoe, entertainment etc. Will reply to ur msg later

I got quote yesterday, I have AD MUA day n night with prettybox as it is in my AD wedding package with my BS. Yesterday prettybox PIC call me to inform me about the additional charges like ampoule eyelash and surcharge if you want the MUA to arrive at 6am to start make up in the morning.. so i want to check is this normal.. oh by the way, Prettybox provide renting of gown for jie mei too..

Anyway Amy, the additional charges you mention is normal. But again it depends on the MUA 'cos some don't really do additional charge.

Anyway here's some information regarding the use of license songs for your photo montage or video. I have sent an email this morning enquiring the use of license-free songs/music for my photo montage and this is the reply I got:

If you are not reproducing sound recordings belonging to the record companies represented by RIPS for your wedding photo montage, you do not require a licence from us.

So that means if any of you wish to use any music and need to apply for license, check if the song/music is under the recording companies under RIPS (http://www.rips.com.sg/our_record_companies). If not, then feel free to use without applying for license!

I think my vendor has the license for montages, so that I dun need to worry.. Worrying abt march in songs though.. Under the same license? Coz there's another authority called COMPASS. I'm confused~~~

Queen: For march-in, my wedding co-ordinator said use original CD if we want our own songs. No license is needed for that. License is only for photo montage and video. He referred us to RIPS for montage songs/music to check with them. Probably you can check with your wedding co-ord.

half eternity ring btr as can still change sizing when ur finger becomes fatter during pregnancy... full eternity cannot change sizing with all the bling but i still prefer full eternity ring as i liked more blings.. hurhur.

Hey girls, yesterday I dropped by jewellery shop and the pple there told me gold price has been increasing since Dec, and expected to increase til probably Chinese New year, so if you need to custom make any jewellery, gotta make them soon, coz I heard their pricing gets revised every 3 days based on gold price....

Vivi, oh ya, full eternity cannot be resized, otherwise need to reset all the diamonds...I am pretty scared of resizing, coz previously when I bought my wedding band, I didn't like the feeling that the ring keeps moving, and I need to adjust it all the time, so I bought something just nice, so meaning, it's hard to remove it....so I can't imagine if my finger gets fat...the jeweller told me to get one size bigger but I simply refused....hmm

Mm.. I am getting room for my parents & parents in law. Then 2 rooms for my sisters ( total 9 of them at the moment) and 1 room for the brothers. Cos guys dont need so much . Gals need time & place to dress up .

The MUA will be coming to the hotel to do the make up & hair style for them , inculsive of transport , eyelashes & ampoule . The total price is $100 each
